Horse Racing

Tonights card is made using Graphic 45 patterned paper – A Proper Gentleman, with stampin up cardstock – Handsome Hunter, and a little bit of bazzill for matting . the twine ribbon is from my craft supply. No shopping tonight – nothing needed ( what a shock!) so I was looking forward to some card making time, but it is absolutely freezing through here in the dining room, so I think I will curl up in my chair in front of the heater with a good book instead!

Daughter

Today was photo day, and as threatened Nathan got the photo tent out. Taking the photos was great, it only took a short time, but folding that tent up took a great amount of time, and in the end we had to go on to u-tube and watch a folding demonstration. You will see the results of todays shoot in about a week, I have been building up a stockpile of photos because Nathan has wrestling commitments ( He takes the photos at the shows) for the next couple of weekends and may not be able to take my photos.Todays card was made using Stampin up cardstock – Blush Blossom, and Websters Pages – Postcards from Paris. I used some Prima say it in pearls, Mulberry st. handmade paper flowers, Kindyglitz and a bit of lace from my craft supply. Til Tomorrow…

Dashing

Here is the first of the Fathers Day cards.I used stampin up cardstock – night of navy, and black. The patterned paper is Graphic 45 ‘A proper Gentleman’ and I used stampin up brads and a small amount of string.

Baby boy

There are a lot of mens cards in this next group of photograghs, as I have been busy creating for Fathers Day, but I am going to try and alternate them with other cards,  as I don’t want to bore you all to tears with constant mens cards. I think we all struggle with mens cards, but I don’t think it is entirely our faults, I believe it is quite hard to source  mens papers, stamps, etc. What do you all think? What I really want is an Aussie rules stamp, with a football , goalposts, footy jersey and perhaps boots. Wouldn’t that be great – all our mens card problems would be over and  you could make the cards up in all the different team colours!Tonights card is a baby boy card made with stampin up bashful blue  cardstock and grant archival patterned paper ‘paper chic ‘ by Christine Re. I used a stampin up scallop edger, and stampin up stamp set “Congrats ‘. My craft supply had the button and ribbon. I also used my cuttlebug and nestabilitie dies.

Sandys card

Hi everyone! I missed my blog last night because I had a work commitment, and didn’t get time to come near the computer, and after the efforts of the last time I tried blogging ahead ( and somehow sent the blog straight into the archives ) I wasn’t game to try again, no telling where it would have ended up this time! Anyway, I am cheating tonight and showing you a card made by a work mate.  Quite by accident  I discovered that Sandy is a cardmaker, and last night she brought a folder of her work for me to have a look at. She does beautiful cards, and totally different to mine. It’s funny how we all have our unique looks isn’t it? I got my son Daniel to take a photo of one with his phone, so that I could put it up here for you all to see, and she also put me onto an american stamp company that have lovely stamps for a reasonable cost . Find them at www.oxfordimpressions.com. Tomorrow I will return witha new card for you all to see, til then…..

Handbags

Tonights card is a really simple one.stampin up black cardstock, and silver cardstock, stickers stuck on metallic paper, and cut out, and a bit of ribbon from my craft supply. The fun was photograghing it! We had a beautiful photo of Nathans face reflected in the silver cardstock, it was classic! Sadly Nathan deleted the photo before I could do anything with it, and then set his camera up on a tripod and took the picture remotely. I’m off now to do a bit of cardmaking,I’ll see you tomorrow!

Dinosaur

Todays card uses stampin up certainly celery cardstock and cosmo cricket patterned paper. I used bazill cardstock and stampin up cardstock for the dinosaur and ran the top layer through the cuttlebug using the mesh embossing folder. a wobbly eye finished him off. My cuttlebug was used again with the stampin up tag dies, a happy birthday stamp and a couple of brads completed the card. Quick post today as its shopping night .See you tomorrow!

Butterfly bling

Hi everyone! Today was photography day, and it has taken us most of the day. The light was playing havoc with Nathans settings, and we scrapped 2 tries, we had lights on, lights off, blinds open, blinds closed and at one stage Nathan even crawled under the dining table to get the perfect shot. He says if its overcast next weekend we have to get the tent out. Oh no! The tent is a white pop up tent, quite large, is a nightmare to fold back up again. Bring on the sunny weather! Doesn’t have to be hot , just a consistant light for an hour on Sunday morning would be fine…  I had one little scrap of Kaisercraft Flutterby painted lady patterned paper left over, and I haven’t been able to find any more of this design in my travels, so I decided to let it go with a bang, and a lot of bling! This is the result. The cardstock is stampin up Pretty in Pink, stamp is stampin up Whimsical words, and bling is kaisercraft and kindyglitz.
