This is my Boss Mariannes Birthday card. I have used Stampin Up Early espresso cardstock, and Die cut an oval on the front panel. then backed both front and back with papers from My Minds Eye Lost and Found Blush 6″ paper pad. Lots of ribbon, lace trim, hat pin, flowers and bling! The bird and birdcage were die cut with a Tim Holtz die, and I coloured them with some glossy accents which was coloured with a drop of ink. ( a great technique, thank you Kay).I had some trouble – the card really didn’t stand very well, so I made it a little stand at the back after we took this shot.Marianne loved it, but wonders at the patience required to make these creations ( maybe I’m not that patient at work!) I’ve never thought about it – I didn’t think patience came into it – what do you all think? Til tomorrow….
I think it is a different type of patience, I can spend hours doing one card but if it takes longer than 10 minutes to do something at work – well I;m not known to be patient at work either. I think it is a different head space. glad marianne liked this card.
