Kaisercraft tea Break number 4

IMG_3172 (Medium)A bit of humour today! Love this paper from Kaisercraft – Tea break. Vintage feel and great colours.I did something a bit different with all the corners – instead of rounding them I squared them off, I quite like the effect and will try this again one day – I used the little off cuts to stick in the opposite corners.did some matting as well, using some stampin up cardstock which matched in perfectly colourwise. Hope you all have a safe and happy new year,  til tomorrow….

Tilda Country Escape number 4

IMG_3171 (Medium)Tilda Country escape 12 x 12 paper pad, with a die cut from the pad, and again a very similar sketch to the previous cards but this time I have turned it 90 degrees. I made a little tag for the sentiment, and added more ribbon and lace to finish. A very lazy day day today, with some card making – mainly just finishing projects, and it’s back to work tomorrow. til tomorrow….

Tilda Country Escape number 3 – very vintage!

IMG_3170 (Medium) A very early post today as I have a feeling life around here is going to be busy later on..This is a very similar sketch to the previous card, but I have stepped it up a little bit by adding the doily and a couple of extra layers and ribbon. the paper is Tilda Country Escape 12 x 12 paper pad, and the flowers are by Prima. I punched some leaves with my Martha Stewart frond punch and added some liquid pearls in the top right hand corner. It goes without saying that lace and lovely ribbon also featured! Til tomorrow….

Tilda country escape number 2

IMG_3169 (Medium)This is the second card I made using my Tilda Country Escape 12 x 12 paper pad. I just added some prima flowers, ribbon bow and lace to finish. The sentiment on the die cut ( included in the paper pad) was stamped with a stampin up sentiment stamp from the Perfectly penned set, and I inked all around my edges with tea dye distress ink.Today I have been making some cards for my February lesson useing Kaisercrafts new release for January ( Velvet Crush) – it is the most gorgeous paper and I can’t wait to start on my own cards using it! Til tomorrow….

Very Vintage – Tilda Country Escape..number 1.

IMG_3168 (Medium)Hello, I hope you all had a lovely restful christmas. I had a busy christmas day, but boxing day was nice and relaxing – it was back to work for a few hours this morning, and I have had a lazy afternoon, and the next 3 days rostered days off, so feeling quite happy about that! Todays card is made with  a 12 x12 paper pad I picked up -and it had a few sheets of die-cuts in the pad as well so great value for money. Its a company I haven’t bought before , – Tilda, and the pad is called Country escape but I loved the very vintageness of it. I fussy cit the flowers from one of the sheets, and inked all my edges with Tea dye distress ink. Of course added some ribbon and some kaisercraft pearls to finish. Til tomorrow….

last stamped card, for now…

IMG_3178 (Medium)i say for now because I have been busy stamping this week, and we will get the camera out this weekend and take some photos!. On this card I have used two stamp sets from stampin up – Gorgeous grunge and By the sea shore. I used four ink pads ( stampin up daffodil delight, vherry cobbler, night of nave an early espresso. I stamped  the crab seperately and fussy cut it out and layered it on top  of a piece of hessian. i would like to take this opportunity to say Merry Christmas to you all, and I hope you have a lovely, safe festive season surrounded by your nearest and dearest, and maybe manage to squeeze a little relaxing crafting in there too! I will take a couple of days break from my blog, and I will see you all  at the end of the week…Til then…

Stampin Up male card number 2

IMG_3177 (Medium)Using the same stamp sets as the previous card ( Stampin Up The Open sea and Gorgeous Grunge) I made this one layer card. The ink pads used are Stampin Up cherry cobbler and night of navy, and I added a charm and some hessian to finish. Til tomorrow…..

A stamped Mens card idea number 1

IMG_3176 (Medium)mens cards are always a challenge as there doesn’t seem to be so many paper collections released for this genre, so when I have to make mens cards I often reach for my stamps, and I am always on the lookout for more to increase my stamp collection. The stamps I have used here are from Stampin Up – The Open Sea and Gorgeous Grunge as well as a sentiment stamp. I used  a plain white card as the base, and stamped straight on to it using stampin up inks – Cherry cobbler, night of navy and daffodil delight ( this is where I used one of the gorgeous grunge stamps-little spots under the anchor – it reminded me of grains of sand). In the top right hand corner I glued a charm, some string and hessian , just for a bit of texture, and stamped the sentiment in the bottom right hand corner to finish. I have some new stamps to play with tonight, so may spend an hour or two in the craft room experimenting! Til tomorrow….

kaisercraft Butterfly kisses number 4

IMG_3164 (Medium)Here is the last of my Kaisercraft butterfly Kisses card series. I embossed the cardstock base with cuttlebug swiss dots folder, added a layer of paper from the paper pad and a srip punched with martha stewart lace doily punch. A chipboard piece from the same range and a length of spotted ribbon to finish. Tomorrow I think we will have a look at some mens cards I have been working on. Today I have ahad a lovely day in the craft room, completing an order, making a start on february lessons and playing with my new graphic 45 couture collection papers – I will have to get Nathan busy with the camera this weekend! til tomorrow…..

Kaisercraft Butterfly Kisses number 3

IMG_3163 (Medium)All I have used here is a small amount of patterned paper from the kaisercraft butterfly kisses paper pad, and one of the tags from the same pad.It is the layering on this card that adds interest and this is one of my favourite sketch ideas. I rounded the corners on the right hand side of all the layers, and added ribbon and rhinestones to finish. The card base is stampin up cardstock, and the other plain layer is Kaisercard.looking forward to 3 days off and some time spent in the card room this weekend setting up classes for February! til tomorrow….
