This is the last Kaisercraft sail away ( for a while at least) and I made a gate fold card. The paper inside is from the 6″ pad,and I stamped a sentiment inside, used kaisercraft numbers dies for the age on the front, and a tag from the paper pad, button and bakers twine to decorate.I must make more of the gatefold cards, they are very easy to do, and you don’t have to worry about insert and verses etc, if you have nice paper thats enough!Quick post today, it was back to work, and I must now get the household organised. Kaisercraft sail Away 14 and 15

Another couple of cards made with kaisercraft sail away – can you tell I really liked this collection? I kept coming up with ideas for it and I love the clear colours. The top card is made using the 6″ pad, and a bit of stampin up bakers twine, and the bottom card has some 12 x 12 paper on the background, with a die cut scalloped circle, and an image from the 6″ pad as the focal point. The braid running down the cards is from stampin up and I have had it for years – there’s a hint – always keep everything, one day it will come in handy!! Public holiday today, the weather is not so humid, all my housework is done, so I am off to the craft room! Til tomorrow….
Kaisercraft sail away 12 and 13

Some cards for males now, using Kaisercraft sail away. I have already made quite a few cards with this collection and I have a few more to show you all.The top card is made using a corner of one of the 12 x 12 papers, and adding a greeting from the back of the matching 6″ pad, and adding a charm . The bottom card has a piece of the 12 x 12 paper as the background, and a collectable from the collection as the focal point of the card. There is a strip of patterned paper across the bottom, and the chain above it is die cut using a kaisercraft die.I have cleared all my outstanding work ( finally) in the craft room and I will finally get some time to play with the new papers i have been collecting ! Great fun ahead! til tomorrow….
Echo Park Little man 5 and 6…
Here are my last two creations with Eco Park Little man papers. I only bought a few sheets of this range, but made a nice amount of cards from it, only using the papers and some googly eyes for embellishment. All the cardstock matting is stampin up card, and the stamp set used here for the sentiment is stampin up itty bitty banners.i love papers like this where you can make a whole card for minimum use of products! We have a long weekend here this weekend, with a public holiday on monday,so I am sure I will fit in some time in the craft room, the weather although still humid is cooler too, so all is looking up!Ti tomorrow….

Echo park Little man

Every now and again I buy just a couple of sheets of paper from a range, and this one from Echo Park called little man was one of those times. I love doing cards like this because they are quick, easy, and need no other embellishment other than the paper. I used cardstock from Stampin Up, added googly eyes, and just did some layering. Stopped by paper flourish on my way home from work, and picked up the new graphic 45 papers, so looking forward to sitting down tonight and having a good look at them! til tomorrow…..
Very Vintage

I can’t remember at all what company brought out these papers, and I was actually very surprised to see them in the group we are working our way through! I would imagine it was a collection that came out just after christmas when life was hugely busy and i bought without paying too much attention! anyway i obviuosly made a couple of quick cards with it before I filed it away, and I am sure we will see it again at a future date!!Simple cards, with inked edges ,lace and ribbon.( and a bit of fussy cutting). It is horrendously humid here today and there will be no sitting in the craft room. I have spent some time working on the family tree, and I am at apoint where I have to confer with dad, so that is where I will be this afternoon – besides they have refridgerated air conditioning which is not affected by humidity like our unit is! Two more stampin up Botanical blooms

Here are another two pinterest inspired stampin up botanical blooms cards. These creations in their original form can be found on my stampin up pinterest board. On both cards the dies , papers, and stamps are from stampin up, from their botanical blooms range. The bakers twine on the bottom card is also stampin up, the hessian strip on the bottom card is by Green Tara, and I added black ribbon to the top card – speaking of which after the photo was taken I fixed the excess amount of glue on the sequins – a big clue as to when I made these ones – on a very hot day when the glue ran very freely! After making these three card and getting a feel for the set I went out on my own and came up with some of my own designs which are waiting to be photoed, so we will see them at a later date! The tip I have for these die cut flowers is to sponge ink in the centre to give them shading ( it makes a huge difference) and to shape the petals before sticking to the card.Today is a village lesson, so I am off now to pack my box of supplies and remind myseld of what we are actually doing! Stampin Up Botanical Blooms
Todays card was inspired by a design I saw on Pinterest.I have just purchased this die and matching stamp set, and already it is a favourite, and the village ladies are going to be making a card with the set this Saturday. I die cut lots of buits from scrap cardstock, and stamped the veins on the leaves with matching inks.I used rhinestones in the centres of these flowers, but i have since used perfect pearls and sequins on more recent makes. The sentiment stamp ( stampin Up) is stamping in white ink.and the backgound base card is black . The photo here doesnt do the card justice – its come out a bit light – in real life it is really bright and vibrant!day off today, shopping done, hair cut done and all classes up to date so I am off to the craft room to work on some cards I need for personal use! Last months village lesson part 2..

As promised, here are the other two cards the ladies made last lesson over at the village. The focus was on die cutting, and the dies we used were Kaisercraft dies. For the top card the daisy die was cut twice – once on green cardstock and once on patterned paper, then we cut the flowers from the patterned paper and stuck them on the green cardstock.A doily die was used for under the flower. I always try and sneak in a male themed card, which is the bottom card.Again kaisercraft dies, and a stampin up boat stamp underneath, die cut in a circle once stamped to sit behind the ship wheel die.A silver brad in the centre of the ship wheel. That’s another month gone, March already and officially the start of autumn – ( here anyway – our northern hemisphere neighbours are welcoming spring) and I am looking forward to cooler weather. It’s been a very long summer this year.Til tomorrow….
