Oxford impressions cow !

I received my new stamp sets in the mail the other day from Oxford Impressions in America. Great excitement! And what fun I have had playing with them. The stamps I used on this card are from the Farm boy stamp set. There is an amazing amount of stamps in this set, and on this card I have used 4 of them.I used stampin up Kraft cardstock, although I believe it has a new name now – I’ll just check – yes crumb cake – I’ll have to get used to that, then stamped a hessian background, stamped the barn onto some blue scrap patterned paper, the cow  and the little chick onto white cardstock . I created some bushes by using some flowersoft. The inkpads were all stampin up – close to cocoa, sahaha sand, certainly celery and black. I had great fun creating this card, I love making cards that you can make up a whole story around, and usually as I am making them I have a narration going on in my head about what is happening in cardland! Thats it – now you all know I’m mad!Til tomorrow….

Peacock

Hi, its been a busy couple of days, but I have finally got some time to sit and create, so the dining table is covered with papers and stamps, and my mind is busy ticking over. I saw a beautiful card on Kays site (link on the right) from her friend Judith, and I am going to pinch a couple of her ideas to make my cards tonight. But for now I want to show you a card that I made intending to give to Kay for her birthday, but ended up giving her a different one. This one will be kept for my other sisters birthday in October.I used stampin up cardstock – melon mambo – Die cut a circle in the front, and attached a window of acetate. I stuck on an outline sticker of a peacock  and coloured it with sakura aqualip pens. I stamped a couple of feathers from stampin ups Natures Nest and silver embossed them, cut them out and attached them to the front .A bit of bling and Done!

more dogs!

Back again with another card made from Basic Greys Max and whiskers collection. This one was made using stampin up taken with teal cardstock (a colour they have just discontinued, but I will be using for a while as I have stocked up because it is one of my favourites) I fussy cut a few images from the patterned paper, and finished it off with kaisercraft letters. I have been busy making cards beyond the usual happy birthday which you will see over the next week as I will be down at the Adelaide Produce Market at Pooraka next Sunday the 25th July selling my cards. If you are in the vicinity come over and say Hi! I always enjoy chatting to fellow card makers.

Doggy chorus

Have had a great day today. I took mum and her friend Dot over to my sister Kays house, where we  put all our cardstock and paper scraps into the middle of the table and spent the afternoon punching assorted shapes and making embellishments for our cards. The afternoon flew by, and we still have lots of scraps left so we are planning to do it again, but on a grander scale with the ladies in the card making group at the local retirement estate.Anyway, on to todays card, which is made with stampin up black cardstock and Basic Grey papers – Max and Whiskers. There are alot of  little pictures on this paper which is great for cutting out, and I think I will get about 9 cards out of the one sheet of paper. Value!.I used my cuttle bug and alphabet dies for the Happy Birthday, and stuck a pair of wobbly eyes on one of the dogs for a bit of an accent.

Slow day

We all have them! I decided to immortalise mine in a card! stampin up cardstock – certainly celery, cosmo cricket earth love paper. The tortoises are stamps from stampin up natures nest (don’t you love them?).Istamped them on to basic grey cardstock, and stampin up designer paper, then cut the grey ones out, and cut the shell from the patterned paper and stuck them together. All I needed then were a few buttons from my craft supply.I love doing cards like this – I call them my cards to myself, because I do them just for me.I usually do give them away or sell them, but  at the time of making they satisfy all my creative juices!

Something Fishy!

The last couple of days I have had my webmaster guru/photogragher sitting next to me as I learn how to do all this ( I truly am computer illiterate) but he is out tonight and I am flying solo. Lets see if I can do it! This card uses stampin up cardstock – tempting turquiose and stampin up designer paper too – kaliedascope – I have cut an aperture in the front of the card and put some acetate behind it, then stuck fishy outline stickers on more designer paper and stuck them on to the acetate. There is a little zigzag material running along the bottom of the card which is from Websters Pages. No creating done tonight as its shopping night, oh well always tomorrow!
