Basic Grey Serenade number 6 ..the final…

IMG_3598 (Medium)This is the final in my series of basic grey serenade 6″patterned papers and sticker sheet. It’s special because it’s my husbands Valentines day card.I mounted two graduating pieces of patterned paper on to my card base, and fussy cut some more of the patterned paper to form the band across the bottom. I stamped some shells from my stampin Up By the Sea shore stamp set onto patterned paper, and cut them out too. I mounted the round stickers onto punched circles, and added some netting and twine. My favourite is the Tim Holtz idea-ology corked vial, which I opened before I attached it to the card, and added a handwritten note.I distressed all edges of the papers. The second photo in this post is the state of my craft room table! I left a project unfinished a few days ago, and due to   work commitments haven’t been back in there – I nearly fainted when I went in there this afternoon! I should be ashamed of myself! I have 3 days off now, so first  on the agenda is to complete that project! Til tomorrow….

kaisercraft Secret Admirer number 8

IMG_1182 (Medium)Here is number 8 in my kaisercraft secret Admirer series. I used the 6″ pad and matching collectables for this one, and I also used the secret Admirer doily stamps in the top right and bottom left corners. I layered various collectables, and added some bright pink ribbon and kaisercraft rhinestones to finish. Today Nathan and I have been filming a you tube clip on how I make my card in a box box, which hopefully I will post tomorrow . He has to try and edit out a bit of background noise – normally we have the house to ourselves when we do our clips, but not the case today, and it was a bit noisy – even though they were all told “quiet on the set”!We will see how it turns out – you may have to ignore assorted barking dogs etc.. Til tomorrow….

October afternoon Farm Girl number 8 and 9

IMG_1174 (Medium)For these two cards I have done a fair bit of layering, and added ric rac, buttons, and bakers twine. The heart images are some I found in my craft stash, I have had them for years, and they came on a kraft sheet with quite a lot of home spun  images. the patterned paper is October afternoon farm Girl. Super quick post tonight as the family are waiting for me to play a board game1 Til tomorrow….

kaisercraft secret admirer number 5

IMG_7222 (Medium)This is the last in my kaisercraft secret admirer series, I have put it all away until I can use it with the 6″ pad, which is still elusive! The background paper is a 12 x 12 sheet, and I used some of the collectables to make the bunting and the sentiment. other goodies used here are – flowers, ribbon, perfect pearls and a doily.Very hot day here today, so I am off to make salads for tea! Til tomorrow….

Love….

I chose this card to show tonight, because I think it shows a nice layout ( sketch) idea that you could adapt for any card. I have started with a base card of stampin Up early espresso cardstock, and the papers I have used are kaisercraft The Lake House ( this is card number 12 for those of you counting!)The first layer was cut only a little smaller than the base card, and I used a circle punch to chomp out the corners. The next layer was quite a bit smaller, and again I chomped the corners.I used a pre printed panel from one of the 12 x 12 sheets in the collection, and stuck a collectable across it, but you could achieve the same look by using your dies and cuttlebug. All that remained was to die cut some flowers ( I used Stampin Up blossom Party and sizzix tim holtz tattered flower garland)  add a grey satin bow, and a bit of perfect pearls.I am still thawing out from my day at the market, and as it was a very early start ,it will be early to bed for me tonight! Til tomorrow….

The Lake House number 7

here is the last of my Kaisercraft The Lake House collection. I used the  6″ pad, a pice of the 12 x 12 paper ( this is a great sheet, full of labels) and a couple of the collectables from the matching collection. The cardstock is stampin Up early Espresso, and I die cut the flowers using my cuttlebug and Stampin Up blossom party die and tim Holtz sizzix tattered florals garland die. I only had to add a ribbon bow and liquid pearls and it was finished! Tonight I am making a start on Fathers day cards – I have some ideas so should have a good crafty session tonight! Til tomorrow…

Vintage Anniversary

This is a weddding anniversary card that I made for my market box. I used my new Cheery Lyn Polynesian Sails Oval die, which I like, but found I had to use my metal plate with it to get the delicate cuts, although that could be my cuttlebug, as it is the first major item I bought when I started cardmaking, and I use it on almost every card I make and I think the rollers are a bit loose. The papers I used here are from Melissa Francis C’est La Vie range and I just added a little ribbon and lace. I bent over yesterday, and my back decided that it liked that position and I couldn’t straighten up so I have been in a fair bit of pain, and no cardmaking has been happening. I have given myself a stern talking to, and it is a little better so I might be able to sit in the card room tonight.. Til tomorrow….

Anniversary card

Yesterday was my husband and I’s 31st wedding anniversary and this is the card i made for him. I used kaisercraft Fine and sunny paper, and fussy cut the images from the paper. the sun was on the matching sticker sheet, and although it was for my husband I still couldn’t resist adding a little glitter to the apples! We received 2 beautiful handcrafted cards from mu mum and my sister, so when nathan and I do some photo -ing this weekend I will do them too, and pop them up here to share.shopping tonight so probably won’t get into the craft room, but I have all day tomorrow…. Til tomorrow….

A New Bo Bunny Enchanted..

I have certainly got my moneys worth out of this Bo Bunny Enchanted 6″ pad! This latest card also uses Sizzix Tim Holtz Tattered Floral dies, Nellies nesting dies ( Heart) by X – Cut, Prima Leaves, Magnolia Chanderlier Garland and the gretting is Stampin Up Perfectly Penned and Silver embossed.A Non Crafty day today, but I am heading into the craft room now to make some Baby girl cards with a cute new teddy Bear I picked up.On my travels today I did pop into Paper Flourish to see the new Prima papers – Really yummy and of course didn’t resist the temptation to buy so will be playing with them tomorrow. Til tomorrow…
