Chest of Drawers Baby cards

Since i taught this card in a lesson last month I have had a lot of positive feedback on it, with many comments from mu ladies saying they have made quite a few more for other people. I think I posted previously the one we made, but since then I have experimented a little and turned them into baby cards, which is what is shown here. The cardstock is Stampin Up pretty in Pink, Bashful blue and whisper white, and I have used buttons and candiworks candi for the drawer handles. I think what people like is the shape at the bottom, which I achieved by using a labels 17 ( although in my class it was a labels 16, but any spellbinders label die with the shaped top will give you the same look) . You fold your cardstock in half and pop the die just on the bottom of the two thicknesses of card, and there you have a nice shaped piece of furniture!.No crafting for me tonight as I have another class to teach – two in one day – it’s great! Til tomorrow….

chest of drawers card

I designed this card for my paper flourish lesson this month, and it is deceptively simple, all the ladies managed it with ease. This is the one I tried out at home first to make sure the whole idea would work, so I used what I had on hand in my craft room, for my lesson we had different items poking out of the drawers, and instead of the brads I used for the drawer handles we used Craftworks candi. The cardstock used here was Stampin Up pink piroutte and whisper white, and scraps of lace, ribbon and bling used to hang out of the drawers. The interesting bit is how to get the legs – I used a spellbinders labels 17, and positioned it on the folded cardstock so that just the top bit is on the card. When run through the cuttlebug it cuts through both thicknesses of card, and just cuts the top part of the shape which looks like legs on the drawers. I imagine lots of uses for this card – it would be great as a new baby card, and you could do it in blue for a boy.Instead of a top drawer you could stamp cup images etc and put a piece of acrylic over the top to resemble a glass door- a great kitchen tea card… any more ideas? For today, I am still doing a rather large order – almost finished, then onto creating some new ideas for my september and october classes, which of course will be all about christmas. Til tomorrow….

Baby Girl cards

I made these Baby Girl cards a little while ago, but forgot to post them – The one on the left is a box style card, and both cards use a scrap of Bo Bunny paper I had left over from a collection I once bought. The Bear is a Hot off the press stamp which I stamped a couple of times onto pink patterned paper and then cut out and paper pieced  to achieve a 3d effect. I mounted it on a Spellbinders picot edge cirlce die in white. The rest of the card was easy – just some flowers, ribbons and buttons to complete the look! Til tomorrow….

Stampin Up Baby Prints

I have had this stamp set ( stampin Up baby prints) for a while, but really haven’t had time to properly play with it – this is my first card with it – I have used stampin Up bashful blue ink, and I also tried out another new toy – my sizzix tim holtz alterations embossing diffuser set #1. This is a great ideas, that lets you use your embossing folder ( in this case Cuttlebug swiss dots) and still keep part of the card un – embossed, which is where I stamped the feet. I just added a ribbon and dummy to finish. This week I have been working on some xmas card designs for my village ladies big xmas cards for the troops marathon which happens next Friday… til tomorrow…..

A found Baby card..

While browsing through my files deciding what to post today, I found this lone baby card, so to close the file off I have posted it … It is Graphic 45 Little darlings paper ( too sweet) and I have used Bazil and stampin Up cardstock with a little ribbon bow and some lace and liquid pearls. I swiped all the edges with some Tim Holtz Tumbled glass ink.I am planning to have a long session in the craft room tonight, but haven’t yet decided what I am going to do .. I will surprise myself! Til tomorrow…

Little darlings 4

Welcome to my new subscriber! Today is the final in my Graphic 45 little darlings series for now. I have added lace and ribbon, and stamped the greeting with Stampin Up Petite pairs, and four frames stamps before punching out with the matching decorative punch. Ink used was stampin up Baja Breeze. Today is my last day of holidays, and I have spent a little bit of it working towards my goal of using up at least one of my paper collections. It is a bigger job than I thought… I have made 18 more cards with my Kaisercraft English Rose  bits and pieces, and still there are more cards to made with it.. I am thinking I might take the rest with me on Friday to the Mothers day card marathon and let the ladies finish it for me! Now I must go and dig out my uniform and find my lunchbox, why do holidays go so quickly? Til tomorrow….

Little Darlings 3

This card made itself – Graphic 45 Little darlings paper, and a little bit of ribbon, nothing easier! No card making today – I have been visiting Mum and dad at the retirement village, and now it’s tea time. I may go into the craft room later, but it will be to gather bits and pieces together for our big marathon on Friday to make mothers day cards for the troops.Til tomorrow….

another use for stocking punch

O.k. My web master is not here, and my blog is doing strange things – hopefully you will all be able to see the photo and read my bit – I packed up all my xmas card making bits and pieces, and as I had my Stampin up stocking punch in my hand I remembered a card I had seen elsewhere which used said punch as baby bootees, so here is my take on it…I have used Kaisercraft Lullaby papers and a Martha Stewart punch, and some ribbon as well.Another hot day here in Adelaide – No crafting tonight , but I must pack my car ready for the market tomorrow, Til tomorrow….

Baby card with cuttlebug

I have arrived home after a lovely few days on holidays down the coast of south australia, at a little fishing town called Robe. It is Lobster season so one night we had a lovely lobster meal, and I spent a lot of time walking the beach and relaxing…. lovely! Today’s card was made using my cuttlebug machine to make the embellishments. I used my swiss dots folder, a pram die ( brand unknown.. sorry) a cuttlebug Baby die , some Bazzil cardstock scraps ,gingham and plain blue ribbon, and buttons. the cardstock is Stampin Up Bashful Blue and Whisper white. It’s my Birthday today, so I am now going to see what surprise my family have planned for my dinner.. (if any!) til tomorrow…..

Group of 5 baby boy cards

As I mentioned last night this is the last of Kaisercraft Lullaby 6″ pad that I will be showing. I have used 2 of these pads over the last few months and it is the best for baby cards! In this group I added a few bits and pieces die cut with my cuttlebug and a cuttlebug baby die, and some ribbon and buttons. I am now off to work on a class coming up with some new ideas for xmas .
