When I was looking for something else altogether in the craft room, I came across some paper I hadn’t created with, so I stopped what I was doing and came up with 3 very quick cards that would be suitable for the men in our lives or even ladies that love nature! The paper collection is Kaisercraft limelight and I have used the matching collectables, papers from the 6″ pad and there my even be some bits of 12 x 12 paper here too.the top card was perfect to use one of my little clock charms on. Who knows what else is hiding in that craft room? Tomorrow I am back to work, so this afternoon is all about finishing up some projects on my craft table, and thinking about some ideas for upcoming classes. Til tomorrow….
Here is the last in the series of Prima tales of you and me, purely vintage, with a kaisercraft dress form die used, and a chipboard butterfly from the prima paper collection, as well as an assortment of flowers, and some gold twine. the sentiment is a spellbinders die. I have been missing for a few days, I had a stall at the local craft fair, and i really enjoyed myself. I had some wonderful helpers, and caught up with lots of crafty friends, sold lots of cards, and today is all about restoring order in the craft room ready to start all over again for next year! I have missed blogging and will be glad to return to normal. oh, today nathan and I also plan to make a you tube video for the card in a box cards – many people have asked how I make them, so hopefully there will be a clip up by the end of the week! til tomorow….
Prima tales of you and me paper collection, and this one I have made as a 21st card just by wrapping gold twine around the number 21 on the bingo card and addind a metal key charm.I inked all my edges with tea dye distress ink,and added some Prima and green Tara flowers, and ribbon. I used two spellbinders dies for the greeting and the ornate fence. A busy day today , as I set up my stall for the 3 day fair, lucky i have a helper …thank you nathan! Til tomorrow….
Today I have indulged my favourite style – Vintage! The paper collection is Prima Tales of you and me, and I have used the same image on both cards. On the left card I fussy cut the image, and did some clean layering, inking the edges with tea dye distress ink as I went.I added a matching chipboard butterfly,a die cut leaf, Prima flowers and ribbon. For the right hand side I went for a more shabby feel – I love this style too, but have real trouble ripping and tearing my precious papers, but still I keep trying! I used the image as it was,die cut a flourish, and added some gold twine, a Prima flower and fussy cut butterflies, ribbon and lace. Today is a glorious winter day – the sun is shining, and this afternoon I am off to the retirement village to show the ladies how to make a bendy card! Til tomorrow….
Todays card is a gatefold card, inspired by the image of the door from the collectables pack from the same collection ( kaisercraft cottage rose). I used the mini foilage die from kaisercraft for the leaves, and the flowers are prima, and kaisercraft.the bottom photo is the inside of the card, and I inked all edges with tea dye distress ink. Last night I set up a facebook page under the name Helens card designs, mainly because more and more cards were finding their way onto my normal facebook page. I will still be blogging every day ( or most days) as this is the space that will have much more detailed information, and my musings, and meanderings! The facebook page will have the photos that you see here, and there may be posts that are more immediate such as whats on my craft desk today. Feel free to pop over and have a look! Til tomorrow…..
I am enjoying this collection of paper because I have been able to make quite a range of cards with it, wedding, anniversary, engagement, sympathy and now birthday.Todays card uses the 6″ pad only, and a few embellishments – green tara and kaisercraft flower, leaves die cut from the kaisercraft mini foilage die ( love this die – its a plate, and die cuts quite a few different leaves all in one go – great for die cutting scraps and keeping them on my desk for times when I need them)some stampin up gold twine, liquid pearls and a butterfly punched from my tim Holtz butterfly punch. The sentiments were also in the paper pad! Today is a good day…I have done the cooking I wanted to do in preparation for next week, the sun is shining after a very wet week – not that we ever complain when we get rain, my washing is drying on the line, and I am ready to spend some quality time in the craft room! life is good!! til tomorrow….
While I had my graphic 45 raioning Cats and dogs paper out to make the bendy card ( previous Post) I made one last card with it before putting all the leftovers into a bag for the craft fair sale. I had a couple of this image, so I used one for the base, and then cut into the second image to make some 3d layers. I added ribbon, lace and bling to finish. A day off today, shopping done, and now i am heading into the craft room to relax a bit! til tomorrow….
I finished my orders yesterday, and here are two of them, the top card is being posted, so had to stay quite flat. I used Stampin Up botanical blooms dies and stampin up cardstock for this one, and die cut some glitter flourishes, punched a glitter butterfly, and added liquid pearls and sequins. the bottom card was much more textured with lots of flowers, more glitter flourishes, and key and ribbon bow. I am caught up with my orders now, but no crafting today, I am taking Mum out to spend her Mothers day money at Paper Flourish and we will visit spotlight too – we are on the hunt for very very fine paint brushes for dad, I found them on-line but they are very expensive and he goes through so many so we will have a look around locally.Til tomorrow….
It’s Mothers day here in Australia, so this is a special card wishing all my friends and followers a happy mothers day from me!The gorgeous papers are from prima, Tales of you and me range, and I added some ribbon and lace around the smaller panel. i also inked all my edges with tea dye distress ink. no card making for me today, my boys are taking me out for lunch, and i am so looking forward to it! Til tomorrow….
Another Mothers day card, this time using kaisercrafts new release paper Cottage Rose. This is my kind of paper, and for this gatefold card I have used the 6″ pad. The panel on the front is from a piece of the 12 x 12 paper, and I have used Prima flowers to decorate. I have included 2 photos so that you can see ( sort of) how I decorated the inside panel as well. All the little leaves and twiggy branches were die cut with a great new die from kaisercraft – I love it, and all my scrap green papers are now die cut with it and stored in a container on my desk so that I always have foilage at my fingertips! Today is Village lesson day, so I must head to the craft room to get all my gear together, and remind myself what we are making- tomorrow I will post pictures of the cards the ladies created.Til tomorrow….
