Cuttlebug and dies

I still have a couple of my prima meadow lark series to show but we will get back to them. Today ( and tomorrow) I wanted to show the final few cards I made with the last of my American crafts Neapolitan paper collection. For those that have been following you will remember that I used it in my scarp series. I had just a little left over and so decided to finish the bits and pieces left. Altogether I made 19 cards out of my 4 sheets of paper which I was quite surprised about. So, todays card made using a variety of dies and my cuttlebug  and American crafts Neapolitan paper, and a list of dies – Moonlight butterfly, kaliedoscope  butterfly, amani circle, meadow leaf ( all by memory box) spellbinders scalloped circles, and Stampin Up Party Blossom . The sentiment was all Stampin Up products – Decorative label punch,Four frames stamp set and petite pairs stamp set. Speaking of which my siser Kay brought me some new products this morning and I have had a great afternoon inking ,stamping , colouring and die cutting – the best way to spend an afternoon! Til tomorrow….

Prima meadow Lark number 5

Here is a quick and easy one for Mothers Day using Prima Meadow Lark papers. I fussy cut an image of the bird out of a piece of the paper, and used a Martha Stewart punch on another pice of floral paper from the same collection, and backed it with lace. I just added a ribbon bow, and a flower and a little kindyglitz – done! Public holiday tomorrow, so i am looking forward to a little crafting time! Til tomorrow…..

Prima Meadow Lark number 4

Prima meadow lark paper collection, and I used a spellbinders die ( labels 14) to cut out the bird image, which I then inked around the edges. There are two different layers of paper here, one of which has a Martha Stewart punched border. I punched little circles at the edge of the bird image and threaded some matching ribbon through. The sentiment is stamped onto a matching chipboard piece.Today while in the craft room looking for something ( I tend to spend a fair bit of time looking for things!) I found a gorgeous Rose stamp that I hadn’t inked yet. Whatever I was going to do was forgotten and I have spent the afternoon stamping roses and practising my colouring skills. All in all a great afternoon!Spent a lovely morning at Paper flourish teaching my Monday class, so a lovely crafty day today. Til tomorrow….

Prima Meadow lark 3

After a detour yesterday we are back to my Prima Meadow lark series, and here I have used both the paper and one of the matching chipboard pieces, onto which I stamped my sentiment which is from a stampin up set called perfectly penned. The buttterfly is die cut on my cuttlebug using two of my recent purchases – Moonlight butterfly and kaliedescope butterfly from Memeory Box, and I also Die cut a couple of the flowers shown and added some ribbon and lace. The colours on this paper are gorgeous, and if I get some time this weekend ( I still have one day to go in my weekend) I think I will do some with this paper!Til tomorrow…

prima meadow lark 2

I had a lovely morning with my ladies over at paper flourish – I am not sure i should get paid to have so much fun! Todays card is continuing my Prima meadow lark series, and I have also used the matching chipboards. I used my Martha Stewart lace doily punch, and some lovely ribbon and liquid pearls to finish. The cardstock is stampin up Wisteria wonder. Now I  have some ideas for mothers day cards with this paper so its off to the craft room while I have them fresh in my mind! Til tomorow…..

Prima meadow Lark

A complete change of colour scheme today, with my new papers from Prima – Meadow lark. I do like lavenders, lilacs and mauves and I don’t think these colours are used enough! Here I have covered a card blank with some of the paper, and added matching flowers and a  chipboard piece which I stamped with Stampin Up Perfectly Penned sentiment, ribbon and Magnolia chandelier garland.I think the next day or two will be spent doing one last big push to complete some Mothers day cards. I might even dig out some older papers to see if I can finish a couple more collections we will see…Til tomorrow….

Stampin Up A kind word…

Although we have finished our sketch series, I still had a fair amount of American Crafts neapolitan paper left, and so created this card, with a stamp I have had for a long time, but rarely inked. I wanted to practise my colouring with tim holtz distress inks, and I am pleased with this first attempt, but don’t look too closely! The stamp is from Stampin Up – A kind word set, and I teamed it with stampin Up cardstock – tangerine Tango and a bit of ribbon and Kaisercraft Rhinestones to complete. I hope to spend a little time in the craft room ( or studio as Nathan calls it and I must admit I like the sound of that description!) tonight as my back appears to have mended itself… Til tomorrow….

sketch series for scraps number 9.. the final..

Hello! If you have been following my sketch series you would by now realise I don’t have very much of my original 2 sheets of 12 x 12 paper left! In fact only enough to cut these 3 squares and punch some flowers out of the scraps! So here it is a clean and simple card. The cardstock mat is stampin Up Pool Party, the paper is of course Stampin Up Everyday enchantment, and the punches are Martha Stewarts hydrangea punches. I made use of that old mis printed book and die cut a few petals from Stampin Up blossom party die. My American Crafts neapolitan card follows the sketch exactly, and I used a Stampin Up cardstock – blushing Bride for the matting on this one.Tomorrow we move on to something different – Til tomorrow….

Sketch series for using scraps number 8

We are nearly at the end of this sketch series – one more to go after this . Toadys card uses my spellbinders nested lacey pennants, some stampin Up ribbon and sentiment, and of course the paper is Everyday enchantment by Stampin Up. The second card which closely mirrors the first uses American crafts Neapolitan paper, stampin Up daffodil delight trim, ribbon and flowers instead of the lace bow and the cardstock is Stampin Up calypso coral. My back is still sore, so nothing but a seat in front of the t.v. with a hot water bottle for me tonight!Til tomorrow….

Sketch series for using scraps number 7

here we are at number 7 in our series for using up scraps – only a couple more to go – I hope you are not too bored by now! For my trial card I stuck strips of varying widths onto a piece of scrap paper – printer paper I think it was – and hand cut a shape from it, cut a couple of labels from Spellbinders labels 14, and added seam binding and a hat pin threaded with an extra matching bead. The paper is Stampin Up Everyday Enchantment. For the bottom card I decided to cut the shape using a spellbinder die – the largest in Labels 17, but otherwise stuck faithfully to the sketch. the papers here are American crafts neapolitan. Speaking of which I decided last night to use up the remaining bits from my original 4 sheets and 8 cards later I have to say a fond farewell to Neapolitan! so finished another collection! 19 cards altogether from those four sheets of paper – I think I broke my record! My perfume of choice today is Deep Heat – very sore back that seems to come and go – so can’t sit for very long – no crafting today… Til tomorrow…..
