Kaisercraft Hanami garden

IMG_0006 (Medium)And now for something completely different!I love the rich colours of this paper collection, and it is completely different from what i usually work with. I started off simple with this card, I made a paper fan – something I wanted to do as soon as I saw the paper, and as luck would have it , on my desk was a red tassel, something my sister had given me attached to a present! The rest of the card was just paper and sentiment from the 6 ” pad, and a flower collectable. I used Black cardstock for the base card. It’s cooking and cleaning afternoon here so i had best get on! Til tomorrow….

A die cut card..

IMG_7099 (Medium)I have playing around with my dies and mixing them up a bit – normally I like to keep the different companies separated…but I am going to bite the bullet and experiment! The simplest way for me to start now that I can finally use my die cutting machine is with different dies, so on this card  have mixed Paper Rose flower and flourish dies with a memory keepers die and a kaisercraft ( butterfly) die. Pearls for a bit of bling and a stampin up sentiment. This one is going to be adapted to a class in the near future. Roast is in the oven, leek and potato soup on the oven, and now it’s craft time! til tomorrow….

Finally! The final Ooh La La card! ( 17!)

IMG_2746 (Medium)Here is my last ( I promise…maybe) Kaisercraft Ooh La La card. 17 cards with this paper! This one is the easiest one yet.A piece of 12 x 12 cut apart paper with a bow made from some of the 6″ pad paper. The bow was done with my Stampin Up bow punch. Most of the cards in this series were made when I had injured my shoulder and couldn’t use my die cutting machine,so I really relied on the papers, it was an interesting exercise. Tomorrow i start my new job at Paper Flourish. So looking forward to it, I can’t wait, surrounded by temptation all day!But for today, it’s grocery shopping and quite a hot day so a quiet day inside. Til tomorrow…..

Kaisercraft Ooh La La 15 and 16..

IMG_2744 (Medium)IMG_2747 (Medium)Two cards today, made with kaisercraft Ooh La La, and some white space.I don’t often leave white space on my cards, but I like these and will experiment with more white space cards in the future. There is a mixture of fussy cut images, and collectables on both cards, with a little ribbon, a lace flower and just a couple of flowers.I spent a lovely afternoon in the craft room yesterday, I did miss crafting while I was away. This afternoon I am popping in there to make Mum and Dad a 61st wedding anniversary card and I have been doing a little tidying as I go too.Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Cherry Tree Lane number 8

img_2733-medium-2Todays Kaisercraft Cherry Tree Lane card is a side stepper card. I have done a You-tube clip on how to measure and cut/fold this style of card, on the right hand side bar of the blog you will see You-tube…click on that and you will see my you-tube channel with this and many other little clips I have done.Meanwhile for this one I have used… one of the pull apart cards  from the 12 x 12 sheet,a couple of the matching collectable, prima and green tara flowers, kaisercraft leaf die,a small piece of a border from the sticker sheet, and a small piece of the dotty paper ( 12 x 12). I also did some fussy cutting for the stepper part of the card. The big news here is that I have left my job at kmart Aust.Yesterday was my last day after 36 years, and my workmates gave me a lovely send off. When I return from the cruise I will be working at Paper Flourish, the store where I have been teaching for 6 1/2 years. I will be surounded with crafty goodness! How will I contain myself? I am so looking forward to this new chapter! Til tomorrow…

Cherry tree lane number 2..

img_2725-mediumTodays Kaisercraft cherry tree lane card uses the 6″ pad. The flowers are fussy cut from one of the papers in the pad,and a piece is used as the background layer. The piece the sentiment is on is from the 12 x 12 sheet of pull aparts that accompany this range, and that sheet is great with lots of different images to pull apart and use.I added some lace, ribbon and a couple of pearls to finish. I taught my class this morning, and we used this range of papers. It was lovely catching up with my ladies, now next on my agenda is packing for the cruise I am teaching on. We leave two weeks today, so not long now! Til tomorrow….

Prima Rossibelle number 2…

img_0712-mediumPrima Rossibelle paper collection, along with matching flowers and chipbboard. For this one I fussy cut the paper and stuck it on some plain cardstock ( stampin up Sweet Sugarplum). I then added ribbon, a flower, and die cut Paper Rose Leafy Flourish ( in copper cardstock)A couple of pieces of chipboard and a sentiment finished this one. Today I am off to the retirement village for a class, and we will make some cards and enjoy afternoon tea( the ladies always put on a lovely handmade spread!)Til tomorrow….

Prima Rossibelle number 1..

img_0711-mediumA new series today, this one is Prima Rossibelle papers, and I bought the matching chipboard and flowers as well. For this first card I cut the paper so that the birdcage was positioned on the left hand side of the card, fussy cut some paper with the lacy border, tucked lace behind , and added a prima flower, ribbon, little punched flowers and a punched tim holtz butterfly. I went searching through my bits and pieces to find anything copper related because I thought copper would be a good fit with this paper and found some copper sequins, pearls, glitter paper and even copper sticker sentiments so they all found their way onto the card! The die I used for the leafy flourish is called just that and is by Paper Rose.Til tomorrow….

KaisercraftPeek -a -boo 7,8..

img_0707-mediumimg_0709-mediumHere are the last two kaisercraft peek-a boo cards for now, the top card has lace, ribbon and a couple of punched hearts, rounded corners and paper from the 6″ pad, while the bottom card is still using the baby girl collection and matching collectables but i have managed to make a lovely floral birthday card with it. I have been busy putting the final touches to all the cruise kits, with the help of my wonderful sister Kay – so lucky she was able to do most of the work while I was out of action with my shoulder ( which is now well on the road to recovery but i still have to be careful) So glad she is coming along with me on the cruise, she deserves it after all the work she has done! Today is all about preparing march lessons if I get a chance to venture into the craft room. Life is hectic here just now! til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft PS I Love You..

img_0696-mediumA new group today! Kaisercraft PS I Love You.I have only made a few cards with this paper so far ( to be honest I may have misplaced it, but things tend to turn up so I am sure we will see it again eventually)and for the few I made I really only used the papers as backgrounds. These were done while I couldn’t do much crafting because of my shoulder but I have become quite adept at die cutting with my left hand now so there are bits of die cutting on these cards. The dies I used here are Paper Rose brand dies leafy flourish and ornate circle. I made the flower spray, another thing I did while I couldn’t card make – I have quite a few sprays now! I punched the lace doily border added some ribbon and die cut ( kaisercraft)the numbers from glitter cardstock. Til tomorrow….
