Stamping fun

IMG_8881 (Medium)I recently purchased a new stamp set from Stampin Up – Six Sided sampler, along with a hexagon punch, and after i made the card on the previous post I took things a step further, and discarded all my patterned paper to make this card. I used 3 different colours – Smokey slate, bubblegum green and midnight muse ( cardstock and ink pads from Stampin up)and stamped a few hexagons onto cream cardstock  which I then punched out. I had a hexagon template so I inked through that and I punched a hexagon out of my top layer so that the greeting would show through. I tied a little bit of string through the hexagon to draw attention to the sentiment.I have an idea in my head now to do one like this in yellow/orange with some butterflies…….Til tomorrow….

motorbike card

IMG_5345 (Medium)Still on the male card theme, tonight I have used a stamp that I bought from Stampin Up along with some Stampin Up designer paper. The style is the same for both cards, I just mixed it up with the papers ans did a lot of matting! Stamps like these are very handy for those hard to do mens cards!Tonight I have moved my crafting to the dining room table – more room! and I have taken the heater with me so I am all set for a marathon crafting session. Til tomorrow….

Mens card today!

IMG_5339 (Medium)A few technical difficulties, but I got here in the end! Todays card is a male card, with a bit of stamping, and embossing. The stamp set is from Stampin Up, Countryside, and the embossing folder is a sizzix tim holt – bricked wall. The sentiment is also from Stampin Up, and I added a button and some linen thread for a little added texture. The stamped images were stamped with stampin up soft suede ink. A short weekend for me this weekend, a couple of classes , a back to work a day early, but the bonus is a nice long weekend next weekend! Til tomorrow…..

Stampin Up Sycamore street

IMG_0409 (Medium)Something a bit different from last nights card – a nice bright one with lots of colour! Everything here is Stampin Up. The cardstock is Marina Mist and Pool Party. Embossing folder is Hexagon, and I embossed a few differents bits of designer paper ( from the Sycamore Street range) and fussy cut out the hexagons to stick over the embossed panel. I added a few matching buttons tied with linen thread, and stamped an itty bitty banner for the greeting.this one is a great way to use up all those little bits of scraps at the end of a crafting session! Til tomorrow….

graphic 45 french country number 4

IMG_8908 (Medium)This is the last in my Graphic 45 French Country series for now – i have a couple more but they are waiting to be photographed so tomorrow we will return to the true romance series to finish that one off. I did a bit of matting and layering on this card, and distressed all the edges and inked with Tea Dye distress inks. The little bike image was laying on my desk so it ended up on the card as well – I think it came from a piece of Kaisercraft sears and sons paper. The Eiffel Tower was stamped, and heat embossed – the stamp is from Stampin Up artistic etchings stamp set. I tied some string with a charm attached around one of the layers. Til tomorrow….

Two cards tonight!

IMG_2868 (Medium)IMG_2869 (Medium)Due to all the posts i have missed because of the loss of our internet over the last few weeks, I have a back log of cards to show, so for the  next week or so I will post a couple each night to try and catch up, so tonight we have two cards i made using Kaisercraft Sears and son paper and matching collectables. Both these cards have the same theme -of using the collectables to make a rosette, and I think it works quite well. I inked around all my edges with tea dye distress ink. I have made a few more christmas cards today, but I have to stop making for now and put in all the inserts – a bit boring, and a job that I seem to leave until I can’t ignore the pile any longer! Til tomorrow…

Kaisercraft Sears and son male cards

IMG_2866 (Medium)We will keep going with the ideas for male cards, this time using Kaisercraft Sears and son paper collection. This was one they released last year, but I haven’t found anything since that comes close to making good cards for men. This one uses a piece  of the 12 x 12 paper, scraps of other matching papers, and one of the collectables out of the matching pack. I went to town on the distressing, and then inked around everything with Tea dye ink. It’s been a great day in the craft room today, I did a couple of cards for orders, just a couple more to do, and I did a couple of cards for various challenges, as well as digging out my  graphic 45 french country papers and playing with that – that is still out on my table, so I am heading back there now to continue while the ideas are flowing! Til tomomorrow….

Countryside stamp set

IMG_5339 (Medium)Here is a male birthday card I made using a stamp from Stampin Up – Countryside stamp set. i also made one very similar for fathers Day using this same stamp. The cardstock is Stampin Up Early espresso and a light green which has since been retired. I embossed the light green layer with Sizzix brick wall embossing folder, and added a button for some texture. The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Banners by stampin up. Today was the retirement village ladies Christmas card marathon for the troops, so I popped over there after work for a couple of hours – just in time for a lovely lunch, and was amazed at the display covering quite a few tables of the 300 cards they had made! Well done ladies – what an effort! Til tomorrow…..

Madison Avenue and hearts a flutter

IMG_2861 (Medium)Tonights card uses much the same supplies as last nights post – Stampin up cardstock – tangerine tango and island indigo, chevron  embossing folser, ribbon and button, but I added some banners in the corner die cut with stampin up hearts a flutter dies. Tomorrow is a special post for me – my 1000th post! i will have to find something special for that one. Today has been spent finishing off a few projects, and making a few xmas cards. Tomorrow will be a focus on Fathers day cards. Til tomorrow….

Bold and Bright!

IMG_2859 (Medium)Today we leave behind the stamping, but stick with the bold andd bright colours! The scrap of paper I used for the flower stem is from Stampin Up Madison Avenue, and I used stampin up cardstock and matching ribbon – Tangerine tango and island indigo. The die used is sizzix  tim holtz rosette, and the embossing folder is stampin up chevron folder.I stamped my greeting with a stamp from the itty bitty banner set from stampin up in tangerine tango ink. This afternoon I have been busy making a new home card for an order, and I have some things laid out on the craft table ready to go for an ideas I have, but this weekend has to be about Fathers day cards ( just a few more to do) and xmas cards.
