Kaisercraft Party Animal

IMG_2958 (Medium)I revisited Kaisercraft party Animal patterned paper collection to make a few animal themed cards – this first one is a favourite – any excuse to use googly eyes!  I did a lot of fussy cutting on this one – all the animals, balloons and the bunting across the top. the cardstock is Stampin Up Certainly Celery and the sentiment stamp is also stampin up. Teen boys card

IMG_2955 (Medium)Here is a teen boys card I made using  a scrap of paper from Kaisercraft Attitude 6″ paper pad, a tim holtz sizzix embossing folder – Bricked, and a mix of stamps from Bitty grunge set by stampers anonymous.I distressed and inked all  the edges and added a sentiment to the top with brads. It tickled my fancy that the shape of the paper piece I used for the greeting looks a little like those old fashioned street signs! I’m off into the craft room and looking forward to unwinding in there! Til tomorrow…..

Male card – Parkers patterns

IMG_2954 (Medium)Here is a card I made for my brother-in laws birthday. Everything here is from stampin up – the cardstock is Not quite Navy, and the paper is from the Parkers patterns collection. the sentiment is from the itty Bitty banners stamp set, and the flags in the left hand corner are stamped and die cut using Hearts a flutter dies and stamps.Another set of papers I haven’t had enough time to play with – lucky I have some holidays scheduled in a couple of weeks and will hopefully get to it all then! Double pocket card

IMG_8830 (Medium)This card was the third one at last months village lesson. I have called it a double pocket card . We made a tag for the first pocket, and an envelope to hold gift cards for the second pocket. The pockets were easy to construct – two pieces of paper/cardstock the same size as the front of the card, one folded down a little further than the other, and stuck on three sides with double sided tape, but not across the top  allowing us to tuck in our tag and envelope. Just a button and twine to finish this one!You could make a bookmark instead of a tag or envelope if you wanted – we put our greeting on the tag, but you could put the greeting on the front of the card, and maybe slip in a book voucher if you made the book mark….lots of potential for this design! Great Southern Land

IMG_8832 (Medium)This photo is a little dark – in real life the background isn’t quite so dark, the paper is from Kaisercrafts Great Southern Land collection and I used the matching collectables as well. This was a release in the second half of last year, but it should still ba available. I used it for a class last september, and we all thought it would be good for xmas cards to send overseas.this one though I have made into a birthday card stamping a stampin up sentiment stamp straight onto the paper.I will be found in the craft room tonight as I have a few orders to make including quite a few wedding cards! Til tomorrow….

Attitude!

IMG_8681 (Medium)On my recent cleaning up foray, I stumbled upon a Kaisercraft 6″ pad that I hadn’t used yet – it’s called Attitude, and it’s perfect for teen boy cards, so before I put it away I quickly made this card. I stamped some Bitty Grunge stamps by Stampers Anonymous on the grid paper, and cut a tag and stamped it too, matted everything with black cardstock and added a tim Holtz sprocket gear and game spinner to attach the tag to the card. Maybe this weekend I will have an oppurtunity to make some cards with this pad!  Til tomorrow…

Sears and son 6

IMG_8713 (Medium)I have more in this collection, but we will take a little break after todays post,  and look at some other cards I have been making, and come back to these later. The paper and collectables are Sears and Son by Kaisercraft, and this is my favourite card out of all the cards I made with this 6 ” pad, and the matching collectables. I added some string, inked around all the edges, and found some googly eyes which just  made the perfect gentleman!Another hot day here  today, and a  busy  day at  work so may just sit under the air conditioner and watch some t.v.  before an early night tonight! Til tomorrow…

Sears and Son 5( mens cards)

IMG_8708 (Medium)I made good use of the collectables from the Kaisercraft Sears and Son collection on this card. String around the top for them to hang off, and a couple of Kaisercraft brads to hold the tag. The tag was die cut using a stampin up die, and the sentiment stamp, and cardstock were also stampin up.This is a good sketch for teenage boy cards, and it will be my go -to design for those really difficult cards! Til tomorrow….

Sears and Son 3 and 4

IMG_8707 (Medium)More cards on cards today – Sears and Son paper and collectables by Kaisercraft, and for these two cards I embossed some background cardstock using Tim Holtz Alterations embossing folder – Patchwork, which I lightly inked once it came out of the folder. I have spent a productive day in the craft room today playing with some new Prima paper, although I did make a little diversion when I realised that next weekend, besides being Easter is also mum and dads wedding anniversary and mine is shortly after so made a couple of quick anniversary cards. have also realised that we have at least 4 birthdays ( two of them 21sts,) in the next few weeks so will have to get organised for them as well! mens cards made easy….

IMG_8706 (Medium)While on my cleaning up journey I stumbled upon a great amount of Kaisercraft Sears and Son papers, and packets of collectables, so of course had to sit and make a few mens cards – so easy with this paper. So easy in fact that there are a huge amount of photos of cards made with this paper collection to show , so I will break into groups over the next few weeks!this paper is still available, and perfect to stock up on for those tricky male cards1All I have used are the aforementioned papers and collectables, and a couple of odd brads I had lying around for these two cards. It is a super early post today, as I am teaching this afternoon ( third class this week!) and when I get home I want to head straight into the craft room as I have a few ideas buzzing around that i want to get down on cardstock!
