In keeping with my personal challenge of trying to make a male card from each product collection I purchase, I made this card with my american crafts Amy Tangerine Sketchbook papers. No mean feat when the papers are so bright and girly! I die cut some banners using my spellbinders Lacy pennant die, and the label was die cut using spellbinders Labels fourteen. I stamped the sentiment with stampin Up Perfectly Penned, and layered it all on Stampin Up Crumbcake cardstock. I just cut strips of different paper for the base – another good way to use up scraps! One more day at the craft fair, then quite a few weeks refilling by boxes! Til tomorrow….

Easy male cards
I have found the best paper for making Male cards – it’s Simple Stories – Awesome, so for the next couple of days i will post some of the cards I have created with this great paper! Todays card combines the paper with a docrafts papermania happy Birthday stamp which I stamped a couple of times onto different patterned paper from the same collection and fussy cut various letters out and glued them onto the original stamped image.I fussy cut the banner on the left hand side out of more of the matching paper, made a banner for the bottom right hand side, added some craftworkscards Candi in the corners, and that was it! the base card is Stampin Up Early Espresso.Still can’t move in my craft room, so more tidying up tonight.. More teen boy card ideas
Here is my last card in my teen boy series, this time using the new Bo Bunny Weeekend Market papers – I love the rich colours of this paper and can’t wait to do some more with it -and my papermania happy birthday stamp which I stamped twice onto patterned paper and fussy cut out a few letters – and outlined a couple more with a marker. The stars are cut with my cricut and the wild card cartridge, and the cardstock is Stampin Up Cherry cobbler. I am busy this week making some cards to start filling those market boxes..Til tomorrow….
Another idea for teen boys cards
Here is another idea for cards for teen boys – the paper I used was a free pad on the front of a magazine, but any similar paper will do for this one. The cardstock is Stampin Up cherry cobbler, as is the bakers twine. I used bazzil cardstock to cut out the hand controller and used a few brads for the buttons. A very wet day here – I don’t know – sunny one day and bucketing down the next! A good evening for cardmaking in the craft room I think! Til tomorrow….
Teen boy cards number 2
Today I have two cards to show – both using October Afternoon Sasparilla paper on the base, and stars cut out using my cricut machine – wild card cartridge. On the left card I have used a book plate ( stampin Up) for the sentiment. On the right card I have added a length of wide twill binding ahich I stamped using white staz on ink, and buttons and bakers twine. The base cardstock is Stampin Up real red.You don’t need a cricut machine to replicate these cards – punches, dies or hand cutting the stars would all work! I have made great inroads into my lesson plans today, just a couple more to do, then the rest of the week creating to fill my boxess1 Til tomorrow….
Teen Boy cards
I think out of all the cards I am asked to make teen boy cards are the hardest, so over the next few days I will show some deigns I have been working on which should covers all the bases! Of course if they are into sport it’s not so hard, but nowadays there doesn’t seem so much sports played, sad really…. anyway … I am sure you have seen me use this stamp before – it’s from a great papermania (Nostalgia) set which also has a lot of sports images on it, and I have teamed it with a guitar stamp and drum set stamp that I have had for so long I can’t remember the brand name but Snag em rings a bell. The paper I have used is from a great 6″ pad called Year – o- graphy by Simple Stories, the patterns are great for these designs. I have cut assorted banners, and used bakers twine and brads for texture. The cardstock is Stampin Up Soft Suede and cajun craze – a colour I don’t use nearly enough. One last push tonight on the orders that keep coming through, and then back to lesson planning…. Til tomorrow….
Fine and Sunny
Kaisercrafts other release for this month is this collection called Fine and sunny. I was going to be good and not purchase this one, but couldn’t help myself, and it makes a nice change from all the Mothers day type paper I have been playing with. For this card I used the paper pad, matching collectables and sticker sheet. I just added a little bling and kindyglitz to finish. Hoping to spend an hour in the card room tonight, til tomorrow….
Hunt and gather re-visited
While I had Kaisercraft Hunt abd Gather paper out making the previous post card I quickly whizzed up this camping card. The cardstock is Stampin Up soft suede, and the sentiment is a stampin up one too.I taught a lesson this morning, and I have spent a little time this afternoon in the craft room doing some girly fairy cards ( I am having a little break from Mothers day cards). Back to work tomorrow, so a little less creating will be happening! Til tomorrow….
Male card – gone fishing…
For a bit of a change I thought I would show this humorous card I made using a stamp set I found while on holidays last year in a little craft shop down the coast. The brand name is Sullivans, and I haven’t seen it anywhere else, but it has some great images in the set, including this one of a rather unlucky fisherman! The papers I used were Kaisercraft Hunt and gather, and I stamped the fisherman a few times, and paper pieced him back together to get this effect. This is my favourite way of stamping.Today I have been making more Mothers Day cards with my new papers, but no photos yet as my photographer has been tied up all weekend with photos for their wrestling shows. They had 2 in a row this weekend, so he has been super busy. Now to organise tea, and then maybe another hour in the craft room.. Til tomorrow….
These Days 3 – a 21st…
