Kaisercraft sail away 6

IMG_0681 (Medium)Todays kaisercraft sail away card uses a sheet of paper from the 6″ pad, and I stamped a sea gull stamp ( kaszazz brand) up near the top left hand corner. The sailing ship was already on the paper. The shell in the right hand corner is by prima.I have enjoyed rummaging through all my bits and pieces to find treasures to use on these cards – I didn’t buy the matching collectables for this range – not through choice – they weren’t in the shop when I purchased it! Today I have spent some time in the craft room making all my christmas gift tags, I am just waiting for the delivery of one more gift and shopping is all done, and then the wrapping begins! I am normally not this organised, so there is something to be said for my poor knee! Til tomorrow…..

Kaisercraft Sail Away 4 and 5

IMG_0673 (Medium)IMG_0674 (Medium)Kaisercraft sail Away paper collection, this time using the 6″ pad for both these cards, and I think the same dies as I used on the previous cards. On the top card I added a button and bakers twine and on the bottom card I just added some silver twine. The plain cardstock is from stampin Up. I taught a class today using this  collection and all the ladies seemed to enjoy it, I think it’s because the colours are lovely and clear – quite often mens papers are muddied and distressed looking, and also it’s nice to move on from christmas cards!Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft sail away 2 and 3..

IMG_0669 (Medium)IMG_0670 (Medium)We are on to a new group of cards today, it’s Kaisercraft sail away collection . i love the clear colours of this collection, and at the same time Kaisercraft released some new dies that fit in perfectly with the paper, so I couldn’t resist them! The top card is made using papers from the 6″ pad, and some wide ribbon, buttons and a metal plaque I have had in my bits and pieces box for a long long time! The second card showcases a couple of the dies. I die cut the light house twice out of red and then white cardstock, and fitted all the red fiddly bits back into the white piece – very fiddly to do and next time I may just back the die cut with contrasting cardstock instead! The anchor is another die, and i used some ric-rac , ribbon, and charm as well. i have a class tomorrow so i am off now to pack up my bag….til tomorrow…..

Embedded embossing….

IMG_0683 (Medium)I have stopped the wedding cards just for today, because Nathan has uploaded a new youtube video for me , so I thought I would show this card explaining what my video is all about. I fussy cut a few images out of some patterned paper ( it’s kaisercraft sail away) , stuck them randomly on some plain white cardstock and then ran the card through an embossing folder. When it has been run through the big shot/cuttlebug etc… it looks like the paper is printed onto the card – you can’t see any raised bits..(hope that makes sense). After some experimenting I found that embossing folders that are pretty well covered in design work best.back to wedding cards tomorrow!  til tomorrow….

More fathers day card ideas

IMG_9546 (Medium)IMG_9547 (Medium)Todays two cards are made with a few different items from my craft room – Kaisercraft blue Bay paper collection ( and I fussy cut the frames from the same collection) a stampin up tool set stamp set, kaszazz pocket stamp stamped onto denim paper by October Afternoon, and a couple of silver brads on the pocket corners.the greetings were stamps pulled from my shelf. Early start today, so early finish and now I am off to catch up on a little sleep – nanna nap time! til tomorrow…

recycled floppy discs….

IMG_9548 (Medium)The other day Nathan brought me some old floppy discs and asked if I could recycle them. Why, yes.Yes I can. Inside the plastic cover ( which I prised open with a pair of scissors) was this floppy ( the floppy in the name floppy disc) which looked to me just like a miniature record, and so this card idea was born. The papers I used were Crate paper toy box, and I made the record player needle and arm from some silver and black cardstock. there is a silver brad in the middle of the “record” and I punched a silver circle for a volume button. The letter stickers are from the same paper collection. Hopefully Nathan finds more discs, because I really enjoyed making these cards! Til tomorrow…..

younger boy birthday card…

IMG_5146 (Medium)I showed a card similar to this that I made for my great nephews 1st birthday, and while I had everything out I whipped up another one to put in my box. For this one I substituted the die cut balloon for big bold buttons and lots of bakers twine. The paper is Stampin up cherry on Top, I fussy cut the scallops down the side, and the Elephant is a stamp from stampin Up Zoo babies set. I taught a class this morning, lovely group of ladies, and while there I picked up a new Kaiser die ( well 3 but this one in particular) – it was the poinsetta die, so I can’t wait to start creating with it. Sometimes it just takes something new to get you into the Christmas spirit!! til tomorrow….

Golfing Tom.

IMG_5145 (Medium)A male card today, The stamp is called Golfing Tom and it is from C.C.Designs. I stamped onto copic blending card and coloured with my copic markers, then mounted on two shades of card from Stampin up. this one was a nice quick card, and the stamp is big enough to stamp onto patterned paper and fussy cut if you don’t want to colour..something I will try next time I have it out on the craft table! For now though, it’s off to work I go..til tomorrow…

last 2 irresistably yours cards

IMG_2456 (Medium)IMG_2458 (Medium)These two cards were made with the same sheet of Stampin Up irresistably yours cardstock, but look so different. for the top card I sprayed the cardstock with dylusions sprays ( A tip – wait for one colour to dry before spraying the other colour – I learnt that one the hard way and ended up with a mud coloured mess!). then it was just a matter of some die cutting to finish. the bottom card is my first Christmas card for the year! I sponged this one with ink, and added a spellbinders die bauble and some sequins. I headed over to paper flourish today to get some papers for my next few classes, so will be busy this weekend coming up with some new cards and while I was there  also managed to get the new range of graphic 45 gilded lily – it is gorgeous and I can’t wait to make some cards with it – classes first, then some palying. Thats my weekend sorted!Til tomorrow

Stampin up cherry on top and zoo babies stamp set

IMG_2444 (Medium)A  quick break from secret garden.. here is a quick card I made for my great nephew’s birthday. The paper is Stampin up 6″ pad  Chery on Top, and I stamped an elephant from stampin up zoo babies stamp set. I added a die cut balloon ( kaisercraft) and some ribbon and string to finish. The banner across the top was punched with an E K success punch. My sister Kay was showing me this paper, and the bits I used here were offcuts she had in her pad. I immediately saw what I wanted to do with them so I begged them from her, and then ended up purchasing a pad of my own!Til tomorrow…
