Happy 50th Birthday

Tonights card is another 50th birthday card I made for a girlfriend, lots of 50th birthdays lately.I used Stampin Up cardstock and prima patterned paper. Also used a Martha Stewart punch ,kaisercraft rhinestones and flowers from paper flourish . I spent the morning over at paper flourish and had great fun looking at all the new stock. The new websters pages are beautiful and I also purchased a Tim Holtz 12 x 12″ paper pad.Tomorrow I am off to the Stampin Up convention as Kays guest, and I am so excited! Will give a full report tomorrow night! Til tomorrow….

In the Deep

Tonights card came about by accident. I was mucking around with some ink and cotton balls, with a totally different card in mind, but when I saw the result of my dabbings I thought That looks like the sea and it needs a ship on it so thats what happened! The Cardstock is Stampin up choc chip and night of navy, and the stamps are Oxford Impressions In the deep. I added a bit of white gel pen for the tops of the waves. It never fails to amuse me that so often I see a card in my head, but when I sit down to make it the result is so often something completely different! My back is so much better today, so tomorrow will see me over at Paper flourish setting my november class, and doing some shopping too! Til tomorrow…

21st Card

I used an Oxford Impressions bird stamp from the Nature stamp set and the ribbon is from my craft supply. My back is a little better today, and I managed to sit for a short while and make up some xmas cards, so I’m feeling much happier! Paris

Hello! We’re back! Had a lovely time down at Robe, and the weather was beautiful, but I must say I missed doing my posts. Today I want to show you my first ever foray into ripping paper. I find it almost impossible to rip paper, I think its because when we were young we were in all kinds of trouble if we ripped the pages in our books. I used Naturals Ivory cardstock, and designer paper – Newsprint – both from Stampin Up. The postmark and lady stamp was Hot off the press, Vintage ladies, and the Eiffel tower was from Stampin Ups Artistic etchings stamp set.Inks were Stampin up sahara sand and Tim Holtz antique linen, walnut stain and worn lipstick. A prima flower and Old lace glimmer mist finished it off. Must go and unpack, Til tomorrow….

Elements of Style

This is the first card I have done using my new Elements of Style stamps from Stampin Up. I used Stampin up cardstock – regal rose and whisper white. I coloured the image with my markers and a waterbrush, and took Dads advice on the colours as he assures me it is an old fashioned rose! I have a rather significant birthday coming up at the end of the week, and in order to avoid it, I am leaving town for a few days, choosing instead to bury my head in the sand  down at Robe, so there will be no updates until I am back on Saturday. My techie Nathan offered to show me how to blog ahead, but to me that feels like writing ahead in my diary. It took me 5 minutes to pack my suitcase, and over an hour to pack my craft supplies ( what to take, what to leave, does everything co-ordinate,can I do without my scallop punch – yes – have I got enough double sided tape  – yes -) and my bag is bulging! I have a little cousin down there who loves to craft so we will make xmas cards for her teacher and friends.Bye til Saturday….

Tonights cards are a group I made using the new kaisercraft Candy Lane collection. I used Stampin up cardstock, and didn’t need any Kindyglitz on these ones!
