This is the third time tonight I have tried to update my blog. Seems ok now, but it was incredibly slow before, we must have used up our hours, so hopefully I will be able to update daily this week, but it might be a bit erratic. I will apologise in advance if thats the case! Tonights card was made using Stampin Up cardstock, Gold paper and stamp from my craft supply, and Bird stamp from Stampin Up -Eastern Influences. The patterned paper and tag are from the Kaisercraft ‘Lush’ collection. I stamped the lady twice, and fussy cut . I’m busy making some samples for my portfolio as I will be teaching a class starting in October at a new store that is opening here in Adelaide. It’s called Paper Flourish, check out the website for opening times and class details. find us at www. paperflourish.com.Til tomorrow….

70th Birthday
This card is what happens when I break my golden rule and only buy one piece of patterned paper from a range! I liked this paper, but there wasn’t any other papers from this range left in the shop. I bought it anyway, and when I got home I had nothing to match it. It is a very difficult colour to match, but I didn’t give up and diluted some stampin up rich razzleberry ink and died some white flowers and paper and punched out some butterflies. The paper is Bella Allegory ‘Birdsong” and I used c’oredinations cardstock. It ended up looking o.k., but I won’t forget the 2 sheet rule again!Today was photo day, and while Nathan was busy with that I thought I would rearrange my Stampin up cardstock into the new colour groups. That took 2 hours! and seriously cut into my cardmaking time, so not much done today! Til tomorrow….
K & Co Bird
I love doing these Nature cards, and this one was really simple. White cardstock , Patterned paper and chipboard bird from K & Co Susan Winget nature collection, a flower from my craft supply and kaisercraft pearl strips.Short post tonight as I have so many new things to play with I am beside myself! My order from Stampin Up arrived today, and Mum and I had hit the craft shops yesterday mainly looking at xmas supplies for our big card challenge in October, but of course bought lots of other things as well, so now I am off to create! Til tomorrow….
Oxford Impressions Sailing ship
Tonights card uses Stampin Up cardstock- Bashful Blue and Night of Navy, and oxford impressions stamps ‘The Deep’. I used a stampin up greeting stamp, and stampin up tag die. A copper brad and copper embossing powder finished it off! This morning Mum and I visited a couple of craft shops, and I stocked up on some paper (surprise, surprise) and tomorrow we get our new release stampin up order, so all in all a good weekend cardmaking is coming up while we play with all our new things! Til Tomorrow….
Oxford Impressions truck
Male cards are always difficult to do, so when I saw the truck stamp in the Oxford Impressions Farm Boy set, I was really pleased. Here I’ve shown you 2, both using stampin up cardstock as the base, and just changed the colour of the truck, although on one I have added a bit of gravel under the truck using a stamp from stampin up bird on a branch set. I stamped the truck again on grey cardstock and cut out the wheels to give the card a little height. The ink was stampin up chocolate chip and sahara sand. a bit of string wrapped around the top of the card and done! The weather is awful, a storm is blowing through and things are blowing around the back garden. Just the weather for sitting by the heater and making cards! Til tomorrow….
Cheers to you
Tonights card is made using stampin up cardstock green Galore and Brilliant Blue, and basic grey patterned paper – Lime rickey. The stamp set is Stampin Up ‘ cheers to you’ coloured with twinkling h2o’s. I used a stampin up flower punch, and a button from my craft supply. the boys are off to the gym tonight, so I will be sitting through here doing some creating! So much new stuff to play with, and not enough hours! Til tomorrow….
Princess
Tonights card was made to use up the last bit of patterned paper that I had left from Kaisercraft Allsorts patterned paper, and rub ons. I also used Stampin up black cardstock,a chipboard circle, ribbon from my supply and the greeting stamp was from stampin up – rivetting. Still making a couple of last minute cards for the market, but I’m ready to call it a night, and go watch a bit of tv with the boys. Til tomorrow….
Boy with dog
I have been busy today getting my boxes ready for the market on Sunday. If you are at a loose end Sunday morning come down to Adelaide produce market at Pooraka and say hi! I have a few cards to make for the above mentioned boxes, I didn’t realise I was so short on young ladies cards,so will be busy tonight while the boys are at the gym. Tonights card is a bit of fun, made with stampin up chocolate chip cardstock and Basic grey Mellow collection and matching diecuts. I mounted the die cuts on to the choc chip cardstock and cut around them to stop them from blending into the background paper.I will always buy at least 2 different papers from the same collection so that I have colour co-ordination but sometimes ,like tonights card, the colours match too well. I did break my 2 paper rule not long ago and only bought 1 sheet – what a disaster – you will see those results in a couple of weeks time! (Once the photographer has taken his photos). Til tomorrow…..
80th Birthday
Tonights card is one I made for an order, and I used a Le Suh 3d sheet on it. I make a lot of 3d cards, but I don’t put them up on my blog because I don’t employ a lot of skills to make them, but this one turned out a treat so I though I would share. The cardstock was Stampin up Bravo Burgundy and Websters Pages patterned paper, a prima flower, kaisercraft pearls and kindyglitz. I hope this makes sense, my whole space has been invaded by my whole family. Why do they all have to be in the same square metre as me? I much prefer the nights they all go to the gym! Aren’t I terrible! Til tomorrow….
A Kind word
Wasn’t today glorious! I spent some time sitting out in the sun, just enjoying – it brought back memories of long ago ( well , quite long ago!) summer school holidays that seemed to stretch on forever, playing cricket in the street, mud pies in the back garden, and Dad hitching up the Sunwagon, all of us crammed into the car heading off north  to the Flinders Ranges to admire the wildflowers! So I thought it would be a good day to show you these cards I made with Stampin Up stamps – A Kind Word. I also used stampin up cardstock – Pretty in Pink, and Kaisercraft patterned paper Little Miss and Little Man. I used some Bazzill cardstock , kindyglitz and flowers from my craft supply. Lets hope for more days like today! Til tomorrow….
