Fairytale

I saw this paper and couldn’t resist it!I have made 2 different shaped cards here, but used the same idea on both of them. The paper lends itself to fussy cutting beautifully. The patterned paper is 3 bugs in a rug –  Savannah magical castle, fairy princess and bibidi bobbidi booo, and I also used Bazzill cardstock, my nestabilities circles, and cuttlebug, Kindyglitz and a corner rounder. Today Kay and I did our embellishment class with the card ladies at the retirement village, and a good time was had by all! I have to say, I have never seen them so quiet! They were totally engrossed and concentrating, the time flew and they all went home with lots of lovely embellishments to decorate their cards with. Our next joint project is in October when we will be doing an all day card making class to make xmas cards to send over to the troops, for them to then send on to their loved ones. The ladies love doing these kind of cards, and before Mothers Day they made over 80 cards for the troops to send home so I would say they will be aiming for over 100 this time! Thats a lot of cardstock and paper so I will have to go through my xmas box to see what I can donate to the cause!Til tomorow…

Dad

Tonights card is made with the new Kaisercraft up up and away papers and matching stamps. I also used Stampin up Mellow Moss cardstock, and stampin up ink pads – choc chip, old olive and really rust. I used a metallic pen to draw in the string from the balloons, and the balloons were stamped twice, cut out and layered on the card. Still cold, but the heater is on in here again, and it will be another fun night of card making!

Uptown Girl

Today I have been over at Kays, playing with her punches (She has so many!) as we are giving a joint lesson next week over at the reirement village on making your own embellishments, so today was all about getting prepared. I recently purchased this paper, but have only had a chance to make this one card with it so far. My fingers are itching to get back to it, so no doubt there will be more cards in future blogs! The paper is K & Co Susan Winget Nature, and I have also used the matching clearly yours icon, and adhesive chipboard icon. Bazzill was the cardstock, and I used Websters pages fabric ribbon along the bottom of the card, and finished off with some Kaisercraft pearls.

Daughter

Today was photo day, and as threatened Nathan got the photo tent out. Taking the photos was great, it only took a short time, but folding that tent up took a great amount of time, and in the end we had to go on to u-tube and watch a folding demonstration. You will see the results of todays shoot in about a week, I have been building up a stockpile of photos because Nathan has wrestling commitments ( He takes the photos at the shows) for the next couple of weekends and may not be able to take my photos.Todays card was made using Stampin up cardstock – Blush Blossom, and Websters Pages – Postcards from Paris. I used some Prima say it in pearls, Mulberry st. handmade paper flowers, Kindyglitz and a bit of lace from my craft supply. Til Tomorrow…
