Continuing on with kaisercraft true Romance

IMG_9326 (Medium)As I started with the revisit to Kaisercraft True Romance paper collection yesterday we will continue on with the cards I made before I created the rectangle aperture card. This card uses some of the 12 x 12 paper,a couple of the collectables and some fussy cut flowers. There were lots of tags in this collection so I have done a lot of layering here, with the tags and the doilies that are also in this collection. This is another collection that I have lots of so it will take a few revisits before I have used it all! I have inked around the edges of everything with tea dye ink. Inking around edges is a good idea when you are doing lots of layers as it defines each layer.Tea dye distress ink is always my go-to ink pad for this job. Til tomorrow….

Purple day today!

IMG_6548Recently I had an order for a purple birthday card, so I teamed it with black and gold , and got to work with the big shot and a variety of dies…kaisercraft layered flowers, magnolia flourish, and spellbinders for the sentiment and tags. The gold foiled doily was from a kaisercraft paper range, embossing folder was an older stampin up one, and the cardstock was also stampin up.I cheated and used gold letter stickers for the message.Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Mademoiselle

IMG_6558I found a Kaisercraft Mademoiselle card that I haven’t posted yet..I used 12 x 12 papers for this one, and some fussy cut pieces from more 12 x 12 paper. I used a kaisercraft occassions die to die cut the greeting in gold cardstock, added some gold thread behind, and hand crocheted a doily ( still practising !) and added some bead, and bling , ribbon bow , in the centre. The cardstock base is a piece of stampin up cardstock. Til tomorrow….

Fathers day ideas..

IMG_6552IMG_6553Fathers day is not too far away, so I have been making a few fathers day cards. These two are made with a Close to my Heart stamp set.. I haven’t tried this company before, and I am quite impressed with quality and price. The set includes quite a few stamps, including the bow tie and moustache on the bottom card, and the bottle of Pop on the top card. The papers I used are from Stampin Up, an older designer series called confetti celebration. Another new purchase I was trying out is the Enamel Accents on the top card. These are little bottles of liquid which drops out of the bottle beautifully and hardens like enamel. They take a while to dry, ideally left over night. I have a few colours, and very tempted to buy some more! I coloured the bottLe of Pop with copic markers, and didn’t need to colour the bottom card ..that’s how it stamped out. Til tomorrow…..

Back to the beginning….

IMG_0306 (Medium)IMG_0309 (Medium)When I first started cardmaking I made 3D cards. This is before I discovered patterned paper! anyway, now and again I go back to my cardmaking roots and rediscover 3d sheets all over again. I love the act of sitting in front of the TV fussycutting the layers..the most relaxing thing ever, and it is always fun to try an old style with new tools such as the top card with the Kaisercraft  Roses embossing folder and the bottom card with swipes of my clear wink of stella pen.I bought a few  3d sheets when I was at the craft fair for a very good price, so over the year you may see some more ideas from me as I create with them. Today i have plans to actually enjoy some quality time in the craft room – something that has been lacking in the past few weeks..til tomorrow….

Dinosaur cards…

IMG_0327 (Medium)IMG_0329 (Medium)

It is my Great nephews second birthday soon and he is crazy for Dinosaurs. When I was at the craft fair I found a couple of sheets of patterned paper by Hobby Fun Co ltd which fit the bill nicely.I bought 2 sheets and managed to make 10 cards from them, some of which are shown here. No extra embellishments, just a bit of layering. Today i have my Mature Ladies class over at Paper Flourish and I am so looking forward to catching up with my ladies, so i must be off and get prepared! Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Mademoiselle..

IMG_0319 (Medium)The Kaisercraft Mademoiselle paper collection is gorgeous, so much so that I have used it for my August class at Paper Flourish! For this card I have used the 6″ paper pad,and a couple of the collectables. The trim is by Prima, and the butterfly is fussy cut from another of the papers in the pad.The secret to this vintage style paper is to ink around all your edges…I have used Tea Dye distress ink.We will continue this collection after Nathan has photoed the cards I have since made up, meanwhile tomorrow we will have a look at some stamped cards I recently worked on. Til tomorrow…..

Bo Bunny Butterfly kisses 2 and 3..

IMG_0313 (Medium)IMG_0314 (Medium)Cards 2 and 3 in my Bo Bunny Butterfly kisses series, and the top card continues on the theme set with the first card, using another die from the stampin up tea time set. This time I used the tea pot die, and filled it with fussy cut flowers from the bo bunny paper. The cardstock and ribbon is from Stampin Up.The bottom card uses all bo bunny papers, variously cut from 12 x 12 sheets. I fussy cut the butterfly and the gorgeous brad is also from Bo bunny, the brads that came with this collection are amazing!. The cardstock is from stampin up. Til tomorrow….

Lawn fawn .let’s polka! 3….

IMG_5609 (Medium)This is the third card i made with Lawn fawn let’s polka in the meadow 6″ pad.The dies I used were Stampin Up Dress up, and a kaisercraft flourish circle die. The scalloped stitch die was My Favourite Things. Some punched leaves, kaisercraft flower and bling to add the finishing touches. I could have used the whole pad designing my dresses, but tomorrow I will show you what i did with the scraps I created! i am up very early for a saturday,I have done all my housework, pot of vegetable soup on the stove and now I am off to the craft room to come up with some designs using a new stamp set to inspire a group of ladies who fell in love with the stamps but have run out of ideas on what to do with them! Til tomorrow….
