Handbags

Tonights card is a really simple one.stampin up black cardstock, and silver cardstock, stickers stuck on metallic paper, and cut out, and a bit of ribbon from my craft supply. The fun was photograghing it! We had a beautiful photo of Nathans face reflected in the silver cardstock, it was classic! Sadly Nathan deleted the photo before I could do anything with it, and then set his camera up on a tripod and took the picture remotely. I’m off now to do a bit of cardmaking,I’ll see you tomorrow!

Dinosaur

Todays card uses stampin up certainly celery cardstock and cosmo cricket patterned paper. I used bazill cardstock and stampin up cardstock for the dinosaur and ran the top layer through the cuttlebug using the mesh embossing folder. a wobbly eye finished him off. My cuttlebug was used again with the stampin up tag dies, a happy birthday stamp and a couple of brads completed the card. Quick post today as its shopping night .See you tomorrow!

Happy Birthday

A much more relaxed post tonight – no rushing off anywhere! Continuing on with the Tea at Elsies paper collection from kaisercraft ( I really like the colours in this set of papers) I used cor’dinations cardstock for the base, and stampin up stamps  – nice and easy notes, and watercoloured the image. Trusty cuttlebug and nestabilities circles for the mats , ribbon from my craft supply, punched flowers with a stampin up punch, and kaisercraft pearls and clear kindyglitz finished it off. Thanks for visiting, see you tomorrow!

Time for a cuppa

Early post today because its shopping night!  This card  base is stampin up Riding hood red, with the cup and saucer cut out from Basic Grey’s Nook and pantry 6″ paper pad, the cupcakes are fussy cut from the same paper pad, and the  tea bag that is tucked in the top is a Twinings! This card could be used for a number of reasons – birthday, friendly hello or get well soon. See you tomorrow!

Peacock

Hi, its been a busy couple of days, but I have finally got some time to sit and create, so the dining table is covered with papers and stamps, and my mind is busy ticking over. I saw a beautiful card on Kays site (link on the right) from her friend Judith, and I am going to pinch a couple of her ideas to make my cards tonight. But for now I want to show you a card that I made intending to give to Kay for her birthday, but ended up giving her a different one. This one will be kept for my other sisters birthday in October.I used stampin up cardstock – melon mambo – Die cut a circle in the front, and attached a window of acetate. I stuck on an outline sticker of a peacock  and coloured it with sakura aqualip pens. I stamped a couple of feathers from stampin ups Natures Nest and silver embossed them, cut them out and attached them to the front .A bit of bling and Done!

Gypsy Sisters

This kaisercraft paper is lovely, but I found it hard to come up with ideas for. Most of the pages in the 6′ pad are heavily patterned, and I will have to play with it a bit more before I am completely happy with the results.I used stampin up Taken with teal cardstock which co-ordinates perfectly, and matching flowers, brad and rhinestones from kaisercraft. A computer generated sentiment matted onto more Taken with Teal and trim from my supply completes this one.

Skateboard Dude

A quick card for a young man! Stampin up cardstock – pumpkin Pie, Kaisercraft Rewind collection 6″ paper pads and a kaisercraft stamp completes this card! I love 6″ paper pads of any company because all the co-ordination is done for you!

more dogs!

Back again with another card made from Basic Greys Max and whiskers collection. This one was made using stampin up taken with teal cardstock (a colour they have just discontinued, but I will be using for a while as I have stocked up because it is one of my favourites) I fussy cut a few images from the patterned paper, and finished it off with kaisercraft letters. I have been busy making cards beyond the usual happy birthday which you will see over the next week as I will be down at the Adelaide Produce Market at Pooraka next Sunday the 25th July selling my cards. If you are in the vicinity come over and say Hi! I always enjoy chatting to fellow card makers.

Doggy chorus

Have had a great day today. I took mum and her friend Dot over to my sister Kays house, where we  put all our cardstock and paper scraps into the middle of the table and spent the afternoon punching assorted shapes and making embellishments for our cards. The afternoon flew by, and we still have lots of scraps left so we are planning to do it again, but on a grander scale with the ladies in the card making group at the local retirement estate.Anyway, on to todays card, which is made with stampin up black cardstock and Basic Grey papers – Max and Whiskers. There are alot of  little pictures on this paper which is great for cutting out, and I think I will get about 9 cards out of the one sheet of paper. Value!.I used my cuttle bug and alphabet dies for the Happy Birthday, and stuck a pair of wobbly eyes on one of the dogs for a bit of an accent.

21st cards

I am still playing with the kaisercraft Le Chataeu collection . For the card above I used stampin up cardstock – black, a key sticker, ovals die cut using my spellbinders, and ribbon from my craft supply. For the card below I used Stampin Up cardstock baja Breeze, a key sticker, ribbon and lace and kaisercraft pearls. It’s funny how just changing the accent colours on a card can change the suitability from male to female. I always look for papers like this as they are such good value for money.I have put this paper away for now, but I haven’t finished with it yet!
