Stampin Up cottage Window

IMG_5832 (Medium) IMG_5832 (Medium)I named this post after the stamp set I used to create this card, but there is so much more going on! After I had fussy cut out the window I stuck it onto my card base which i had covered with a scrap of paper – it reminded me of wallpaper… then I made my chest of drawers using spellbinders label seventeen dies, and for the drwaers Modern Label punch ( stampin Up) and added liquid pearls for the drawer handles.I inked around all parts of the drawers with brown ink Then it was time to move on to the vase of flowers – a circle punched out with a 1 inch punch, and trimmed off top and bottom, and flowers and leaves punched out with various punches. I do like creating these type of scenery cards, and this one was a retirement village lesson, which all the ladies enjoyed! Tonight I plan to tackle some male themed cards, I have rediscovered my motorcycle stamp, and have some ideas…Til tomorrow….

Cheers to you owl

IMG_5828 (Medium)Male cards are always challenging, so I often fall back on this design – or something similar. I embossed the brown cardstock with a Sizzix woodgrain embossing folder, and die cut a circle from the middle of it. The owl is punched from various scraps of patterned paer with a Stampin Up owl punch, and the leafy branches around the owl are punched with a martha Stewart frond punch. The greeting and glass are stamped using Stampin Up Cheers to you stamps.Other week flown by, and very busy it has been too, Hopefully i find a few minutes to myself to do some serious cardmaking this weekend! Til tomorrow…..

Yellow and grey colourway – the last!

IMG_2865 (Medium)Here is the last Yellow and Grey card  – The paper is My Minds Eye – follow your heart, the cardstock is by Kaisercraft, Greeting stamp is stampin up layered labels, and the main flower was made by stamping two flowers from Stampin Up Vintage vogue stamp set, and fussy cutting them out.I added a kaisercraft brad, ribbon bow, a couple of kaisercraft flowers and leaves punched out with a martha stewart frond punch. The embossing folder is a stampin up chevron folder. Til tomorrow…..

Very Blingy card!

IMG_5826 (Medium)This is a card I made for our cardmakers club challenge. We had to have a go at making ribbon roses, which I failed miserably! In the end I just covered a die cut circle with glue, piled on the ribbon and crossed my fingers, but oh well we all have our weaknesses and making ribbon flowers is mine! I do like the rest of the card though, and for it I used – Stampin Up Pink Pirouette cardstock, spellbinders D-Lite die – ornamental tags two, a cheery lyn die, and Melissa francis paper – C’est La Vie. I added lace, a bling swirl, large pearl and prima flowers to finish. I have had a good afternoon in the craft room today, and I am heading back there now to put my head down and come up with some Ideas for my August classes. Til tomorrow…..

Tea for two and Dress forms – stampin up number 2

IMG_5827 (Medium)Two cards today, and the one on the left uses all the same products as the card on the previous post, but I used Bashful Blue cardstock instead of Pink cardstock, and used a different piece of patterned paper from the Tea for Two range. The card on the right uses Attic boutique paper from Stampin up, and lace an d flower trim, also from stampin up.Same ideas – different looks! It’s a very cold afternoon here in Adelaide, the end of the working week, and I am looking forward to getting into the craft room this weekend – I haven’t been in there all week – it’s just been too cold to move very far from the heater! Til tomorrow….

Tea for two and Dress up – stampin Up

IMG_5825 (Medium)I have quite a list of things I used on this card – all Stampin Up except for a few at the end of the list! Here goes – The dies used are Blossom party die and Dress up framelits, the embossing folder is Honeycomb, paper is tea for two ( gorgeous range) the sentiment is stamped with a stamp from Itty Bitty Banners, and I used pink Piruoette cardstock and inked all my edges with the same colour ink. The flourish on the dress form was stamped with a stamp from Everything Eleanor in versamark ink and then I brushed on some perfect pearl powder  – thats not stampin up as is the rest – Doily, rhinestones and large pearl. the ribbon is stampin up taffeta pink pirouette. Whew! I did enjoy creating this card, and I have another one in a similar style to show you all tomorrow. Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Porcelain rose 10 and 11 – The last….

IMG_5848 (Medium)Quick post tonight, as Tea is cooking as we speak! Here are my last two cards made using Kaisercraft Porcelain Rose, so tomorrow we move on to something new! I made good use of the collectables for these cards, used the 6″ pad for the backgrounds, and created a little scene using the border strips, chairs , flowers and tags ( which I used as pictures on the wall) I loved working with this collection, the colours were so varied, and the range of cards I made all looked different. I have none of these cards left now as they all sold at my craft fair stall.Off now to dish up tea, Til tomorrow….

Porcelain rose number 9 with acetate

IMG_5847 (Medium)This one was a hard one to photo so i hope you all get the general idea! I used Kiasercraft Porcelain Rose paper, and the gorgeous sheet of acetate that was released with this collection. The 12 x 12 ” acetate has a beautiful pattern all the way around it, with roses, and birds so I did this design a few times using every inch of that acetate! I cut the front of my base card off and replaced it with acetate, while inside I lined the card with paper, and added a little pocket with a journal card from the matching collectables so that you can write a message to the recipient. Back to work for me today, so bit tired tonight, and a night in front of the tv is all I will be up to! Til tomorrow…

kaisercraft Porcelain rose number 3

IMG_5836 (Medium)This card uses a couple of pieces of the 12 x 12 paper from the Kaisercraft porcelain rose collection, and a couple of pieces from the packet of collectables that match. I stamped the sentiment ( stampin Up) on one of the collectables, and put the banner piece behind it to break up the black and white. The leaves in the corner are punched with martha Stewart leaf punch, and I punched a circle, cut it into a spiral and rolled a flower.Today has been a day of straightening up the craft room, still some work to do in there – I have bought some new storage bits and pieces, so it’s a good time to have a thorough clean out and donate some supplies to the ladies at the reirement village – my mojo seems to have left me for today – hope it’s back tomorrow! Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Porcelain Rose number 2

IMG_5835 (Medium)Todays card is really simple, just the 6″ pad and collectables in the Kaisercraft Porcelain Rose collection, with a stampin up sentiment and flower. It’s the matting and inking around the edges that gives it a bit a of interest, and I just love the bird!I had a wonderful  3 days at the craft fair. Saw lots of my ladies – thank you all for stopping by to say hello, sold a lot ( have to get back into the craft room to replenish my boxes once I have tidied it up) and stocked up on lovely things like lace and buttons. Today I have been working on  an order, I still have a week of holidays left, so tomorrow will be spent sorting out the craft room – everything has just been dropped in there at the moment! til tomorrow….
