graphic 45 A Ladies Diary 12,13,14

While on Graphic 45 I thought I would show these three cards made using A Ladies Diary.Interesting story about the background paper on the top card – A workmate of my Husbands asked him if I could use old wallpaper sample books, which then duly made their way home, and the background paper on the top card is actually wallpaper! These books are terrific – if you can get your hands on any grab them!i also used a Cheery Lyn tropical flourish on this card too. The bottom two cards incorporate ribbon, lace, and an E.K.success fan border punch for that true vintage feel!Til tomorrow….

Anna griffin Camilla 5

We appear to be all over the place with my postings but I have a few cards that have missed being posted, and I am trying to tidy up my folders. so, this one is a card made from Anna griffin paper and matching embellishments( Number 5 apparently)I used a spellbinders dress form die as well, and decorated it ( the most fun) with ribbon, lace, a flower and bling. The cardstock is Stampin Up Pink Pirouette.I have a true mess on my craft table today – I am playimg with a new kaisercraft collection, but will have to pack it up for now to plan out a lesson for my ladies at the retirement village this Friday – never have I left a lesson plan this late, but I have been busy with a few commissions which are now completed. Graphic 45 Bird Song card

Here is my first ( and only at the moment as I have been distracted with xmas cards) Graphic 45 Bird Song card. Lovely paper and I am looking forward to doing more with it, in the meantime, I did a lot of fussy cutting for this one, and mounted the images on to stampin Up cardstock – Earl Espresso and Baja Breeze. I added some seam binding and gold liquid pearls for texture.Today is a beautiful day outside, and it’s a shame to waste it, so perhaps no creating but sitting in the garden with a good book! Crate Paper Little Boy blue 3

When I made these cards, I sat down and made them all in one sitting, and the reason I loved using this paper ( Crate paper Little Boy Blue) was because it gave me a reason to use my big bright buttons! The bakers twine matches perfectly, and I fussy cut one edge of the paper, following the printed pattern, then flipped the off cuts over to use as well. The cardstock is Stampin Up real red and bashful blue.Today I have been busy making boxes for some cards, must get Nathan out with the camera.. Til tomorrow…..

Crate paper Little Boy Blue

I found in my archives a group of cards that I haven’t shown, although I made them a little while ago, and had a very hard time remembering the name of the paper – thank goodness for google – Crate Paper Little boy Blue. I only purchased 2 or 3 sheets of this paper, but got quite a lot of cards out of it – here are the first two.I used a scalloped edge punch, and made good use of my button tin and bakers twine for these two. The cardstock is Stampin Up real red. I am busy today organising some lessons, and the craft room clean up continues…. Til tomorrow…

For You

Here is a different style of card for me – hardly any patterned paper! I have relied on stamps and dies for this one. Everything on this cards Stampin Up – the patterned paper is from the comfort cafe designer paper collection, the stamps are from the Layered Labels stamp set, the dies are from the Apothecary accents framelits die set, cardstock and ink  are Cajun craze and soft suede, and even the ribbon is stampin up – crumbcake! I have quite a few projects on the go in the craft room today, which is highly unusual for me – I like to finish one thing before I start on another, so tonight my mission is to clear up some of the outstanding projects.Til tomorrow….

It’s a boy/girl cards

Todays cards are it’s a boy/ girl cards made with Stampin up baby prints stamp set,and stampin up pink piroutte and bashful blue cardstock and inks. I added assorted flowers, buttons and ribbon for some interest. I used my tim holtz emboss diffuser number 2 to create the unembossed circle in the centre of the cards so that I could stamp on the white cardstock, and still have the embossing around the stamped image. I do like this gadget and must investigate the other diffusers in this product line. The other thing I am looking for is a die which cuts a window with a window ledge – if anyone knows the name of this die I would really appreciate the information! Prima Tea thyme number 4

This is the last in my Prima Tea Thyme collection ( for now) and for this one I have used the papers, and the matching journalling notes to make the frame. The Bird is Die cut from my sizzix tim holtz caged bird, and I just added some seam binding and kaisercraft rhinestones to finish.I love all the paper in this range, and will get back to it after I have finished with Christmas cards! Til tomorrow….

Prima tea Thyme number 3

Todays card uses Prima Tea Thyme patterned papers, and a couple of dies – memory box la rue flourish, and Sizzix Tim Holtz caged bird. The bird I used in the cage is from a packet of Prima resist canvas. these are wonderful things! You can colour them to match your project, and when you do a pattern appears on the canvas! Wonderful! I just added some seam binding and bling to finish.I completed my special orders today, and am now back to Christmas cards. It’s back to work tomorrow so probably won’t get too much achieved in the craft room until the end of the week – til tomorrow….
