Still clearing my files, and here is another Graphic 45 A ladies Diary card. I used stampin Up Early espresso cardstock, and the stickers and chipboard that came with the ladies diary collection. I used up a scrap of lace under the chipboard, and The Brad is a stampin up vintage brad. I got my order from Kay today, so much new stuff to play with – I am beside myself! I have to clear a project on my desk, then it’s out with all the goodies..Til tomorrow….

Graphic 45 A Ladies diary card number 8
When I made this card it reminded me of a painting hanging on a wall, and The graphic 45 A ladies Diary chipboard was perfect for this. The card is self explanatory, but the white strip is interesting. I cut it to size, then put it in my trimmer, but instead of cutting, I ran my bone folder down the cutting lane ( did this twice – just moved the cardstock over a little) and it gave these wonderful embossed lines which is exactly the look I wanted for my picture rail! Tonight I will be in the craft room putting the finished touches to my order, and then I will be all organised to start playing with my new stampin up stuff when I get it tomorrow… Til tomorrow…
Stamping fun
Hi, hope everyone is well. We will be jumping about a bit this next week, as I want to clear a few folders before we really start to get serious about Christmas ( and all my great new stuff that I am picking up on the weekend – great excitement!). this is a card I made a little while ago, and I have used a few different stamp companies to get this look! The cardstock is Stampin Up Wisteria Wonder, and Very Vanilla, and the ink used is tim holtz Milled lavender and Shabby shutters. I carefully used both pads on the flower stamp ( from stampin Up Bloomin with Beauty set) and once stamped coloured lightly with the same inks. The background stamp used for the back of the flower was Stampers Anonymous Bitty Grunge Background ( some great stamps in this set – I haven’t played with them enough). I made a mask of the flower, positioned it over the original stamped version and then stamped my background. When the mask is removed the flower appears to be in front of the background. Might have to do a video on that technique…..Anyway, the script stamp at the very back is Stamp It Butterfly script. It is the only script stamp I have so its very well inked. All background stamping is the same lavender ink as the flower.I had a great morning setting up my October class for Paper Flourish, and got a sneaky look at the Kaisercraft Papers for October, we are in for a treat! It was the first time I had been able to craft all week, as it’s been a very busy week, so I had those cards done in no time!I have spent the rest of the day in the card room doing a huge order and I will continue on after tea. Til tomorrow….
Kaisercraft The Lakehouse number 13
After quite a long break, we are back to Kaisercraft The Lake house patterned paper and matching collectables. I can’t delieve how many cards I have made with this range of paper, it has been truly worth the money! I added some grey ribbon , kindyglitz, and platinum perfect pearls. The base cardstock is Stampin Up basic grey. Very quick post tonight, as I have to go out , til tomorrow…..
Summer smooches number 2
Very quick post tonight as it’s shopping night! The paper here is Stampin Up summer Smooches, and I also used the matching summer smooches fabric to die cut the flowers with my stampin up party blossoms die. The fabric was also used for the flower stems. I cut a tag and used stampin Up petite pairs stamp for the tag.Til tomorrow….
Daydream Medallions
When I went to Canberra with Kay one of the stamp sets we received was Daydream Medallions. When I saw it, I didn’t think it would be one that I would use. A very good friend used it and I was hooked! This is my first card using it, but I have since made many more and alot of them are christmas themed, so they will be up here at some stage. For this one though, I used early espresso cardstock, as the base and Very Vanilla. The base card is stamped with a little flower stamp from the Bliss set, as is the butterfly, sadly not available any more.I stamped the daydream dedallions in early espresso and soft suede ink, and fussy cut around both, and layered them on top of each other. I then stamped another stamp of the set in the centre.Another stamp set we received was Memorable Moments, and it is great – a couple of sentiment stamps, but more importantly numbers! I am now making lots of age themed cards. I don’t have to rely on stickers any more! I stuck some kaisercraft pearls around the medallion and that part was finished. I then ran some Very Vanilla cardstock through my cuttlebug using the Stampin Up vintage wallpaper folder, which I had inked over with early esprsso ink – on reflection next time I would use the lighter ink. A bit of lace trim and done! I went up to Paper Flourish today and stocked up on all the new kaisercraft christmas paper, and tonight I will be preparing some lessons for October using some of it – lovely vintage style paper it is too, just my thing!I also bought some new spellbinder dies, so can’t wait to have a play with them as well. Til tomorrow….
Worlds Greatest….Dad
Here is my final fathers day card for this year. The base cardstock is stampin Up early espresso, and the patterned paper is Simple Stories Awesome. I die cut the cup from a cuttlebug die that I have had for ages – I am not sure if it is still available, and the letters are from a websters pages sheet. The Worlds Greatest is a new stamp from stampin Up and I stamped it in black on to some Crumbcake cardstock and distressed the edges. The two circles in the opposite corners are craftworks candi. After tea I will be found in the craft room preparing my packs for my village lesson this month – it’s all about christmas! Til tomorrow….
stampin up summer smooches
At the end of May this year, I accompanied my sister Kay ( who is a stampin up demonstrator) to their annual convention. I went along to keep her company, see Canberra, have a bit of a holiday, and also learn some new card making techniques. We had a great crafty, girly time, and came home with lots of goodies ( so much so that Kay had to pay excess baggage!). Now, I have had a great time playing with all these goodies, but haven’t been able to show you anything … until today! The new catalogue starts today, so finally I can post all my stampin up creations. It goes without saying, if you like anything you see me use, click on my link to Kays blog, leave her a comment or e-mail, and she will organise a new catalogue for you – there are lots of lovely crafty things in it, and hopefully she has put my HUGE order through today! The card I am showing today uses the new designer paper Summer Smooches, and there is matching material available with this one, which I have stuck onto cardstock with double sided adhesive paper and then run through my cuttlebug with the Stampin Up Blossom Party die to make these great texture filled flowers. This is a great idea for scraps of material, or even a favourite item of clothing that is sadly past its use by date!Instead of a leaf for the flower I used the same technique to create ziz zag leaves. The other die I used was Stampin Up ( sizzix) labels collection framelits, and I made a tag and stamped it with a sentiment from my petite pairs stamp set. All that was left to do was add bakers twine! Wow – long post today! I can’t wait to get into the craft room tonight and create some more spring cards, til tomorrow….
group of 3 fathers day cards
With fathers day just around the corner now I thought I would show this group of three fathers Day cards that I made using Simple Stories Awesome papers, and my Docrafts papermania Dad stamp. The general theme is the same, just swapped around the colours, and used Stampin Up cardstock for the base card. On all the cards i stamped the Dad stamp a few times and fussy cut the letters out to mix and match .Some flags were fussy cut from the papers, and twine and brads were also used. Today I finished some christmas card ideas I had floating around, and now I am ready to head to the craft room to create some bright sunny cards in the hope that it encourages the real thing to show itself – It has been an amazingly wet ,cold and dreary winter, and I am ready to see a little sunshine! Til tomorrow…
Nature walk card
I enjoy doing these collage type cards, and I usually use a mix of brand names when I am making them. this card is no exception. The bird is stamped using a stamp from Oxford impressions nature set, the cardstock, patterned paper, seam binding, and Nature walk stamps are all from Stampin Up, The brass leaf is by Tim Holtz, and I also used a Martha Stewart punch, and a feather and some twine.Late post tonight, and still have things to do around here, so no crafting tonight, Til tomorrow….
