Fine and Sunny

That title is not a weather report for us here in Adelaide. As I sit and type we are in the middle of a storm, and it is freezing! Still maybe if I type it enough it will happen – so – The papers I used on this card were Kaisercraft Fine and Sunny, and the tower of birds were in the matching collectables pack. I used a Martha Stewart Punch to decorate the edges of my paper, and just added some kaisercraft rhinestones to the little birds eyes. I am teaching a class tomorrow at Paper Flourish, so tonight will be spent getting my craft bag organised. Til tomorrow….

Something girly and feminine for a change!

I have posted something similar to this in the past, but I was in need of bling and colour today, and this was a very recent make, so here it is! All supplies here except the flower, lace and ek success punch are from stampin up. The cardstock is Pool party, the gorgeous paper ( so lovely I had to buy more) is Attic Boutique, and I fussy cut the bodice from one of the sheets. I created the dress with very wide lace from Spotlight, and added 2 strip of narrower lace across the top of the bodice. The ribbons are stampin up pool party and cherry cobbler.I created a tag abd stamped the greeting from my Stampin up petite pairs set. These stamps are great for little tag greetings. It is very cold here in adelaide today, but I have put on the heater in the craft room, and intend to unwind in there for a couple of hours this evening! Til tomorrow…..

Kaisercraft sears & sons Fathers day card 5

This is the last in this series for a little while because I feel in the need of something frilly, and blingy! Kaisercraft Sears & sons paper and collectables for this one, and I swiped all the edges with my tim holtz weathered wood stamp pad. A bit of string around the top for the bunting, and all stuck onto Stampin Up not quite navy cardstock.I have prepared all my market boxes, and I have a terrible feeling that after Sundays market I will be making more fathers day cards. I thought I had enough, but have already sold quite a few, so next week it’s back to mens cards!I have a village class tonight, and we are making christmas cards, so quite looking forward to that. Til tomorrow….

My favourite Fathers day card

This is my favourite fathers Day card, so my boys will be giving it to their Dad so that it stays in the house! The cardstock is Stampin Up Not Quite Navy, and the paper and matching collectables are Kaisercraft Sears & sons. I added a little sponged walnut ink to the hat to age it a bit, and cut the letters out using my cricut machine and Songbird cartridge ( the letters were cut at 1 1/2″). I just added googly eyes to finish off my face! I will spend a little time in the craft room tonight doing some orders, but I really have to start thinking about christmas cards.I still have a bit of leftover paper from last year to use before I stock up on all the new releases coming out next month… great excitement…. Til tomorrow..

More new stuff, and a Fathers day card…

Over the weekend I have been experimenting with a great find! It’s called Viva precious metal. It comes in a little bottle, and you apply it with a sponge to die cuts etc, to achieve a wonderful metallic colour. On this card I have applied the Bronze to a spellbinders Sprightly Sprocket die, and teamed it up with the great new papers and collectables from Kaisercrafts new release – Sears & Sons, and some stampin up early espresso cardstock. This paper is fantastic for masculine cards, and just in time for Fathers day. Over the next couple of days I will show you what else I have done with this paper, and my new paints! Til tomorrow….

Playing with my new dies number 2

While i had my new dies out, I made another card with them again using Kaisercraft The Lake House  papers ( for those keeping track this would be number 11 in this series of paper!). So, the dies used are Cheery Lyn designs Tropical Flourish and Lattice number 2, and i added a flower made with my Tim Holtz sizzix tattered Florals. The brad in the centre is a kaisercraft brad, and for the pearl effect I used some perfect pearls. The sentiment is from Stampin up Petite Pairs.Well with a final push last night, I have now finished my fathers day cards, just in time for my Market stall next sunday! I am now looking forward to starting some Christmas cards, using some great new products I purchased last week although I am pacing myself because kaisercraft have some great papers coming out next month which I will be indulging in, and basing a few classes around. In the meantime Nathan and I will take some photos tomorrow and I will show you all what I have been playing with today!Til tomorrow….

Playing with my new dies…

I can never resist buying new dies for my cuttlebug. I think they are a good investment, and I can always justify a purchase by telling myself I will run a class using them! This card  uses two Cheery Lyn Design dies – tropical Flourish and Lattice number 2. The paper I used  here is Kaisercraft The Lake House and a matching collectable inked around the edge with spun sugar distress ink. I just  added  a ribbon  bow to finish.I still have a few cards made using  this paper that I haven’t shown yet – this is number 10 -I certainly have got my moneys worth out of this paper!I will spend a little time in the craft room tonight – I have an idea for another Fathers day card then I am ready to move on! Til tomorrow….

Boys 21st card

Todays card is an order I made for a 21st card. The papers used are Bo Bunny weekend market ( I love the rich colours of these papers) and I added a few bits and pieces – a Kaisercraft these days collectables Key, some craftworks candii ( my new favourite embellishment, especially for male themed cards – one packet goes a long way) ,and a Stampin Up vintage brad and bakers twine.I had a lovely morning over at Paper Flourish setting up my september class, which is all about Christmas, and buying lots ( probably too much ) of new bits and pieces to experiment with. I intend to find a fair bit of spare time this weekend to play with it all! Til tomorrow….

A new cuttlebug card

I bought a new die the other day – Cottage cutz whimsy bird and cage, and gave it a try out recently. The background paper and chipboard piece are Pink Paislee Spring Jubilee, and I ran various colours of bazil cardstock through the cuttlebug with the die to achieve all the colours needed to complete the card.So as you can imagine I have lots of bits and pieces left over in a little bag just waiting for when I need a green bird or a pink branch! Other than that I love this die – the pieces fall out of it very easily – and its good fun piecing it all together! Tonight is shopping night so I probably won,t be able to fit in a visit to the craft room, but I am off work tomorrow so will spend some time in there then. Til tomorrow….

Large fuschia stamp card

I am hoping the photo comes up with this post – things are not right, but Nathan is otherwise occupied so we will carry on, and he may have to fix things later. A little while ago I did a youtube video on how I colour my stamped images, and this is the stamp I was colouring with distress inks, and what happened to it after the camera was turned off! I had a couple of coloured images so I cut into one of them to create a 3d topper, and then matted it onto Stampin up cardstock – Wisteria Wonder and Pink Pirouette. The embossing folder was Craft Concepts Cottage Florals, the stamp was Kaszazz Large Fuschia stamp and I finished of the card with some ribbon and perfect pearls.Must go as tea is ready, til tomorrow….
