Kaisercrafts other release for this month is this collection called Fine and sunny. I was going to be good and not purchase this one, but couldn’t help myself, and it makes a nice change from all the Mothers day type paper I have been playing with. For this card I used the paper pad, matching collectables and sticker sheet. I just added a little bling and kindyglitz to finish. Hoping to spend an hour in the card room tonight, til tomorrow….

Card with tag
Here is another card made using the new Prima Nature Garden papers, on this one I have created a little triangular pocket and slipped a tag inside which has my greeting on it – you could pop a gift voucher in here too. I heat embossed a flower and butterfly on vellum, fussy cut a little bird from the papers, and added Prima flowers and leaves, seam binding, and a Stampin Up brad to finish. I have spent a couple of hours in the craft room today, playing with more new papers, but I really must get back to using up some more older papers – next on my list… Til tomorrow…..
English rose … the last I promise….
I farewelled this paper some time ago, but Nathan and Ididn’t take any photos this weekend, and I was going back through my files to see what hadn’t been posted yet, and I found this group of cards, which is – I promise – the last of kaisercraft English rose paper ( mainly because I haven’t got any of that paper left) and a collection of ribbon and flowers, and some sizzix tattered florals made with my cuttlebug.I am looking forward to spending a few hours in the craft room tonight, I really haven’t had time for a nice long card making session all week, and have quite a few ideas I want to try out. Til tomorrow….
Nature garden
A couple of weeks ago I bought a few pieces from Primas new releases, and this collection is the only one I have had time to play with so far, but I will get to the others, hopefully this weekend. So, this is 12 x 12 shetts of Prima Nature garden, and I just added lace and flowers. I distressed the edges of the mats, and boy, does this paper distress! It took me ages before I could bring myself to do this to paper, but this collection was made for distressing. The collection comes with matching stamps, which I also purchased, and that is the butterfly image which i stamped and fussy cut, and it also has a little fairy girl holding a flower in the set, which I haven’t inked up yet. Til tomorrow….
Charlottes Dream 4 – teacup card
I have made a few of these teacup shaped cards now, and they are stunningly easy to do. Just draw your shape onto folded cardstock -( fold at the top) and cut out and decorate. I have used Kaisercraft Charlottes dream Paper, Pool party Stampin Up cardstock, and a couple of Martha Stewart punches to decorate this one, but they are great to use up all those strips of patterned paper that we always seem to be left with! Tonight I will be making another one as I have an order for one to do. Til tomorrow….
Charlottes Dream 3
The paper is Kaisercrafts new release Charlottes Dream, and I dyed the seam binding from cream to green with some stampin up reinker in certainly celery to match. The Butterfly is cut with another new die I purchased, by Memory Box, – it’s actually 2 dies – Moonlight butterfly and Kaleidoscope butterfly, but they are designed to fit together or you can use them seperately. I just added a paper flower ,kaisercraft pearls and a sentiment from my Stampin Up Blessed Mother set. Cooking tea as we speak, so must go for now.. Til tomorrow….
Charlottes Dream 2
Again, this card using kaisercraft Charlottes Dream paper collection was made so that I could play with some new purchases! The butterflies were stamped and embossed ( a new embossing powder called Antiquities weathered white by Ranger) onto vellum and cut out, and the gorgeous wreath is a new die for me from Memory box called Catalina Wreath. I just added ribbon, lace, liquid pearls and kaisercraft pearls to finish.Today has been a very productive crafty day. I finished my experimenting with strips, I have made 9 different cards just using strips. I actually used 2 sheets of patterned paper to see how much I would need for my class, and all I had left were the tiniest bits that I was quite happy to throw out!So now to choose which ones will make it into the class. I then moved on to designing a card with a built in bookmark and moving parts.I was having trouble with measurements, so put it aside and made some baby cards. Had a little Nanna nap, and when I woke up I had solved the problem with the measurements ( Amazing Huh?)so now I will be found in the craft room finishing off that design and it will also be a lesson at some time..Til tomorrow….
Charlottes dream…
Here is a card with a couple of firsts… The first card I made with Kaisercrafts new paper collection – Charlottes dream, and the first card i made with my new die made by memory box called La Rue Flourish. It is the most dainty die – I worried that it wouldn’t work well through my cuttlebug, but I have purchased a metal adapter plate to add to the cuttlebug sandwich, and it works like a dream! I also used my well used Sizzix tattered florals ( a most popular addition to my cards – Every card with one of these flowers on it sold at the market today), Stampin up Bird punch for the leaves, and some gorgeous lace , which I just wanted to keep… to finish it off. As I mentioned a busy day at the market, and beautiful weather, but so tired now, I will just be sitting in front of the T.V. tonight.. Til tomorrow….
Using scraps
This card came about because I had finished the last of some Bo Bunny paper – can’t remember the name of it, I have had it for so long, and I had a little bit of scrap left which I ran through the cuttlebug with my Tattered rose sizzix die and made these flowers… what to do with them? I found a bit more scrap paper – My Minds Eye Blush for the background matt, mounted my flowers added a little bling and finished – a card from scraps. It got me thinking – I don’t know about you but buying the 6″ pads and making the size cards I do – If we go any bigger here in Australia it’s double the postage – I always end up with a lot of 2 inch strips, so this week I have been on a mission to come up with designs that will use all those strips. I have 2 lessons to plan this week, and you can be sure that using scraps is going to be the theme for both! The class title will be The mature ladies strip class… Hehe…Til tomorrow….
