Still on my collection of Kaisercraft Cock a doodle do papers and collectables, one that doesn’t feature farm animals! I added three buttons with some string. The card stock is Stampin Up garden green. Very hot day here in Adelaide today – 35C or for my visitors that measure in Farenheight – 95 F . Awful however you say it, and it came with a truly hot north wind, so unpleasant all round! Still we managed to have a fun time over at paper flourish where I ran my monthly lesson, and I get to do it all over again on Monday, but for now it’s back to the craft room and xmas cards for me… til tomorrow…..

Mainly Dies and cuttlebug
I found this lattice die during an on line browse, and now that I have it, I have forgotten what brand it is! Sorry, can anyone help with that? Anyway its a great die, and perfect for floral themed cards. The paper I used was frpm Kaisercrafts Blae and Ivy range, and I also used my sizzix butterfly die, and Stampin Up swirls die. Martha stewart punch and an assortment of flowers completed the look. Back to xmas cards today, quite enjoying making them so I must have just needed a break from them for a few days! Til tomorrow…..
Another male card
This is a stamp from Hooked on Craft that I found on my recent holiday. It was great to colour, using my aqua brush and an assortment of stampin up pads. The cardstock is also stampin up and the paper is Kaisercraft Up Up and Away. I will be doing more with this stamp, more stamping and colouring altogether as my village ladies are all keen to learn how to colour. Great fun will be had by all of us next lesson! Thats the end of the working week for me, a very busy first week back at work, and I am looking forward to a couple of days off. Market day tomorrow, always enjoyable…. Til tomorrow…..
Odds and Ends
This card was made a little while ago using Cosmo Cricket Odds and Ends patterned paper and just a couple of buttons.I had to rumage around in my drawers (Dad would have a field day with that one ladies, but you all know what I mean)Â to find out the name of the paper for this post, and discovered a 6″ paper pad, barely used, and an elements sheet to match, so I will be revisiting this paper in the near future! Til tomorrow…..
Mariannes Birthday card
This is my Boss Mariannes Birthday card. I have used Stampin Up Early espresso cardstock, and Die cut an oval on the front panel. then backed both front and back with papers from My Minds Eye Lost and Found Blush 6″ paper pad. Lots of ribbon, lace trim, hat pin, flowers and bling! The bird and birdcage were die cut with a Tim Holtz die, and I coloured them with some glossy accents which was coloured with a drop of ink. ( a great technique, thank you Kay).I had some trouble – the card really didn’t stand very well, so I made it a little stand at the back after we took this shot.Marianne loved it, but wonders at the patience required to make these creations ( maybe I’m not that patient at work!) I’ve never thought about it – I didn’t think patience came into it – what do you all think? Til tomorrow….
A Mens Card…
It has been a while since I posted a mens card, and wanted to show this stamp. When I was on holidays, I found a little scrapbook shop in Kingston and among my purchases was this stamp set. It has this golfer as well as a fisherman and a bloke with his tools. Great stuff! I particularly like paper piecing and this stamp was perfect for that technique. I stamped the image three times onto various scrap papers and then cut out elements instead of colouring. I used a retired Stampin Up cardstock, and Kaisercraft Up Up and Away paper pad. I punched three circles and ran them through the cuttlebug machine with the swiss dots folder and used the debossed side to resemble golf balls. Paper piecing is a great alternative to colouring your stamped images, and I am going to have a closer look at my stamps to do some more of this technique. Til tomorrow….
Birdcages and butterflies..
Todays card is such a simple one… The paper is Websters Pages, from the Garden gala range( I think – correct me if I’m wrong) and a picket fence punched with a Martha Stewart punch. A very unfussy card from me today. It is the last day of my holidays, and back to work tomorrow – where did the time go? I have spent today decorating a couple of wooden jewellery boxes that I have had for a while, and I will put them on my market stall on Sunday to see how they go. They were great fun to do, and I will be looking for more of them! Til tomorrow…..
Trendsetter 3 …
I have jumped about a bit recently on my blog, so I will try and get back into some sort of  order today. These 2 cards were made with Websters Pages trendsetter papers, and Stampin Up Melon Mambo cardstock. I have had a lovely couple of days cardmaking, so after I have posted this I am going to tidy up my craft room and sit and watch a bit of T.V. Til tomorrow…..
Cock a Doodle Doo….2
Cock a doodle doo…
I have a lot of photos in my file still to show from recent makes, but I have skipped ahead to show you one I made last night after making my purchases yesterday. I bought the new kaisercraft range of Madame Boutique, and I waasn’t going to get any of the other release – Cock a doodle doo… but on an impulse picked up the 6″ pad and the sheet with all the animals printed on it as well as the bag of collectibles. Have you seen those? This is something new Kaisercraft are bringing out with their monthly ranges ad they are great. A bag full of printed cardstock cut outs – absolutely perfect for cardmaking. Anyway I got distracted… I bought these on a whim, and when I got home I did make a card with the Madame Boutique, but I made 6 with the cock a doodle doo and had to force myself to go to bed . I still have a lot of ideas in my head for this paper its such great fun! Nathans camera is still away being fixed, but he has borrowed Kays for the weekend as he has a wrestling show to photo, so we used it today to take photos of my latest cards. He was just making sure the settings were right for him!Til tomorrow…..
