Well. That was a very quick Mens card series! Truth is I got distracted with pretty paper for Mothers day cards, but I will have to make an effort and make some more before my craft fair in June. After I have finished playing with the new Kaisercraft mermaids tail papers. have you all seen that collection yet? the colours are amazing!Anyway, on to todays cards, made with kaisercraft garage days paper. the top card is very simple, I cut an image from one of the 12 x 12 papers, and layered. The strip at the bottom is from the identity strip that you find on the bottom of your 12 x 12 papers. The bottom card still uses the kaisercraft garage days papers, and I stamped a Kaszazz pocket stamp on to some of the denim paper and fussy cut it out. Spellbinders cogs dies die cut from silver card in the bottom right corner. Stamped tools with my stampin Up tools set stamp, and tucked them into the pocket. Today Mum and I are off to visit my sister who is still bedridden after her ankle operation, thankfully she only has a couple of weeks left confined to bed then she has to start some physiotherapy to get all the muscles working again.Til tomorrow…
A quick and easy one today – Kaisercraft garage days and stampin up totally tools stamp set. I didnt want to cut the image down to fit my card front so I left it just a little bit higher than the card front. I thought I would loose too much of the effect if I cut it down and it turned out ok!nothing else on this one except the fussy cut badge in the bottom right hand corner. Got to love doing mens cards card with a minimum of fuss!I have taken a break from planning out my village lesson – just one more card to do, and already my mind is wandering, thinking about which paper collection I am going to play with next – I have a lot that I haven’t cut into yet because I have been so busy with xmas cards, but I am going to take a break from them and create something different – my boys ( and husband) are putting on a wrestling show tonight so I have hours of uninterrupted card making ahead of me .. bliss…. til tomorrow….
I went deep into the blog archives to see what cards I had previously posted using this paper ( kaisercraft garage days) only to find that I had only posted a couple before now. This is terrible – it means somewhere in that craft room there is a lot of paper for men that has not been utilised. This is an oversight that will have to be remedied – maybe this weekend!I have a class to prepare, and more christmas cards to make, but I am sure I can fit in some mens makes somehow!Todays cards are a little dark – I think the shiny properties of the top card played havoc witgh nathans camera, but hopefully you get the idea. The stamps for the tools are from Stampin up – old ones I think called Totally tool. These are great for mens cards and you may still be able to get them on e-bay .Til tomorrow….
I had to do some mens cards this month,so the first paper I reached for was Kaisercraft Garage Days, although I don’t have a great deal of choice – mens themed paper seems to be the hardest to find.here I have combined it with some tool stamps which I got a few years ago from Stampin Up so I am not sure if they are still available.I have also used a few of the matching collectables, and stampin up cardstock. Must run – work is calling…til tomorrow….
two cards tonight ( as there were last night – one accidently found its way onto the blog – just one I was mucking around with – trying out some colour combos.. I wasn’t even going to put it up here but it obviously had other ideas!)These two cards both use kaisercraft Garage days paper collection and collectables, and I have used kays ( my sisters’ stampin Up die to die cut the card shape). The card on top is going to be my husbands birthday card – it’s not til February but when I make cards sometimes the person they belong to jump out at me and I put them aside in a special box.that way i am not racking my brains at the last moment ! til tomorrow….
