Kaisercraft sail away 16..the last…

IMG_7763 (Medium)This is the last Kaisercraft sail away ( for a while at least) and I made a gate fold card. The paper inside is from the 6″ pad,and I stamped a sentiment inside, used kaisercraft numbers dies for the age on the front, and a tag from the paper pad, button and bakers twine to decorate.I must make more of the gatefold cards, they are very easy to do, and you don’t have to worry about insert and verses etc, if you have nice paper thats enough!Quick post today, it was back to work, and I must now get the household organised. Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft sail Away 14 and 15

IMG_7761 (Medium)IMG_7762 (Medium)

Another couple of cards made with kaisercraft sail away – can you tell I really liked this collection? I kept coming up with ideas for it and I love the clear colours. The top card is made using the 6″ pad, and a bit of stampin up bakers twine, and the bottom card has some 12 x 12 paper on the background, with a die cut scalloped circle, and an image from the 6″ pad as the focal point. The braid running down the cards is from stampin up and I have had it for years – there’s a hint – always keep everything, one day it will come in handy!! Public holiday today, the weather is not so humid, all my housework is done, so I am off to the craft room! Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft sail away 12 and 13

IMG_7757 (Medium)IMG_7759 (Medium)Some cards for males now, using Kaisercraft sail away. I have already made quite a few cards with this collection and I have a few more to show you all.The top card is made using a corner of one of the 12 x 12 papers, and adding a greeting from the back of the matching 6″ pad, and adding a charm . The bottom card has a piece of the 12 x 12 paper as the background, and a collectable from the collection as the focal point of the card. There is a strip of patterned paper across the bottom, and the chain above it is die cut using a kaisercraft die.I have cleared all my outstanding work ( finally) in the craft room and I will finally get some time to play with the new papers i have been collecting ! Great fun ahead! til tomorrow….

sail away 11, and kaszazz lighthouse/pelican stamps..

IMG_0686 (Medium)I am calling this post sail away but really the only thing on here from the kaisercraft sail away collection is the background paper, which I inked a little bit more to enhance the green at the bottom. The rest is Kaszazz stamps which I stamped onto white cardstock, coloured with copic markers, fussy cut out and stuck onto the card front. The gull i stamped directly onto the card front. I do like creating these little scenes! This morning I have packed away all my christmas craft supplies, and i have quite a bit left to get me started next year, which is good because the christmas ranges always come into store too late for me!Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft sail away.. more embedded embossing…9 and 10…

IMG_0682 (Medium)IMG_0685 (Medium)More cards with kaisercraft sail away collection. the top card is a very simple card made with a piece of the 12 x 12 paper – card fronts with a little bit of fussy cutting detail, and the bottom card is another example of embedded embossing – I fussy cut some images from a sheet of 12 x 12 paper, stuck them on to a white card with a glue stick and ran it through the big shot in a stampin up embossing folder. To finish I die cut a ships wheel ( kaisercraft die) added a circle from the 6″ pad, already printed with the greeting, and added a bow made from bakers twine.Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft sail Away 7 and 8…

IMG_0671 (Medium)IMG_0675 (Medium)Today’s kaisercraft sail away cards….The top card has a piece of 12 x 12 paper for the background layer, and a kaisercraft die called bubbles (I think), The circles are from the 6″ pad,and I inked around the edges of them with distress inks ( stormy skies) to define them a little bit. Tyhe bottom card is made with papers from the 6″ pad,and a panel from a piece of 12  x 12 paper, The chain is a kaisercraft die, and the silver frame is from a kit I bought quite some time ago from stampin up. I did enjoy going through my drawer of old bits and pieces for these cards! A lovely day here in Aqdelaide, sun is shining, not too hot and my roast is in the oven, so all is good here in Helenland! til tomorrow…..

Kaisercraft sail away 6

IMG_0681 (Medium)Todays kaisercraft sail away card uses a sheet of paper from the 6″ pad, and I stamped a sea gull stamp ( kaszazz brand) up near the top left hand corner. The sailing ship was already on the paper. The shell in the right hand corner is by prima.I have enjoyed rummaging through all my bits and pieces to find treasures to use on these cards – I didn’t buy the matching collectables for this range – not through choice – they weren’t in the shop when I purchased it! Today I have spent some time in the craft room making all my christmas gift tags, I am just waiting for the delivery of one more gift and shopping is all done, and then the wrapping begins! I am normally not this organised, so there is something to be said for my poor knee! Til tomorrow…..

Kaisercraft Sail Away 4 and 5

IMG_0673 (Medium)IMG_0674 (Medium)Kaisercraft sail Away paper collection, this time using the 6″ pad for both these cards, and I think the same dies as I used on the previous cards. On the top card I added a button and bakers twine and on the bottom card I just added some silver twine. The plain cardstock is from stampin Up. I taught a class today using this  collection and all the ladies seemed to enjoy it, I think it’s because the colours are lovely and clear – quite often mens papers are muddied and distressed looking, and also it’s nice to move on from christmas cards!Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft sail away 2 and 3..

IMG_0669 (Medium)IMG_0670 (Medium)We are on to a new group of cards today, it’s Kaisercraft sail away collection . i love the clear colours of this collection, and at the same time Kaisercraft released some new dies that fit in perfectly with the paper, so I couldn’t resist them! The top card is made using papers from the 6″ pad, and some wide ribbon, buttons and a metal plaque I have had in my bits and pieces box for a long long time! The second card showcases a couple of the dies. I die cut the light house twice out of red and then white cardstock, and fitted all the red fiddly bits back into the white piece – very fiddly to do and next time I may just back the die cut with contrasting cardstock instead! The anchor is another die, and i used some ric-rac , ribbon, and charm as well. i have a class tomorrow so i am off now to pack up my bag….til tomorrow…..

Embedded embossing….

IMG_0683 (Medium)I have stopped the wedding cards just for today, because Nathan has uploaded a new youtube video for me , so I thought I would show this card explaining what my video is all about. I fussy cut a few images out of some patterned paper ( it’s kaisercraft sail away) , stuck them randomly on some plain white cardstock and then ran the card through an embossing folder. When it has been run through the big shot/cuttlebug etc… it looks like the paper is printed onto the card – you can’t see any raised bits..(hope that makes sense). After some experimenting I found that embossing folders that are pretty well covered in design work best.back to wedding cards tomorrow!  til tomorrow….
