This is the last for now in my kaisercraft Botanical Odyssey series. Here I have used the 6″ pad and collectables, as well as a bling strip and edged around all pieces with vintage Photo distress ink.i have spent a very productive day int the craft room today, trialling my exploding box, and playing with some lovely new prima paper, which I will go back to once I have organised dinner! Til tomorrow….
Botanical odyssey number 3
Kaisercraft botanical odyssey papers, and collectables, everything inked with vintage photo distress inks, and the sentiment a stamp from Hero Arts! A busy family day today, but I will cook a little tea, and then head into the craft room to continue making my exploding box – mums birthday card and I am thinking of doing it for a lesson in May and will also do a youtube video – its so simple but very effective. so enough to be going on with today. Til tomorrow….
Botanical Odyssey number 2
Today is Kaisercraft Botanical Odyssey number 2. Just the 6″paper pad, and matching collectables, and a little seam binding for this one – I do love this paper, and in a minute when I return to the craft room where I have been working on May Lessons, I am going to get it back out and make some more cards with this one! I haven’t played nearly enough with it yet! Great to see the rain this afternoon, a great day for crafting. Til tomorrow….
Botanical Odyssey
Early post today, as I missed last nights post as I couldn’t move with a sore leg – all is well today though and I have spent a lovely morning in the craft room. Todays card is made using kaisercraft Botanical Odyssey paper pad and collectables – my favourite recent range release – it is right up my crafting alley – love anything to do with nature.I just added a kaisercraft bling strip on this one, and stamped it with a hero arts happy birthday stamp , and sponged in Vintage photo ink around the edges of everything!I am now making a 40th birthday card, for an order, but have hit a snag deciding what my lady meant when she said retro – to me thats 60’s, but I’m thinking she might have meant 70’s and that’s two different eras with two different styles – I’ll just go back into the craft room and create until something feels right! Til tomorrow…
Sears and son 6
I have more in this collection, but we will take a little break after todays post, and look at some other cards I have been making, and come back to these later. The paper and collectables are Sears and Son by Kaisercraft, and this is my favourite card out of all the cards I made with this 6 ” pad, and the matching collectables. I added some string, inked around all the edges, and found some googly eyes which just made the perfect gentleman!Another hot day here today, and a busy day at work so may just sit under the air conditioner and watch some t.v. before an early night tonight! Til tomorrow…
Sears and Son 5( mens cards)
I made good use of the collectables from the Kaisercraft Sears and Son collection on this card. String around the top for them to hang off, and a couple of Kaisercraft brads to hold the tag. The tag was die cut using a stampin up die, and the sentiment stamp, and cardstock were also stampin up.This is a good sketch for teenage boy cards, and it will be my go -to design for those really difficult cards! Til tomorrow….
Sears and Son 3 and 4
More cards on cards today – Sears and Son paper and collectables by Kaisercraft, and for these two cards I embossed some background cardstock using Tim Holtz Alterations embossing folder – Patchwork, which I lightly inked once it came out of the folder. I have spent a productive day in the craft room today playing with some new Prima paper, although I did make a little diversion when I realised that next weekend, besides being Easter is also mum and dads wedding anniversary and mine is shortly after so made a couple of quick anniversary cards. have also realised that we have at least 4 birthdays ( two of them 21sts,) in the next few weeks so will have to get organised for them as well! Til tomorrow…
mens cards made easy….
While on my cleaning up journey I stumbled upon a great amount of Kaisercraft Sears and Son papers, and packets of collectables, so of course had to sit and make a few mens cards – so easy with this paper. So easy in fact that there are a huge amount of photos of cards made with this paper collection to show , so I will break into groups over the next few weeks!this paper is still available, and perfect to stock up on for those tricky male cards1All I have used are the aforementioned papers and collectables, and a couple of odd brads I had lying around for these two cards. It is a super early post today, as I am teaching this afternoon ( third class this week!) and when I get home I want to head straight into the craft room as I have a few ideas buzzing around that i want to get down on cardstock! Til tomorrow….
Kaisercraft secret Admirer number 10
This card came about at the end of a productive card making session, when I had lots of strips left on the desk, and so I turned then into long banners, and added a collectable from the matching kaisercraft secret admirer range across the top. the papers are all from the 6″ pad, and I added some gorgeous kaisercraft flowers, a punched butterfly, bling strip and pearls to finish.Still have more cards in this series to show you, but I think tomorrow we will take a break and move onto something else for a few days.I have had a lovely day off work, and spent a few hours in the craft room. I have lots of ideas buzzing around, and can’t wait to get back in there to create some more! Til tomorrow….
