A little while ago my sister gave me some sheets of 12 x 12 cardstock which at first glance looked just white , but on closer inspection I noticed they had a clear embossed design on them, and Oh, what fun I have had adding colour to these plain sheets of paper! they are called Irresistably Yours by Stampin up, and for these first two cards I experimented with dylusion sprays. as the cardstock accepts the colour the embossed pattern resists it… it’s like magic! On cards I will post later I used inks, and then of course I had all this cardstock to turn into cards. The top card – Spellbinders fairy die. and punched butterflies and a prima flower. The bottom card – stampin up stippled blossom stamp set , ribbon and pearls.Til tomorrow….

Stampin up cherry on top and zoo babies stamp set
A quick break from secret garden.. here is a quick card I made for my great nephew’s birthday. The paper is Stampin up 6″ pad Chery on Top, and I stamped an elephant from stampin up zoo babies stamp set. I added a die cut balloon ( kaisercraft) and some ribbon and string to finish. The banner across the top was punched with an E K success punch. My sister Kay was showing me this paper, and the bits I used here were offcuts she had in her pad. I immediately saw what I wanted to do with them so I begged them from her, and then ended up purchasing a pad of my own!Til tomorrow…
A couple of special family makes

two cards today that I made with specific people in mind – that doesn’t happen often ,ususally I am making cards for classes, orders or craft fairs. The top card was for my sons’ birthday. the stamp set is from stampin up ( Guy greetings),as is the designer paper and I coloured the image with copics. My boys and husband run a wrestling company and gym so this was perfect for Daniel. The bottom card was for a kitchen tea,so I made an apron and popped a recipe card ( paper and recipe card by graphic 45 – home sweet home) in the apron pocket.Today I taught a lesson over at the retirement village, and enjoyed afternoon tea with my ladies. My sister came along to help and she gave me the new Stampin Up catalogue so I am looking forward to a night in front of the heater with my pen and notepad compiling my wishlist! Butterfly basics stampin Up stamp set
In the spirit of sharing everything I have posted this one – although even I will admit it is a bit too busy! if I repeated this one the big die cut butterfly ( spellbinders die) would be die cut from plain cardstock instead of patterned paper.I stamped greenery all over the card except in the middle where I stamped the sentiment, and stamped and punched out the little butterflies in a variety of coloured inks. sequins and beads on the big butterfly, this one is a keeper not a seller!I will decorate a frame and hang it in my craft room because I love the deep and meaningful sentiment. til tomorrow…
A bit of stamping…

For a bit of a change, today i am posting a couple of stamped cards, using some recent purchases from Stampin Up. Top card…Stampin Up background papers, and a great new stamp set called Butterfly Basics – lots of different stamps in this set , some great for background work, which I stamped in yellow, stamped the butterfly in pink and punched it out with a matching butterfly punch ( which I have had for a while)and coloured the flower with prismacolour pencils.Bit of lace, ribbon and bling finished that one. The second card… I used a big background stamp from stampin up called Something lacy, stamped some green fronds from Butterfly Basics, and again coloured the flower with prismacolour pencils.stamped and fussy cut the butterfly, added some buttons to the top corner, lace and a border punched with my Martha stewart lace border punch.Must find some time to play a bit more with this set – its so versatile! no crafting so far today, but I will spend an hour or two in the craft room tonight after tea just to wind down after a really busy week! til tomorrow….
Stampin Up Lotus Blossom stamp set

This stamp set from Stampin Up is a three step stamp set which means you stamp the flowers up in layers, laying the solid stamp down first in the lightest colour, and then the second stamp which has more petal detail second and the last layer which is really just highlighting in the darkest colour. The top card , which was inspired by a card I pinned to my pinterest board, uses all stampin up products including ribbon and patterned paper. The bottom cards have some cardstock punched with my martha stewart doily border punch. Nearly time to go to work, so til tomorrow……
Stampin Up Guy Greetings stamp set number 2…

As promised, the bottom card shows what I did with the extra hat and mustache I die cut with Sizzix top hats and Mustaches die set. So simple – only added googly eyes and a stamped banner greeting. the patterned paper was on my table,( not sure what company )and the cardstock was stampin up early espresso. For the top card I took inspiration from pinterest -when I buy a new stamp set I always have a look to see what other people are doing with it, and the first card made is usually a variation on one of these ideas, to get me into the swing of working with the stamp set. I find after the first card the ideas come naturally thick and fast! so, inspired by pinterest, but with a few different elements. I added some twine, stamped in early espresso ink ( stampin Up) and the cardstock is also stampin up – early espresso, sahara sand, and ivory confetti ( sadly the last one is retired, so no longer available). No craft room today – We are off out looking for new floor coverings… til tomorrow….
Stampin Up guy greetings stamp set
I recently bought a stamp set from stampin Up called guy greetings. I haven’t had nearly enough time to play with it as much as I want to, but have managed to make a few cards using it which I will show you all over the next day or two. It’s brilliant for mens cards, and I made this one for My younger son Daniel who will be graduating from University in a couple of months. The cardstock I used was also from Stampin Up – Early espresso, soft suede and very vanilla.I inked around all the edges for a bit of definition, and the hat is die cut from a sizzix die – Top hats and Mustaches ( tomorrow I will show you what i did with the Mustache!)I added a little frim around the hat for a bit of texture.A card is just not finished without texture!Hot,hot hot here today, so although I really feel the need for some relaxation in the craft room after a hard first week back at work, the day may be spent under the air-con duct reading a good book! til tomorrow…..
Secret Garden and Bloom with hope stamps
Still with the stamped cards, and for this card I used two stamps sets, Stampin up bloom with hope and Secret garden. I stamped the greenery straight on to my card base, and stamped the flowers separately onto scrap white card stock, and coloured in with kaiser fusion markers.I then fussy cut them out and stuck onto the card with foam pads of varying thicknesses. The butterfly is a spellbinders die and I used some liquid pearls for a butterfly trail!Til tomorrow….
Stampin up fabulous florets
While we are on stamped cards, I have a couple more to show over the next couple of days . These two were made with Stampin Up fabulous Florets stamp set. I stamped the greenery straight onto my cardstock, and stamped the poppies separately on scrap cardstock, then coloured them with my Kaiserfusion markers, and fussy cut them out. kept these ones very simple – just added a punched butterfly, ribbon bow and some liquid pearls. A lazy day today, with just some experimenting with embossing happening in the craft room this afternoon. Til tomorrow….
