silver bells side stepper card

IMG_2863 (Medium)A quick post tonight, while tea is in the oven! This is my simplified version of a side stepper card. i have played around with the measurements so that it fits in a normal c6 envelope for ease of posting, and its just one cut and a few folds. I did a class with these and everyone got the gist of them very quickly! In a couple of weeks when I am on holidays Nathan and I will do a youtube video with all the measurements! In the meantime for the decoration I used Kaisercraft silver bells patterned paper, and inked all the edges with tea dye distress ink, and added a lovely silk bow, and some lace on the very back panel.Oops theres tea ready.. til tomorrow…..

christmas satmping,colouring and die cutting

IMG_2846 (Medium)IMG_2847 (Medium)A break from pretty patterned papers, and a couple of cards made using different techniques. The top card is a base made from stampin up cardstock ( mossy meadow) and a new kaisercraft christmas tree die which i die cut from glitter cardstock. I decorated the tree with small baubles fussy cut from a piece of stampin up home for christmas designer paper. The second card is coloured with copics, and the stamp is one from C.C.Designs called candle light. a ribbon bow and sentiment stamped with a stampin up curly cute stamp and that one was done! what a busy weekend, but off now to the craft room for an hour or two to relax a little bit! til tomorrow….

stampin Up home for christmas, punches, and dies

IMG_2943 (Medium)The last few posts all have the designer paper in common, Stampin Up Home for Christmas, and this is the last one in this series for now.I have really enjoyed working with this paper as all the sheets were different from each other, with lots of fussy cutting potential, but all matched seamlessly. For todays card I fussy cut a poinsetta, and punched a couple of borders with my martha stewart border punch. I layered some paper, edged with ribbon, and die cut merry christmas with a kaisercraft die. A little cream bow finished. So quick, and easy to make quite a few at a time with this design. Taught another class today, this time over at the retirement village. The ladies are all christmas carded out so today we made some pretty female birthday cards.i am looking forward to spending alittle time in the craft room this evening, i have got some gorgeous vintage prima chrismas paper so I will be surrounded with ink, lace and ribbon. Can’t wait! til tomorrow….

using scraps for christmas…

IMG_2945 (Medium)IMG_2946 (Medium)After I had made a few of the previous card ( with the window die-cut)  I was left with lots of little white square off cuts, and never one to miss an opportunity i came up with these two cards to use them up. I fussy cut lots of little images from the Stampin Up home for Christmas paper, and arranged them on the squares. Some I left flat and some I mounted with 3d foam pads. A really easy way to use up the scraps! Great class today, we did gate fold cards using the gorgeous kaisercraft silver bells paper, and all the ladies enjoyed themselves, always a good thing! Til tomorrow….

Stampin Up home for christmas continued…

IMG_2947 (Medium)I thought we would continue on with this series ( stampin Up home for Christmas designer paper) for the next day or two, the papers in this range are all so different you would never guess all these cards were made with the same collection. Todays card uses some of the paper as the “wall”, and I put a piece behind the die cut ( memory box die) window. The tree , presents and holly were fussy cut from more sheets from this collection. The cat was stamped from a stamp set from stampin up called festive fireplace and coloured and cut out. I have been making more cards from this collection toady, because I haven’t even scratched the creative surface with this one, but it’s back to work tomorrow, got to love a long weekend though!Til tomorrow….

Stampin Up Home for Christmas designer paper..

IMG_2887 (Medium)IMG_2890 (Medium)A short break from the kaisercraft silver bells paper, and today  a couple of cards I made with Stampin Up designer paper Home for Christmas, and the stampin up woodland embossing folder. The top card is the simpler version, for the bottom card i stepped it up a little.wheres the paper you say? I cut these gorgeous little deers from the paper and created a little scene by adding some punched greenery and stamping and fussy cutting the little bird.To step it up a little on the bottom card I inked some of the raised embossing, and ripped up up some white cardstock which I stuck glitter toand then raised the pieces with some 3d foam pads on the lower portion of the card. I really enjoyed making these ones, my favourites by far this year! A lazy day today, prepared some lessons for november, and this afternoon I have been experimenting with my perfect pearls powder, adding some water to it and colouring ,it makes the most lovely shimmery paint and now I am off to put my finished painted pieces onto cards.Til tomorrow…..

Kaisercraft silver bells 7,8,and 9

IMG_2859 (Medium)IMG_2860 (Medium)IMG_2861 (Medium)3 cards today, all made with Kaisercraft Silver bells paper collection and matching collectables. I put these ones up altogether in this post as the are all following a similar design using the baubles from the collectables pack and the sheet of 12 x 12 paper ( which I fussy cut out). Silver ribbon and little bows for interest, and the greetings are from the papers. day off today and I am on my way to the dentist. Nothing major, just a little filling, but not fun all the same. Its a glorious day here in adelaide, much too nice to be stuck in the dental surgery! til tomorrow…..

Kaisercraft Silver bells 5 and 6

IMG_2855 (Medium)IMG_2856 (Medium)Kaisercraft Silver bells paper collection and matching collectables. The top card has a piece of 12 x 12 paper as the background, a collectable image and the greeting is from a piece of the 12 x 12 paper. a touch of ribbon and lace completes that one. the second card has a piece from the 6″paper pad for the background and the baubles are a mix of collectables and fusy cutting from a 12 x 12 paper.collectables for the greeting, and ribbon to finish.we will take a couple of days break from this series, so next time something different! we will return to these later in the week. Another lovely weekend gone by, and its a very early start for me tomorrow, so early to bed tonight, but might still mange another hour in the craft room! til tomorrow….

kaisercraft silver bells number 4

IMG_2869 (Medium)Kaisercraft Silver Bells paper collection and collectables. Again I have folded the front of my card base ( stampin Up cardstock) back on itself, and decorated with some of the paper from the 6″ pad. I edged all my paper with tea dye distress ink, and added a strip of lace and a ribbon bow to finish. a beautiful sunny day here in adelaide today, and Nathan has been outside picking bags and bags of lemons. We have enough lemon juice frozen to keep us in lemon cordial for a year, and have given many bags away.Thankfully we are nearly at the end of them now, and all the other fruit trees have lots of blossom so hoping for a bumper year this year! Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Silver Bells number 3…

IMG_2857 (Medium)Kaisercraft Silver Bells once again, this time the pink tones of the paper. I used the papers from the 6″ pad for this one, and as for the previous card folded the front of the card back on itself.Inside I used an image from a 12 x 12 paper ( which had room on it for writing your greeting)and added lace and ribbon. I also edged all around all the papers with tea dye distress ink. it was good to catch up with all my ladies at a lesson today, and one day of work tomorrow then the weekend! Til tomorow….
