Kaisercraft Mint Twist

And we are back to Christmas makes! Not too long ago I picked up a terrific bargain – I got the 6″ pad and matching collectables ( I think I bought 2 packs of them) in the Kaisercraft Mint twist range and from memory I only paid around $10 for the lot. A bargain when I made so many cards from this set. Here are the first two cards I made -top card just a ribbon bow and couple of rhinestones for texture, and the bottom card uses a piece of the paper pad which I fussy cut around, and a couple of the collectables.I matted the whole lot on to a piece of green cardstock.Til tomorrow….
stampin up wonderous wreath and fabscraps

The top card is made with Fabscraps patterned paper, and lace and ribbon, the second card uses a piece of the fabscraps paper as the background and I used stampin Up Wonderous wreath stamps, and matching framelits dies. The stamps are interesting – you can layer up the colours with different stamps, and then die cut the wreath with the matching die.The word Noel is also from the framelits die set and it comes with the word Joy as well. A handy set to have for christmas makes!I added some ribbon and lace to this one as well.I borrowed this set from my sister, but will probably invest in it myself as it is such a handy die set to have.Next time something other than christmas! til tomorrow….
Fabscraps christmas paper…vintage

Three cards this morning made with Fabscraps christmas paper. I bought a few sheets of this paper, one had images of tags which I cut out, and these pieces are the focus of the cards. Some stampin up cardstock, lace , ribbon, bling, and a charm on the middle card finished these vintage style cards. A couple more to show next time.. til tomorrow….
Embossing folders
These cards came about because I wanted to use the new stampin up cardstock – blackberry bliss and lost lagoon on a card together as I liked the way the colours worked. I also had some very slim embossing folders, probably meant to be used as borders, but here I cut thin white card strips and embossed a different pattern on each one. embellishing with ribon, flowers and buttons followed. I liked the look so much I tried the same sketch but with a christmas theme.Curly Cute stampin up greeting stamps finished all cards . Quick post today as I must get off to work.. til tomorrow…..

christmas cards using last years papers!

Here are some example of cards that I made with the leftover collectables from assorted kaisercraft collections from last year.I will show a few more tomorrow, and then we will leave christmas until the new collections start coming out although with so much still leftover I really have no excuse to buy them this year! The bauble cards are a favourite of mine. I haven’t spent a lot of time in the craft room this weekend, I have been busy doing some family research and have found it is very addictive! we had another power cut today so all card making plans went out of the window as I like a good light when I am creating.Til tomorrow…..
more christmas cards using last years bits and pieces
Christmas cards using last years leftover papers number 5
Tonight we are looking at using scraps that are a little bigger than the ones we have previously been using. Choose pieces that when used together will cover the whole of your card front, lay them out and match them up in a way that they look good together, stick them on your card front and cover the join with a border – either from the paper pad as I have or punch one or die cut one out. If all else fails use ribbon!layer up some die cuts from the paper pad and collectables add a ribbon bow and thats a few more scraps put to good use! Til tomorrow….
christmas cards using last years scraps number 4
Here is another idea to use up those little strips of patterned papers. I have cut some banners and grouped them together with a decorative brad, but you could string them across the top of the card for another look. a message die cut and ribbon was all that was needed to finish! tomorrow we will look at scraps that are a little bit bigger! til tomorrow….
