We are nearly at the end of this sketch series – one more to go after this . Toadys card uses my spellbinders nested lacey pennants, some stampin Up ribbon and sentiment, and of course the paper is Everyday enchantment by Stampin Up. The second card which closely mirrors the first uses American crafts Neapolitan paper, stampin Up daffodil delight trim, ribbon and flowers instead of the lace bow and the cardstock is Stampin Up calypso coral. My back is still sore, so nothing but a seat in front of the t.v. with a hot water bottle for me tonight!Til tomorrow….

Sketch series for using scraps number 7

here we are at number 7 in our series for using up scraps – only a couple more to go – I hope you are not too bored by now! For my trial card I stuck strips of varying widths onto a piece of scrap paper – printer paper I think it was – and hand cut a shape from it, cut a couple of labels from Spellbinders labels 14, and added seam binding and a hat pin threaded with an extra matching bead. The paper is Stampin Up Everyday Enchantment. For the bottom card I decided to cut the shape using a spellbinder die – the largest in Labels 17, but otherwise stuck faithfully to the sketch. the papers here are American crafts neapolitan. Speaking of which I decided last night to use up the remaining bits from my original 4 sheets and 8 cards later I have to say a fond farewell to Neapolitan! so finished another collection! 19 cards altogether from those four sheets of paper – I think I broke my record! My perfume of choice today is Deep Heat – very sore back that seems to come and go – so can’t sit for very long – no crafting today… Til tomorrow…..
Sketch for using scraps number 6

Up to number 6 in our sketch series for scraps. For this one I cut 5 2cm strips in descending lengths and cut a V into the ends. A border strip, seam binding and a tattered floral die cut ( sizzix) and pearl brad finishes this simple card. The paper collection is stampin Up everyday enchantment. The second card follows the sketch closely, but uses bought flowers instead of the die cut, and I stamped a sentiment in the corner. The paper collection is american Crafts Neapolitan, and the cardstock is blushing bride.Looking forward to an evening in the card room, Til tomorrow…
Sketch Series for using scraps number 5

Still working on our sketch series for using scraps, and here i have cut 3 2 cm wide strips at varying lengths and cut a V into the bottom of them, used my labels 14 spellbinders to die cut a couple of labels, layered them together and threaded seam binding through them and tied a big bow. Added a button and twine to finish. The paper is still my 2 pieces of Stampin Up Everyday enchantment, and I matted the design on to Stampin Up Pool party. for the second card I used American crafts neapolitan paper and substituted the seam binding for ribbon, and the button for a kaisercraft flower.here the cardstock is Stampin Up Certainly celery and blushing Bride. I am offf tonight to teach a class over at the Village… so looking forward to it – we always have a good laugh… Til tomorrow…..
Sketch series for using scraps number 3

Her is number 3 in my sketch series using scraps. The top card is everyday enchantment designer series paper by Stampin Up as is the cardstock – Pool party. I used my tim Holtz sizzix tattered floral die and cut some pages from an old misprinted book, a scalloped edge punch and a pearl brad. The strips were cut 2 cms wide, I varied the length just a little and cut a V into the bottom of them. The second card follows the sketch exactly, and I used American crafts Neapolitan paper, stampin Up crumbcake cardstock for the base and some Bazzil for the mat. This is a favourite sketch and I can imagine it done with some vintage paper and lots of lace instead of the scalloped edge….. Til tomorrow….
sketch series for using scraps number 2

Foe number 2 I had a rectangle of patterned paper which I cut into 2 cm strips, and cut each one 1 cm shorter than the one before it, and then cut the v’s into the ends to make banners. I punched some circles, and decorated a strip with an edge punch. I wrapped a ribbon around the whole lot and added a bow. The paper on the first card is Stampin Up everyday enchantment as is the ribbon which I dyed to match my paper. The second card, using American Crafts Neapolitan follows the sketch closely, but I substituted lace for ribbon and added a punched butterfly and some kindyglitz. The cardstock is Stampin Up Peach Parfait. A New Bo Bunny Enchanted..
I have certainly got my moneys worth out of this Bo Bunny Enchanted 6″ pad! This latest card also uses Sizzix Tim Holtz Tattered Floral dies, Nellies nesting dies ( Heart) by X – Cut, Prima Leaves, Magnolia Chanderlier Garland and the gretting is Stampin Up Perfectly Penned and Silver embossed.A Non Crafty day today, but I am heading into the craft room now to make some Baby girl cards with a cute new teddy Bear I picked up.On my travels today I did pop into Paper Flourish to see the new Prima papers – Really yummy and of course didn’t resist the temptation to buy so will be playing with them tomorrow. Bobunny Enchanted
Here is something completely different for me – Monochrome cards… This particular card was created for a relative that recently became engaged, and I used Bo Bunny Enchanted 6″pad, a matching brad and a pre printed label from a matching 12 x 12 paper. I added some flowers, pretty beaded ribbon and a prima leaf. I die cut a sizzix tattered floral from more of the papers from the 6″ pad. The greeting was stamped with Stampin Up perfectly penned. I would love a bit of feedback on these monochrome cards so let me know what you think! Til tomorrow…..
Victoria Gardens 5
Today for a change of pace we are dipping back into Echo park Victoria gardens patterned paper. Today i combined it with Tim Holtz sizzix die ( a favourite at the moment) and a bit of ribbon, and a kaisercraft sparklet. these sparklets are perfect for adding to the centre of these big flowers. The congratulatios stamp is from a stampin up set called well scripted. I like these stamps too, as they can be the focus of the card rather than just a way to add a greeting. I am still working on my xmas card class as I have had many interruptions as well as an enjoyable day over at Kays, sitting around the table with some good friends and chatting , swapping ideas, and of course card making!
