Cuttlebug card – white on white baby

IMG_0395 (Medium)No colour co-ordinating dilemmas on this card! i did go through a white on white phase a little while ago, and this was one of the cards i created. The embossing folders i used were cuttlebug swiss dots, and stampin up square lattice. I cut the banners at various lengths, and punched out four circles with a 1″ circle punch, and inked around the edges of them with pale pink ink. i used a piece of wool fibre across the top, some pink ribbon bows, and a prima lace rosette down in the corner. This one was so simple, but I love the effect of white on white for this card.I had a great time with my ladies this morning, and am looking forward to a weekend of crafting – the weather here is cold and wet, so a lovely weekend for crafting.. Til tomorrow….

Bold and Bright!

IMG_2859 (Medium)Today we leave behind the stamping, but stick with the bold andd bright colours! The scrap of paper I used for the flower stem is from Stampin Up Madison Avenue, and I used stampin up cardstock and matching ribbon – Tangerine tango and island indigo. The die used is sizzix  tim holtz rosette, and the embossing folder is stampin up chevron folder.I stamped my greeting with a stamp from the itty bitty banner set from stampin up in tangerine tango ink. This afternoon I have been busy making a new home card for an order, and I have some things laid out on the craft table ready to go for an ideas I have, but this weekend has to be about Fathers day cards ( just a few more to do) and xmas cards. Til tomorrow….

White on White Wedding card – cuttlebug

IMG_5822 (Medium)There is nothing quite so classical ( and Classy) as white on white. If I am making a wedding card and I don’t know the colour theme for the wedding I always do white on white. The key here is to use texture to make the layers stand out. So – that’s embossing folders ( swiss dots and Vintage wallpaper from stampin Up on this one) foam pads for height, and lace, ribbon, pearls and assorted flowers for mor texture and interest. The little strip of gold embossed paper is from Kaisercraft After  5 6″pad. Tomorrow I am setting up my craft fair stall, so post may be a little late, and I will try to stick to daily blogs over the weekend to let you all know how I am going, getting quite excited now! Til tomorrow….

Cuttlebug – Wedding Card

IMG_5817 (Medium)For the next few days I will show you some wedding and Engagement cards I have been working on for my craft fair stall. This one makes the most of my cuttlebug, and I used 3 different embossing folders – Tied together ( couture creations) for the main background, and swiss dots ( Cuttlebug) and Vintage wallpaper ( stampin up) on the Hearts which were punched out with a Stampin Up punch. Spellbinders Floral Oval for the wording, and a ribbon bow, flowers and pearls to finish. The cardstock is Stampin Up Pool party, and pink pirouette. The nice thing about this design is you can change the colours to match the wedding theme! Til tomorrow….

Cuttlebug card with punches

IMG_8828 (Medium)This is another village lesson card – the ladies gave me the embossing folder which they had purchased and asked for some ideas on how to use it.I embossed a piece of cream cardstock and then inked the raised areas with a green ink pad and sponge. The flowers were punched using a cosmos martha stewart punch and I added some bling and a ribbon bow, and mounted everything onto stampin up daffodil Delight cardstock. The butterfly was punched with a stampin up punch.I have been busy in the card room making some more class lessons, and preparing for my class later in the week, but when I go back in there later I will be creating with some new papers – can’t wait!

Cuttlebug card

IMG_8829 (Medium)This afternoon I taught a class over at the retirement village which reminded me I didn’t show you all the cards I taught last month over there, so here’s the first one – very simple – cardstock is all stampin up – Pool Party, blushing bride( which is the card base) and whisper white. The embossing folder is Stampin up fancy Fan folder, and the border punch used is martha Stewart lace doily punch. I found the middle of the embossed piece of cardstock , cut down 4 cms, and folded each cut back to create the V necked sweater. The buttons are craftworks craft candii, and liquid pearls for the necklace. Have a look at your embossing folders – I’ll bet one of them would work for this design!A lovely evening last night spent in the craft room, and I am heading in there again this evening as all my lot are busy putting on a wrestling show…..peace…..Til tomorrow….

Cuttlebug card – Mothers day

IMG_8824 (Medium)Today a card using my favourite pastel colours – white, pale pink and pale lilac. The spellbinders dies used are Timeless rectangle, and I added some prima flowers, satin ribbon and lilac liquid pearls. The sentiment which i stamped in chocolate brown is from a stampin up set – wonderful mother.Next time I do this one – and there will be a next time – I am going to emboss the background mat.I have had a hugely productive day in the craft room today – making boys birthday cards. I picked up 5 sheets of Bo Bunny  Surprise paper, and have so far made 10 cards with it – the ideas just keep flowing – got to love days like today! Til tomorrow….

spellbinders labels seventeen number 4 and 5

IMG_4277 (Medium)two cards today, a simple one on the left, and for the one on the right I die cut my label, cut it in half and placed the pieces on the top and bottom of my card. The images are from Kaisercraft Timeless collectables, and the paper is Prima Craftsman.Very hot day here in Adelaide, so won’t be visiting the craft room tonight – a night under the air conditioner is on the cards! Til tomorrow…

Spellbinders labels seventeen number 3

IMG_4281 (Medium)IMG_4282 (Medium)There are two views of todays card, because the is a bit of work on the inside as well as the outside! I covered the front of the card ( all papers used are Kaisercraft Miss Nelly) and used the spellbinders label seventeen to die cut an aperture. The piece that was cut out was stuck inside on top of some more patterned paper, and I added a couple of butterflies die cut from Cheery Lyn exotic butterfly small #2. just added some bright ribbon and bling to finish. This is a simple card to make but looks really effective, and I must remember to make more like this! Til tomorrow….

madison window die – christmas 2

IMG_4269 (Medium)This is the last card for now, that I have to show using my Madison window die ( from poppystamps). The brick wall background is my tim Holtz Bricked wall embossing folder which I inked before running it through the cuttlebug. As with yesterdays card I added a little lace behind the window for curtains, and I used a stampin Up christmas stamp for the view inside the window. The grass is done using the grassland die also from poppystamps.I have been so busy this week, not much crafting happening – I hope to get into my room tomorrow for a little while  – I am missing my crafting!
