madison window die

IMG_4276 (Medium)Nothing but headaches with my blog today – why do wordpress keep changing things, just as I learn how to do it the old way?Anyway,I bought some new dies a little while ago, -Madison window die and various accessories so over the next couple of days I will show you what I have been creating with them.Today I used kaisercraft Miss Nelly papers, and a Tim Holtz bricked embossing folder ( which I swiped with ink before embossing) for the brick wall.I used the madison window die, and backed it with some acetate, and more patterned paper. I filled the Poppy stamps window box die with flowers and leaves punched from my Martha Stewart punches and the Bike was stamped using a stamp from stampin Up Pedal presents stamp set. I hope this post makes sense – my computer has been moved into the room that my Galah resides in while the computer room is being painted and the whole time I have been typing he has been making the same tap tap tapping sound s behind my back – he is very distracting and highly entertaining – cheered me up no end!

Wedding Card

IMG_4191 (Medium)This is a wedding card I made for an order. I took the colours from the invitation, which often gives you a hint of the colour theme for the wedding, and always nice to be able to make a card in the same colours as the wedding theme. I used basic black and pink pirouette stampin up cardstock, and die cut two hearts using an x-cuts die, then ran  each heart through embossing folders – cuttlebug divine swirls and swiss dots. I also embossed the bottom panel on the card with stampin up Fancy fans, and die cut a spellbinder Fancy tags two for the sentiment which was a stamp from my stampin up curly cute set.The initials were cut using my cricut machine and storybook cartridge, and I finished it all off with ribbon and perfect pearls.Today I have been paractising my colouring with my new prismacolour pencils, and now I am off to put my coloured images onto some cards. Til tomorrow….

Pretty cuttlebug

Todays card is all cuttlebug. The cuttlebug folder used is folder that cuts and embosses at the same time, and I used a Stampin Up designer frames folder for the embossed oval behind, and an oval punch for the greeting. The cardstock is stampin up whisper white and pink pirouette, martha stewart butterfly punch, and flowers and ribbon to finish! Have received some orders today, so the next couple of days will be spent doing them – lucky they aren’t xmas as all that is packed away1 Til tomorrow….

Cuttlebug card 3

I hope all my american friends had a safe and happy Thanksgiving! Todays card uses some very old paper ( I think it’s daisy D’s) which I found in the back of a cupboard whilst looking for something else..and I gave my cuttlebug a workout as well. Here’s the list – Stampin Up – Pink pirouette, crumbcake, and whisper white cardstock, curly cute sentiment, ribbon , brad, and party blossom die.The rest – a circle punch, and spellbinders Picot edge circles and Classic edges 2 edgeabilities. Speaking of  which, a couple of posts down I loved a border that I used but couldn’t remember what it was – well there it is –  Spellbinders Edgeabilities classic edges 2 die . So glad I rediscovered it, and will be giving it a workout this weekend!I had a lovely morning teaching a class at Paper flourish, and while I was there I bought some Prismacolor pencils so I will be experimenting with them this weekend too, so plenty to keep me busy! Til tomorrow…

Card made with scraps and dies..

here is a card made with paper of an unknown origin, it was in my scrap box – I am tempted to say it’s crate paper, but it could well be Stampin Up – maybe someone could help me with that…anyway, I used a spellbinders border die to cut the zig zag, and  Stampin Up blossom party die, just using one of the flower heads for the flowers. Decorated with some stampin up buttons, and martha stewart butterfly punch, and the sentiment is from a stampin up set. This is a really simple design for a quick card, and I love it’s simplicity, not to mention the colours – I will be trying this one again! I have been organising myself for my lesson over at the village tonight, and I have also spent a little time planning all my January lessons – I am getting ahead of myself! Til tomorrow….

Purely Cuttlebug…

Todays card is made purely by utilising my cuttlebug and a couple of dies. The embossing folder is Cuttlebug Goochie script, and the 2 dies used are sizzix flowers – 3d ( for the flowers) and Cheery Lyn tropical flourish. I used stampin up cardstock, and did a bit of layering with Old olive,Pumpkin Pie and very vanilla, and just added a ribbon bow to finish. This is really a simple card, and would look good in a number of different colour combinations!I am all crafted out today, so i am going to have a bit of a break and watch some T.V. tonight! Til tomorrow….
