Howdy doody 2

As I mentioned yesterday, this is my favourite paper – My minds Eye Howdy Doody  – at the moment, and I didn’t want to cut into this piece, so I’ve let the paper speak for itself ! I die cut the heart with my x – cut hearts die, and went right around the edge with lace, gathering as I went. The greeting is a stampin up stamp from my blessed Mother set, stamped onto stampin Up pool party cardstock and punched out with a stampin up decorative punch. i just added a little kindyglitz to highlight some flowers, and a few drops of white liquid pearls. Spent this morning with Mum at the shops, stocking up on lots of lovely lace, and then trying on ( and buying!) some new clothes – she is a very bad influence – I am sure she thought she was on a commission from the dress shop! a lovely day…. til tomorrow….

Hummingbird 2…

Here is card number 2 using kaisercraft Hummingbird papers and matching collectables. The Greeting stamp is from Stampin Up, and I added a little lace and liquid pearls.A quick post tonight as i have to do some grocery shopping, and get organised for my Paper flourish class tomorrow… Time flies, it just seems like yesterday that i was donig last months class.. Til tomorrow…

A little bit of everything…

I have thrown a little bit of everything at this card, so my list is quite long – here goes – Bazzil cardstock for the base, Prima Sparkling spring as the paper collection used, a chipboard dress form covered in matching paper, press studs and old pattern instructions from my late grans box ( that sewing box is coming in quite handy!) my sewing machine, assorted lace, buttons and flowers, a label die and ribbon, and all the edges were inked with worn lipstisk distressed ink. phew…great excitement in the craft room tonight as I received my big box of goodies from Kay (stampin Up) today. What to play with first? My mind is spinning with ideas -it could be quite a long session in there tonight, but first I have to cook tea for the hungry hordes, so Til tomorrow…..

A different stamping techinique…

Todays card uses the lovely soft pastel papers from Melissa francis, and a couple of Martha stewart punches, flowers and lace. but the reason I put it up today was to show a stamping technique I used on it. I love the poem on this card, but it looked a bit plain when it was put together, so I stamped a tree ( from lovely as a tree – Stampin up) in versamark, and brushed some perfect pearls over the top. It gives a holographic effect – at some angles you can see the tree, and at other angles you can read the poem. This will possibly be mums Mothers day card, just because I love the the poem and I’m sure she will too. I am awaiting arrival of my second most amazing shelving unit so will be busy tonight filling it with papers! Til tomorrow….

Blossom party

A later post for me tonight as I have been out crafting with friends, and time just ran away, so here I am while tea ( late) is cooking…. I have done this card before in pinks, and I wanted to try a different colourway, and I like it! I have used – all stampin up cardstock – wisteria wonder, concord crush, and certainly celery. The die for the flowers is Sizzix stampin up Blossom Party, I punched the leaves with my stampin up bird punch, and I have used a Stampin Up vintage brad in the main flower and kaisercraft sparklet on the smaller ones.I think I might work my way through all my colourde cardstock making variations of this one as it’s so simple and looks effective. Welcome to my new subscriber, and til tomorrow…..

My new Dies!

I purchased a few new dies for my cuttlebug  a couple of weeks ago, and here I have used them all on the one card…. The paper I used is Kaisercraft Madame boutique, and I made the floral accent in the corner with my Martha Stewart deep edge punch and topped it with a resin flower from kaisercraft. The Doily die is Kiwi from Cheery Lyn designs, the scroll is Faunterleroy crest from memory box, and the ribbon buckle is Locina Buckle also by Memory box.

Great fun, I can’t wait til I have a bit more time to play some more with them… Til tomorrow…

Lil Primrose 4

This is the final card in my Lil Primrose series ( for now – I will make more with this paper at a later time…) and I used the 6″ paper pad and matching collectables from the same kaisercraft range. I added a little ribbon and some lovely lace at the edge of this one. Where has today gone? I spent over three hours sorting out my market boxes for this Sunday, and the time just disappeared! I am going to spend the rest of the afternoon in the craft room, it is still hot here in Adelaide, but I can only stay away from that room for so long! Nathan and I spent some time this morning taking photos of cards so will have some different ones to show over the next couple of weeks… Til tomorrow…

Sweet Nothings mothers day…

We appear to be back to cards I have made with Kaisercraft Sweet Nothings paper. I did show a group of cards made with this paper previously but have forgotten what number we got up to – I will have to research it before tomorrow nights post! Here I have used Bazzil cardstock, and just fussy cut elements from the 12 x 12 paper. All I added was a little kindyglitz .This card is actually a copy of one of my class cards, I taught 2 classes how to do it and then came home and did it myself! The little blue bird is a Martha Stewart punch. Til tomorrow…..

Sweet Nothings 4

I have been making cards with this paper all week and I still haven’t wanted to move on yet – I think its because there are so many different colours in the collection. It is kaisercraft Sweet Nothings and here I have used the 6″ pad and a couple of 12 x 12 sheets. The flower and leaves are from Prima and I added a little ribbon as well. Til  tomorrow…..

Sweet Nothings…..

Now I know we haven’t even celebrated Christmas yet, and here I am posting a Mothers Day card, but I need to make 100 Mothers day cards this year, and thought I would do a couple a week to keep ahead. This new paper from kaisercraft – Sweet nothings is perfect for Mothers day, and lately every card I do seems to have a lovely vintage feel to it. For this card I just used the 6″ pad and lace and flowers. I did ink every edge with Antique Linen Ink, and the leaves were punches from my trusty Stampin up bird punch. I love this collection of papers, and it may be one that I go back for seconds for! I have managed to get over a dozen male cards done today, so I am looking forward to getting out the bling and glitz after tea and creating a bit more with this paper! Til tomorrow…..
