Group of three cards

Today I taught a lesson over at Paper Flourish, and as ever had a good time, and some laughs with my group of mature ladies. Last Friday I taught a lesson at the retirement village and the three cards here are the cards we made. We used kraft cardstock, and Kaisercraft Blae and Ivy 6″ paper pad, along with nestabilities Labels eight dies, assorted flowers, ribbon, sentiment stamps, liquid pearls -platinum, and a stampin up bird punch. Well I only got three of my xmas cards made last night as I got distracted (who knew that would happen?) and ended up making quite a few non xmas related cards. I can see its going to be a long journey for the xmas card making! Til tomorrow…..

Pretty new paper and a bird punch!

Tonight we are still using the new kaisercraft paper collection – Blae and ivy. On this one I have teamed it with Stampin Up cardstock, and my stampin up bird punch, nestabilities label eight, white flowers died as in previous post, and some platinum liquid pearls . Very cold here tonight, and very hard to work up any enthusiasm to go through to that cold craft room! Til tomorrow….

Retirement village class card 2

Today has been a very wet day here, so I have been continuing on with my financial year resolution which is to use up all those bits and pieces leftover from older collections. its a very interesting exercise . I didnt realise how many more cards I would get out of those so called leftovers, so could still be trying to finish this resolution next year! Todays card is the second card we made in my village lesson last week. The flocked paper is by teresa collins, cardstock is Stampin Up cameo coral and basic grey, the embossing folder is craft concepts In stitches, Bird stamp is an absolute favourite from stampin Up Friends 24-7, the label stamp is from stampin up Just believe set and I also used nestabilities labels eight dies.I’m off to do a bit more creating before tea, til tomorrow….

Forgotten card!

I was browsing through some old photo files, and found this card which I think I forgot to post! I made it quite a while ago, using Stampin up cardstock – early espresso, river rock and baja breeze, and the stamps are from oxford expressions Nature collection. The Greeting is from a set from stampin up. Another cold evening here, so on with the heater, and a bit of crafting! Til tomorrow…..

Thinking of You

Tonights card uses Bazzill cardstock as the base, and Kaisercraft Secret Bird Society 6″ paper pad,and Kaisercraft wood flourishes – Birds. I inked the bird with Tim Holtz distress inks, and used a Stampin Up greeting stamp. The little butterfly was fussy cut out of the patterned paper.I really like this paper, and haven’t done nearly enough with it – maybe after xmas! I will sit and make a couple of cards tonight but I have bought a couple of new books ( A new Jeffrey Deaver – yay!!) so will be reading tonight!  Til tomorrow….

Bird on a branch

Tonights card is a very simple one. I used Stampin up cardstock – Mellow Moss and Old olive – and Stampin up stamp set ‘Bird on a Branch.’ The patterned paper was Basic grey “Mellow paper. Every one here is off to the gym, so I will be creating this evening  – Ah lovely! Til tomorrow….

Butterfly bling

Hi everyone! Today was photography day, and it has taken us most of the day. The light was playing havoc with Nathans settings, and we scrapped 2 tries, we had lights on, lights off, blinds open, blinds closed and at one stage Nathan even crawled under the dining table to get the perfect shot. He says if its overcast next weekend we have to get the tent out. Oh no! The tent is a white pop up tent, quite large, is a nightmare to fold back up again. Bring on the sunny weather! Doesn’t have to be hot , just a consistant light for an hour on Sunday morning would be fine…  I had one little scrap of Kaisercraft Flutterby painted lady patterned paper left over, and I haven’t been able to find any more of this design in my travels, so I decided to let it go with a bang, and a lot of bling! This is the result. The cardstock is stampin up Pretty in Pink, stamp is stampin up Whimsical words, and bling is kaisercraft and kindyglitz.

Time for a cuppa

Early post today because its shopping night!  This card  base is stampin up Riding hood red, with the cup and saucer cut out from Basic Grey’s Nook and pantry 6″ paper pad, the cupcakes are fussy cut from the same paper pad, and the  tea bag that is tucked in the top is a Twinings! This card could be used for a number of reasons – birthday, friendly hello or get well soon. See you tomorrow!

Thinking of you

Hi everyone, thanks for visiting. I’m a little late tonight as its shopping night, and I had preset my blog ( not sure of the correct term) but something has gone horribly wrong, and tonights post has ended up in the archives! anyway we will try again with a totally different card. This is stampin up cameo coral cardstock, with patterned paper from prima, Pastiche collection, “butterfly Wings” this is gorgeous paper and only needed a prima pebble and some kindyglitz. must go – there is shopping all over the kitchen floor!
