Today is Mum and dads 62nd wedding anniversary and the whole family is getting together to celebrate, so I thought it was fitting to post this card I made with Mambi happy 12 x 12 paper pad. I die cut the hearts from more paper of the same range, die cut some white greenery(!) with a seven paper dolls die, added a kaisercraft wooden piece that I had foiled with the go press and foil, and some flowers, rhinestones and ribbon bow to finish. I hope you are all having a happy and safe Easter. Til tomorrow…..

Oops missed one!Couture Creations..
I thought I had shown all my Couture Creations C’est la Vie makes, but I missed one! I think this is my favourite too! All the papers are from that colection, and distressed and inked around the edges.I found a few birds and butterflies to fussy cut from the papers, and the gate die and flower dies are also from the C’est la Vie range by couture creations. I inked up the die cut flowers with distress inks, and the brad in the centre of the largest flower is a stampin up vintage brad. I inked a little versamark ink across the top of the gate die cut and heat embossed with gold powder to experiment with aging the gate…I will be experimenting more with this idea. Assorted greenery was added, from bits and pieces on my desk from other projects. Thats all for today, Til tomorrow…..
Couture Creations C’est la Vie ( final for now)
This is the final in my Couture Creations C’est la Vie collection for now at least, and I have used a couple of the bits and pieces that are available with the collection, but the main thing here is the embossing folder which is also available as part of the collection. I tried a couple of different things on the embossed cardstock so this is truly one of Helen’s experiments! I used a Versamark ink pen to ink the wavy line and then heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. this technique needs a little more perfecting on this style of card but the “not so perfect ” look would be fine on a shabby chic card. I used some Antique Linen distress oxide ink on a sponge to colour the lower part of the embossed cardstock. I added random white flat backed pearls to the top part of the cardstock. At the moment I have my mind on May lessons, and will only be happy when I have a couple completed, so all crafting for the next while will be about that!Til tomorrow…..
Couture creations C’est la vie (3)
Today we are having a look at another card i made with Couture Creations paper collection, matching collectables and a couple of the dies from the same collection. I love the gate die which I tucked behind the tag, and the layered flower die is fantastic. I die cut it from cream cardstock and lightly coloured the layers with victorian velvet distress ink. the brad in the centre is a stampin up vintage brad. I have assorted greenery die cut with a kaisercraft die. I inked all my edges with Tea dye distress ink. Quick post today as I have just got home from work and have tea to organise! til tomorrow…..
Couture Creations C’est la Vie..(2)
Along with the C’est la Vie paper collection, Couture creations brought out dies and embossing folders under the same collection. The handmade flower with the Stampin up brad in the centre on this card is made with one of these dies. I coloured it with distress inks and a sponge, and brushed it ( as well as the other flowers) with a little Nuvo glitter paste. The die cut greenery is done with a kaisercraft die,and I added ribbon, lace and a butterfly ( from the bits and pieces pack from the same range). All the papers are inked with tea dye distress ink. This morning i have set up in the dining room..I am experimenting with foamarin and my Go Press and foil machine to make my own foam flowers, which will translate into a technique lesson at paper flourish if all goes well! Til tomorrow…..
Couture Creations C’est la Vie..
Before I went Cruising I bought some papers, dies and embossing folders by couture creations from their Cest La vie range. I didn’t get much time to play with all my new buys, but did manage a few quick makes. This card was the first one ..I think you can always tell my first card made from any range as it’s always quite simple and it is really just a testing out of how the colours work together. I added some lace and twill ribbon and one of my gorgeous resin frames which are getting very few in number..If anyone knows where I can get more of these please let me know!Til tomorrow….
Kaisercraft Oh so Lovely 4,5 and 6…

Three cards today because this post will be last one for ten days or so as I leave on my Cruise today. I am sure I have packed everything we will need for my craft classes, but if not we will improvise! Today’s cards are made with the Kaisercraft Oh so Lovely range and are the last three in this series. When I come back we will start a new series. On all three cards I relied heavily on the papers, just adding a little ribbon, lace and bling.Anyway, all stay safe until I get back! Bye for now…
Kaisercraft Oh so lovely..not a card!
My Cousin has headed off to England to spend a couple of years working over there, and I made her this frame to remind her how special she is! The paper collection is Kaisercraft Oh so Lovely, the flowers were Prima, but I have had them a long time, The acetate butterfly is from a kaisercraft sheet and I had the frame in my craft stash. I have just returned from the dentist where I had a filling replaced and I am wishing I had my cup of coffee before I went there.. I am off to look for a straw and then tackle the final bit of packing for the cruise. Til tomorrow…..
kaisercraft Oh so lovely 2…
I have had this paper for a while, but I don’t think I had done anything with it until I stumbled upon it in the craft room a couple of weeks ago.. I wonder how many more collections are hiding in there waiting to be stumbled upon? I have started teaching some Shabby Chic classes at work but I am only a beginner myself so I just practised a bit on this card. I distressed all my edges, and then inked with Tea dye distress ink, and up in the left hand corner I used some Nuvo Glitter paste through a stencil just to see how that would work..not badly as it turns out! I added some random flowers in the lower left corner and some of the collectables from the collection to finish. I received all my boarding information today for the cruise I am teaching on next week, craft suitcases are packed, not long now!! til tomorrow…..
another stenciled background..
Todays card is made with pieces of cardstock that I was experimenting with. I took some white cardstock and stenciled through a Kaisercraft stencil with Liquitex iridescent medium. It leaves a lovely pearly pattern on my cardstock. To make the card I just used whatever was on my craft desk which happened to be some Prima bits and pieces and a die cut fence and white ribbon. This morning we went and picked up a new puppy who we have called daisy, and at the moment she is getting to know our other puppy Luna. They will be best mates, I am sure, at the moment they are running around the back yard! Til tomorrow…..
