Country Roads…

I know that was a strange Blog Post title , but that is the name of this months paper collection from Uniquely Creative, and next weeks cards might explain the title better! I made these cards with the collection because I had an order to fulfill for teenage boys cards . I added some hessian for texture, and a couple of chipboard pieces for the same reason. It’s been another slow crafting week here, with extreme hot weather which is not good for the stability of my glue, but there is a cooler week forecast for us this week and I am looking forward to that! Til next time, stay safe…

Uniquely Creative Serendipity part 2..

This week I have a few more cards to show you made with Uniquely Creative Serendipity collection. I have also used the matching Creative cuts, and added all sorts of things! Bling, ribbon. lace, string pearls, sequins, chipboard, doilies and I even did a little stamping and stenciling! I have a few new papers to create with and I am looking forward to finding some time to sit down and relax with them! Til next time, stay safe….

Uniquely creative Serendipity..

January’s paper collection from uniquely creative was a pretty floral collection, and I have managed to make a range of cards from birthday to weddings which will come in handy in my stash.I have also made some simple cards just using the papers, and others that have a few layers and added lace and bling.I have inked the edges on some cards, and left some cards uninked, so lots of versatility achieved too. I have had great fun! It’s been good to have my hobby to fall back on to distract my mind from having my mum andf husband both in hospital at the same time ( both home now and recovering thank goodness) and my dad who is having a surgical procedure next Monday. It’s been doctors visits and hospital visits for the last three weeks, and glad everybody seems to be on the improve. Meanwhile I will keep crafting ! Til next time, stay safe…

A break from Dinosaurs!

Five cards today, all made with one collection..Uniquely Creative Ocean Breeze. This was a great collection because I could make quite a few cards in different categories, and there was lots of fussy cutting potential!I really didn’t add very much to any of these cards, one ribbon bow and a tiny bit of bling. A lot going on here this week, My mum and Husband are both now out of hospital and on the mend, so i might be able to get back to the craft table this week. Til next time, stay safe….

Uniquely Creative Wild ..last two

The last two cards made with the Uniquely Creative Wild collection are a total break from the Dinosaurs, much more feminine and very simple. I used an embossing folder on the top card, and some frondy leaf dies on the lower card. I haven’t done much crafting this week as my husband has been very ill in hospital. He is home now but very weak, so I am playing nurse. The one good thing is we are all out of isolation, so life will gradually get back to new normal. til next time, stay safe….

Going Wild with Dinosaurs!

I have had great fun creating a huge range of Dinosaur cards with Uniquely Creative Wild paper collection. There are many images to fussy cut and I have added little bits of colour here and there. I have two little Great nephews and these cards are perfect for them! As for life here we have two more days of self isolation, all tests have come back negative, and I am in dire need of hitting the supermarket! Til next time, stay safe….

Mintay Merry and Bright continued…

This week we are back to Christmas makes with Mintay Merry and Bright paper collection. I really haven’t added very much at all to the papers, some of the sentiments are from Uniquely Creative cut apart sentiment sheet, and the third card has a few Christmas themed flowers. In real time on my craft desk today is a new range from Mintay called Urban Jungle and I am going to start on that. For now though, til next time , stay safe….

A Break from Christmas…

This week I am taking a break from Christmas makes to show a few cards I have made from Mintay Beauty in Bloom. It’s spring here, and this paper collection is all about that. I haven’t added too much more than just the papers with some fussy cut elements, a little ribbon and lace of course! Another quiet week here, doing some sewing, reading, gardening and of course card making! Til next time, stay safe…

The last Once Upon a Christmas cards…

This is the last of my Uniquely Creative Once Upon a Christmas series, mainly because I have the new papers from them to create with, so i have put the rest of this one away and we will see it again next year! I have enjoyed creating with this collection because I have been able to do vintage style and more modern with it, as the=is group shows – the top two vintage style with lots of layers and lace, and the bottom card is much more modern with its pops of black and white. I can’t beleive its October already.. soon time to sit down and write out all those christmas cards.. I think we will be sending many more this year..so many people we haven’t been able to catch up with, and probably not before Christmas either.. a card is a lovely way to stay in contact. Til next time, stay safe …

Mintay Merry and Bright

Three cards today made with Mintay merry and Bright. The first two are very simple , with just fussy cut images from the papers, and the third card is an accordian style card with step down features. I have shown you a few different angles, so that hopefully you see what I mean!lots of images from the papers, and added flowers and a doily on this one! This week I have been busy drawing up patterns – I am going to get the sewing machine out and try my hand at some dolls clothes for my little great niece..I am looking forward to trying something a bit different, but i also have to prepare a lesson for the village ladies, so a crafty week is on the cards! til next time, stay safe….
