Glitter card and die cutting…

_MG_4615 (Medium) I was going to put up two cards today as I will probably be missing for a few days as it’s the craft fair this weekend and I will be there with my stall for three days, but this card has a few different techniques on it to explain…Firstly, layers of white, the top layer embossed with a stampin up embossing folder.I die cut the bride and groom from glitter cardstock, die cut the fancy border with a kaisercraft die, also in white, as was the die cut circle) The chipboard heart was foiled with my go press and foil machine, and a little flat backed pearl popped onto it, I made the flower spray  by creating the bunch and twisting the stems together. The leaf spray was die cut and I added a white ribbon. Although it looks like I spent quite some time creating the card all these bits and pieces were already on my craft table from other projects so it took no time at all and it is one of my favourite cards! Til tomorrow…..

Happy Anniversary!

_MG_9438 (Medium) Today is Mum and dads 62nd wedding anniversary and the whole family is getting together to celebrate, so I thought it was fitting to post this card I made with Mambi happy 12 x 12 paper pad. I die cut the hearts from more paper of the same range, die cut some white greenery(!) with a seven paper dolls die, added a kaisercraft wooden piece that I had foiled with the go press and foil, and some flowers, rhinestones and ribbon bow to finish. I hope you are all having a happy and safe Easter. Til tomorrow…..

Wedding Card…

_MG_6366 (Medium) Todays card is a wedding card which is a little different for me because I relied less on the papers( I just used a little Kaisercraft Romantique..the label for the sentiment and the gold embossed strip across the centre of the card) and I made my own background paper. I used Nuvo Gold glitter paste and brushed it through a kaisercraft stencil. This is so easy to do, and dries really quickly..so quickly that I suggest you wash your stencil straight away! I added some delicate ribbon and some gorgeous flowers from Iamroses. I brushed them with a little of the gold glitter paste. The sentiment is a Stampin Up stamp which I gold embossed. I have finally finished preparing my lessons for April, and today I hope to sit in the craft room and make some birthday cards I need for family and friends upcoming birthdays. It is finally cooler here ..not sure for how long but i am going to enjoy it while I can! Til tomorrow….

My Minds Eye In Bloom cards….

_MG_4270 (Medium)_MG_4271 (Medium)I am sorry I have been missing all week, but it has been horrendously hot here this week, and all any of us can do is find the coolest spot and just stay there! They tell us we have had a cool change, but it is 35C today, and that is still hot in my book!Anyway enough of that and on to today’s cards…These ones are made with papers from the My Minds Eye In Bloom collection, 12 x 12 papers, and /or the 6′ paper pad from the same collection. The papers are so gorgeous the cards really didn’t need any more embellishments. I loved this collection so much I actually framed one of the 12 x 12 pieces and hung it in my hallway! Heat or not today i amd definitely going into the craft room for some craft time!Til tomorrow…..

My Minds Eye In Bloom.

_MG_4266 (Medium) A natural progression from yesterdays card where I had used My Minds Eye In Bloom patterned paper as the background layer is today’s card which uses all My Minds Eye In Bloom paper. I die cut a gold foil heart, and added black lace and gold ribbon. Everything else is from the paper collection. Yesterday was very productive day in the craft room. I planned out my march classes, and started to experiment with some irridescent medium and stencils to make my own background layers that have a bit of a sheen. This is a work in progress but will share when i have something to show you! Til tomorrow….

Go Press and foil card number 2….

_MG_9102 (Medium)I do like an all white card, and this one has pops of gold all created with my Go Press and Foil machine. I foiled the sentiment, and some chipboard, added an embossed background, and added a couple of flowers and flourishes. We had an early trip to the airport this morning to pick up my son Daniel who is home from Sydney for a holiday, so i may be a little sporadic posting this week. Til tomorrow…..

PS I Love You..

This is the last of my Boxed cards. I made the flower spray, added some black accents to tie in with the sentiment which is a collectable from the PS I love you collection from Kaisercraft.Again this is a card that could be used for wedding, engagement, valentines or anniversary. This weekend has been very busy, with very little time in the craft room, but i will be in there this afternoon as I have a class to set up, I am trying to get ahead with them as the cruise is only 2 and 1/2 weeks away and I won’t be crafting then ( teaching, but no crafting!)til tomorrow….img_0727-medium

Floral sprays and a box..

Another example of my handmade floral spray used on a card. The papers are Kaisercraft PS I love you,and the die is paper rose Ornate circle . I used a collectable doily  ( from the paper collection) under the circle. This card could be used for wedding, engagement or anniversary..or even Valentines day!Quick post today as it’s awfully hot sitting here at the computer, I am going to find a nice spot under an airconditioning vent to sit and read a good book! til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Always and Forever number 4

IMG_5600 (Medium)Today we are going back to a series I started before our computer went on strike! The papers are Kaisercraft Always and Forever, and I have used papers from the 6″ pad here, die cut a variety of hearts and inked them with Tea dye distress ink.The glittery die cut is Kaisercraft Berry vine chopped up into pieces, and the flowers are Prima and kaisercraft. The Congratulations is a kaisercraft die. Today I have been preparing August lessons, and I have cleared my desk of outstanding projects, ready to start something new ,and wondering if it is too early to get a start on Christmas cards! Kaisercraft Always and forever

IMG_0610 (Medium)Kaisercraft Always and Forever paper collection. I have used this paper for my June Lesson at paper Flourish, and I have made lots of cards here at home with it ,so this is just a preview!I have done some fussy cutting – there is a whole sheet of printed doilies which are really easy to cut out, and I have added some prima and kaisercraft flowers. We are on the home stretch re stocktake at work, today I have a day off, one more working day and then holidays for two weeks! Yay!.Til tomorrow….
