Still with the whole Yellow and grey theme – this time I used the hearts in the Hearts a flutter stamp set and die set from Stampin Up and also the Chevron embossing folder from stampin up. The cardstock is Kiasercraft – Kaisercard, and the patterned paper and the tag are from My Minds Eye.Back to work for me today, so a lazy night in front of the tv is on the cards tonight! Til tomorrow….
My yellow and Grey experiment!
The other day I wanted to try a colour combo – Yellow and grey, so over the next couple of days I will show you what I came up with – although I don’t think I have entirely worked this combo out of my system, so later there may be more! I have used a mix of products here – The plain cardstock is Kaisercard – I had trouble finding a pale enough yellow in any other brand. The striped pattern paper is from My MInds Eye – Follow your Heart. The embossing folder is stampin up – Chevron, and the sentiment stamp is also stampin up from Itty bitty banners set. The bunting is stampin up Hearts a Flutter stamps and dies, and I used stampin up sahara sand ink and Ranger squeezed lemonade distress ink.I have saved the best til last – I found a new brand of die cuts for the letters – Die – Versions and the name of the die is Editor in Chief font. These are the best letter dies I have ever tried – the letters fall out of the dies, so excited that I went back ad bought the smaller letter set as well as the larger ones – I am all set now! This afternoon I have made a start on my xmas cards – early I know, but I plan to do a few a week, that way I am not stuck doing them for weeks on end the last couple of months of the year! Til tomorrow….
Very Blingy card!
This is a card I made for our cardmakers club challenge. We had to have a go at making ribbon roses, which I failed miserably! In the end I just covered a die cut circle with glue, piled on the ribbon and crossed my fingers, but oh well we all have our weaknesses and making ribbon flowers is mine! I do like the rest of the card though, and for it I used – Stampin Up Pink Pirouette cardstock, spellbinders D-Lite die – ornamental tags two, a cheery lyn die, and Melissa francis paper – C’est La Vie. I added lace, a bling swirl, large pearl and prima flowers to finish. I have had a good afternoon in the craft room today, and I am heading back there now to put my head down and come up with some Ideas for my August classes. Til tomorrow…..
Tea for two and Dress forms – stampin up number 2
Two cards today, and the one on the left uses all the same products as the card on the previous post, but I used Bashful Blue cardstock instead of Pink cardstock, and used a different piece of patterned paper from the Tea for Two range. The card on the right uses Attic boutique paper from Stampin up, and lace an d flower trim, also from stampin up.Same ideas – different looks! It’s a very cold afternoon here in Adelaide, the end of the working week, and I am looking forward to getting into the craft room this weekend – I haven’t been in there all week – it’s just been too cold to move very far from the heater! Til tomorrow….
Tea for two and Dress up – stampin Up
I have quite a list of things I used on this card – all Stampin Up except for a few at the end of the list! Here goes – The dies used are Blossom party die and Dress up framelits, the embossing folder is Honeycomb, paper is tea for two ( gorgeous range) the sentiment is stamped with a stamp from Itty Bitty Banners, and I used pink Piruoette cardstock and inked all my edges with the same colour ink. The flourish on the dress form was stamped with a stamp from Everything Eleanor in versamark ink and then I brushed on some perfect pearl powder – thats not stampin up as is the rest – Doily, rhinestones and large pearl. the ribbon is stampin up taffeta pink pirouette. Whew! I did enjoy creating this card, and I have another one in a similar style to show you all tomorrow. Til tomorrow….
Kaisercraft Porcelain rose 10 and 11 – The last….
Quick post tonight, as Tea is cooking as we speak! Here are my last two cards made using Kaisercraft Porcelain Rose, so tomorrow we move on to something new! I made good use of the collectables for these cards, used the 6″ pad for the backgrounds, and created a little scene using the border strips, chairs , flowers and tags ( which I used as pictures on the wall) I loved working with this collection, the colours were so varied, and the range of cards I made all looked different. I have none of these cards left now as they all sold at my craft fair stall.Off now to dish up tea, Til tomorrow….
Porcelain rose number 9 with acetate
This one was a hard one to photo so i hope you all get the general idea! I used Kiasercraft Porcelain Rose paper, and the gorgeous sheet of acetate that was released with this collection. The 12 x 12 ” acetate has a beautiful pattern all the way around it, with roses, and birds so I did this design a few times using every inch of that acetate! I cut the front of my base card off and replaced it with acetate, while inside I lined the card with paper, and added a little pocket with a journal card from the matching collectables so that you can write a message to the recipient. Back to work for me today, so bit tired tonight, and a night in front of the tv is all I will be up to! Til tomorrow…
Porcelain rose number 8, Anniversary card
I hope you are still with mme – this group of cards has been bigger than I thought! Still with the Kiasercraft Porcelain Rose paper, this time the 6″ pad and collectables, with just a little ribbon and kindyglitz to finish. A different colour again, but I love the background paper. I have been out this morning teaching a class, great time was has by all – especially me- they are very entertaining, my ladies! And now I am back in the craft room, still working on my lemon/grey cards.Til tomorrow….
An Engagement card today..
I made an engagement card with Porcelain rose ( kaisercraft) paper and a couple of the matching collectables. The die used is Spellbinders floral oval, and I added daisy trim and clear rhinestones to finish. I do like the black white and red colour scheme on this one. I have been busy in the craft room today, with more than one project on the go which is unusual for me – I do like to finish one ideas before I move on, but so many thoughts swirling around I had to get them all down and still have one colour scheme to try. lemon and grey – I think it will look ok but we will see! the other things I have been up to are two pieces of canvas art which are drying as we speak and quite a few cards using kaisercrafts new true Romance papers – gorgeous soft pastel colours on that one.Til tomorrow….
