Countryside number 3

IMG_7228 (Medium)For card number 3 in my Stampin Up Countryside stamp set series, I have used (all Stampin up) early espresso, very vanilla and crumbcake cardstock, and stamped the water pump in early espresso ink. I swiped my crumbcake ink pad over the woodgrain embossing folder before running the crumbcake cardstock through it.A bit of layering, piercing, some linen thread and a button, and it was a quick and easy card! The sentiment is a Hero Arts stamp called happy birthday.I spent some time in the craft room today planning out my February lessons, all male cards for February!,but it’s time to break out the ribbon and bling tonight! Til tomorrow…..

Countryside number 2

IMG_7227 (Medium)For this second card I have stamped the water pump image with Stampin Up cajun craze ink, and distressed all edges. The little piece of patterned paper is from Stampin Up Well worn  designer paper, and it’s mounted on River rock cardstock, which is also the card base. The background is Stampin Up early espresso cordinations, and I used my Sizzix tim holtz  Bricked embossing folder and sanded it back.Thats it for today, til tomorrow….

countryside Number 1

IMG_7226 (Medium)helloo, and I hope everyone had a safe and happy Christmas. For my next few posts I am going to show some cards I have made using a new stamp set from Stampin Up called Countyside. It is my favourite stamp set for men and every time I get it out I think of more new ways of using it!For todays card I have stamped and coloured the truck image with prisma colour pencils ( I am still practising with these, but they are going to be a favourite way of colouring once I get the hang of them), and have stamped a couple of stamps from other sets on the sides of my card in black, then coloured the whole card with distress inks. The dies used in the foreground are Grassland border by Poppiestamps, and spellbindedrs wrought iron .The cardstock is Stampin Up old olive.I ahve been out of the craft room for the past few days, but will pop in there tonight to start working on Februarys class cards. Til tomorrow….

scrapbook layout – prima sun kiss

IMG_7240 (Medium)IMG_7241 (Medium)I often get asked, as a cardmaker do I do any scrapbooking, and the answer used to be no, but just recently I have tried my hand at it, and thought I would show my 3rd ever scrapbook layout! The papers and chipboard pieces are from Prima Sun Kiss collection, and I mounted my photo twice onto bazzil cardstock.a little stampin up ribbon trim and some websters pages bling  and that was it – Oh and a fair bit of my favourite – fussy cutting! I know a lot of scrapbookers become card makers to use up their scraps, but I think it is more difficult to go the other way – I find it’s easiest to imagine you are making a huge card and just follow how you would achieve that. The second photo is a close up of some of the fussy cutting involved.I am not sure if I will get time to post over the next couple of days, so I would like to wish all my followers and regular visitors a very Happy and safe christmas and see you all in a couple of days! Love Helen…
