Here are 2 really simple cards using Kaisercraft 6′ pad – Turtle Dove and the matching collectables. I added ribbon, perfect pearls and kindyglitz to complete .I have been working on some canvas art today, but have packed it away to make some male themed cards – I have been avoiding them for a while, but have got some ideas to try out so I will spend a little time today to get them down on paper ( or should I say cardstock!) Til tomorrow…..
turtle dove 1 and 2
I have only made a few cards with this collection ( Kaisercraft Turtle Dove and matching collectables) so far, but thought I would show you what I have done so far…. For the first 2 I only used the 6″ pad, along with the matching collectables, and added a little ribbon, flower, and a christmas charm from a packet of Bo Bunny Rejoice buttons. A busy day today, but I am looking forward to spending a little time in the craft room tonight – doing what? I have not decided yet, we will see where my imagination takes me! Til tomorrow….
A Ladies Diary Number 11
A Ladies diary paper by Graphic 45…. also used the matching chipboard and stickers on this card, and added a little lace and some authentique vintage buttons picked up from an op shop! I have been making great inroads into my christmas cards over the past couple of days – I still have to make close to 60 more, but there is light at the end of the christmas card tunnel. Nathan and I spent this morning taking photos of my latest cards, so we will start on them tomorrow. I have enjoyed playing with a few new christmas papers, so can’t wait to show you all! Til tomorrow…
A Ladies Diary number 10
I found a previously unseen folder in my files, so thought I would show a few cards from it over the next couple of days before we move onto all the cards I have been making while on holidays! My favourite paper here – A Ladies Diary by Graphic 45,- it’s actually out on my table as we speak – I have made a mountain of cards with this paper and never get bored of it! Here I have teamed it with bazill cardstock, tim holtz tatttered florals garland die, and a stampin up stamp from the established elegance set which I cut out and tucked behind the flower. My poor craft room looks more like a storage facility so today I moved out to the dining table for some serious card making – spread all my new papers out and away I went – it was very successful and I got alot of cards made – it’s all packed up now so no-one will ever know! Til tomorrow…
Cosmo Cricket Evangeline
I only bought a couple of sheet of this paper to make this card for my Auntie who is really not a pink blingy lady.It is Cosmo Cricket Evangeline – Rose and Dandelion. I fussy cut all the flowers and butterflies out of the Rose paper, and the dandelion sheet was good for backing paper. I found the acetate frame in my box of bits and pieces, and die cut the greeting with Spellbinders label fourteen out of some Bazill cardstock. The greeting was from my Stampin Up Perfectly penned set.It has been a lovely day here, and I have spent some time sitting out in the sun – lovely! Til tomorrow….
Canvas art number 1
As a bit of a break from cards ( just for today) i thought I would show you all something I have been experimenting with – Canvas Art.I have a few stamps that are shown off to better advantage when used in a scene like this, and it’s been in my mind for a while to try something like this. I used tim holtz ranger distress inks to colour the canvas background, and then stamped directly onto the canvas with some stamps from Oxford Impressions In the Deep. I stamped and coloured the fish seperately onto cardstock and stuck them onto the canvas, and added some netting, string and a brad for some added texture. I edged the canvas with Viva metallic paint in Gold.Hope you like my little diversion – back to cards tomorrow! Til tomorrow….
Christmas 2012 phrase…
Last one for now, we will revisit christmas after a short break! Here I have again used Stampin Up be of Good Cheer designer paper – did I say how much I like the rich colours of this paper? and matched it with stampin Up Cherry Cobbler, very vanilla and Wild wasabi cardstock. I embellished with kindyglitz, ribbon, bakers twine and my Ek Success border punch – sorry can’t recall the name of that one -.The Noel was die cut with my cuttlebug using a Sizzix basic grey die called Phrases, Noel. The paper is Stampin Up Be Of Good Cheer, and the greeting is a stamp from the Welcome Christmas stampin up set. embellishments used were – bling strips, craftworks candi ( gold), Rouge perfect pearls, lace and ribbon. Looking forward to spending a couple of hours in the craft room unwinding tonight – Til tomorrow….
Christmas cards 2012 – simple…
Very little christmas purchases used on this one! The cuttlebug folder is Winter Tress, and I used my Tim Holtz embossing diffuser to leave an oval at the bottom plain so that I could stamp straight onto the cardstock. The stamp used came from Stampin Up Welcome Christmas, then all I had to do was add some thin gold ribbon, and die cut a flower from my Die – namics Upsey daisies die. I used stampin Up Chery Cobbler and handsome Hunter cardstock to try to make it look like a Poinsetta. had a lovely morning with my Ladies this morning, and spent a little time this afternoon in the craft room, mainly looking for things – I have to clean that room out!Til tomorrow…
Daydream Medallions – christmas card 2012
I took the idea from yesterdays card and stepped it up a bit on this one – still using the Daydream medallions stamp set I stamped a couple of medallions in shades of green, and fussy cut them out, layering the on top of each other, The image on the top of the stampin up craumbcake cardstock is from my stampin up Welcome christmas stamp set as is the greeting. Inks used were stampin up cherry cobbler, wild wasabi, certainly celery and crumbcake. The paper is Stampin up designer paper – Be of good cheer, and even the ribbon is stampin up!Not often I make a card that is all from one company!Til tomorrow….
