Daydream Medallions and Christmas…

I found a way to use my new stamp set from Stampin Up – Daydream Medallions – on a christmas card. I love it when I can adapt everyday papers and stamps for christmas – it saves a bit of money to then spend on other crafty things! I embossed a cuttlebug folder using a Tim Holtz set 1 diffuser, which leaves that lovely flat surface in the centre for stampin on, which I did with Stampin Up wild wasabi ink and one of the medallion stamps from the above mentioned set. I inked around the edges of my card, and wrapped a little wild wasabi ribbon, and added holly  with Rouge perfect pearls. I am looking forward to spending an hour or two in the craft room tonight unwinding … til tomorrow…

Prima Zephyr number 4

I wasn’t paying attention but I think this is the last in my Prima Zephyr collection ( until I find the rest of the paper!), and on this card I teamed the paper with the journalling notecards and chipboard pieces.I also used my memory box La Rue flourish die, and stampin up cardstock, ribbon , sentiment stamp and blossom party die. Quick post tonight as it’s grocery shopping night – Til tomorrow….

Prima Zephyr number 3

Hello and welcome to my recent new subscribers. If there is ever anything you want to see more of, or need clearer instructions, or just want to say hi, please feel free to drop me a line!Today we are still on my Prima Zephyr patterned paper collection, also using the matching journalling notecards and chipboard. The rest of this paper still has not turned up in my craft room, but it is in there somewhere, so one day in the future I will stumble upon it and get to finish using it! On this card I also added a flower, ribbon, hat pin and the greeting was a stamp that was free on the front of a magazine – it seemed to fit so well!Today I have been in the craft room making baby boy cards – I had 3 sheets of paper, and so far I am up to card number 7 with them – I am going to run out of paper before I run out of ideas  – next weekend I will get Nathan to photo them so I can show you all! Til tomorrow….

Prima Zephyr number 2

Here is the second in my Prima Zephyr patterned paper series – not sure if there will be any more when I have finished showing the ones in this file as I have searched the cratf room ( Twice!) for this paper, and I can’t find it – time for a big spring clean I think!. Anyway – also used here are the matching chipboard pieces and the journalling notecards ( fantastic for this sized card) and I added a flower die cut from the same paper using the Stampin Up Party blossoms die, a La Rue Flourish die  ( memory box) some Kaisercraft rhinestones, and a butterfly punched with my martha stewart punch. Tonight it’s all about Baby boy cards – I have none left in my boxes, so I will spend a lovely evening in the craft room playing with everything blue!

Prima Zephyr Collection

I feel in the mood for something bold and bright this afternoon, and this card fits the bill nicely! The paper, chipboard and Journalling notecard are all from the Prima Zephyr collection, and the sentiment and Pool Party seam binding are from stampin Up.The butterfly was die cut using Memory Box Moonlight and Kaliedascope butterfly  dies, and I used a little bakers twine as well. I kept the canvas keys til last because these are something new I found and I love them.  They are Prima  resist canvas ( the pack these came from was the clocks, gears and keys pack). Its a pack chock full of die cut shapes, and when you colour them – I used a tim holtz ranger ink pad and a blending tool, there is a pattern that resists the ink.  I bought the pack with the birds in it too, which I haven’t used yet, but may get the opportunity now that my week – end has started – Yay!So looking forward to getting into the craft room and playing wiht all my new paper purchases! Til tomorrow….

Chest of Drawers Baby cards

Since i taught this card in a lesson last month I have had a lot of positive feedback on it, with many comments from mu ladies saying they have made quite a few more for other people. I think I posted previously the one we made, but since then I have experimented a little and turned them into baby cards, which is what is shown here. The cardstock is Stampin Up pretty in Pink, Bashful blue and whisper white, and I have used buttons and candiworks candi for the drawer handles. I think what people like is the shape at the bottom, which I achieved by using a labels 17 ( although in my class it was a labels 16, but any spellbinders label die with the shaped top will give you the same look) . You fold your cardstock in half and pop the die just on the bottom of the two thicknesses of card, and there you have a nice shaped piece of furniture!.No crafting for me tonight as I have another class to teach – two in one day – it’s great! Til tomorrow….

christmas cuttlebug card

This is the third in my spellbinders Lacey pennant christmas cards. I also used a cuttlebug embossing folder and spellbinders oval die. the paper is from Stampin Up – Be of Good Cheer, as is the wild wasabi ribbon. I finished it off with perfect pearls – Rouge and some kindyglitz.I have created a couple of different things this week, and I am hoping Nathan can photo them this weekend. Tonight I will be busy packing my craft bag – I am teaching 2 lessons tomorrow, so a busy crafty day ahead! Til tomorrow….

Be Of good Cheer…

This is the second Christmas card I made using my Spellbinders Lacey Pennant dies. The designer paper is Stampin Up Be of Good Cheer, as is the cherry cobbler cardstock and bakers twine.I threaded the twine through the loops of the pennant, and will try this idea again when I find some glittery thin gold ribbon – I think that would look effective. I am working on some different projects this week, but pretty tired after work so not getting very far… Til tomorrow….

Christmas using non xmas items!

So after I made yesterdays card, I looked around the craft room to see what else I had that could be adapted to Christmas cards, and found my spellbinders Lacey pennant dies. When turned upside down they looked like christmas trees to me, and this is what I came up with – I have a couple more which I will show over the next couple of days. The cardstock is Stampin Up Cherry Cobbler, and the embossing folder is a cuttlebug brand. I used my Tim Holtz embossing diffuser ( number 1) to keep the centre clear of embossing, and die cut the pennants from Stampin Up Be Of Good Cheer designer paper. The ribbon is also Stampin Up Wild Wasabi.I used a few dots of perfect pearls Rouge on the tree at the forefront.Til tomorrow….

Lovely as a tree christmas 2012

Here is a card I made using non christmas stamps that I had in my craft room. The cardstock is stampin up handsome hunter( sadly retired – such a good christmas colour, lucky I stocked up!) and Very vanilla, and the inks used are handsome hunter and certainly celery. I used my versamark pen and perfect pearls Forever Green on the tree at the forefront of the card to give it some sparkle. The little sentiment is from Stampin Up Petite Pairs stamp set. Nathan and I did a youtube video which is here, to show how I achieved the whole tree in front look. Much easier than explaining it in words! Til tomorrow….
