A late post today as I have spent a lovely afternoon over at kays playing with all her crafty stuff ( she’s got some good stuff!)and I have come home in the mood for stamping, so after this I will spend a little while in the craft room digging out my unused stamps looking for new ways to use them. Tonights cards are still my Prima Songbird group, I loved the strips of birds balancing on top of each other,so didn’t alter them to much.The cardstock is a retired stampin up colour, and the sentiments are from various stampin up sets.I distressed all the edges, annd sponged them with Tim Holtz Antique Linen, then just added seam binding, liquid pearls,and prima flowers. Prima Songbird number 1
Yesterday while I was teaching my lesson I discovered that the new Prima collections were in store, so I purchased quite a bit of paper! When I got home I realised that I hadn’t even cut into some of the previous Prima releases, and so today I rectified that! I decided that I couldn’t touch the new stuff until I had at least played with some of the older collections and took out all my Prima Songbird paper ( which only turned out to be 4 sheets – not sure why thats all I bought of this collection – it’s gorgeous – I can only think that by the time I saw it this is all that was left of it) . Anyway I had 4 sheets, One was immediately fussy cut into lots of bits and pieces, which left 3 pieces for backing and matting. I made 11 cards, and that is another collection finished.Over the next couple of days I will show all the cards I made with my 4 sheets, as Nathan was very obliging and photoed them for me this afternoon – a couple of them were still drying! This card was the last one I made and it’s my favourite. I had very little paper left, so dug out my stamps to come up with this one. The bird stamp is stampin up young vermillion ( a favourite), and the leafy background is from the stampin up just believe set. The with love greeting is from stampin up field flowers set. Inks used were stampin up certainly celery,choc chip,baja breeze, and ranger tim holtz antique linen. I added white seam binding,prima flowers,and white perfect pearls to finish. I am on a creative roll now, so am heading back into the craft room to start on another collection. Til tomorrow….
Thank You card
Still using the Fine and Sunny kaisercraft range of papers and collectables today ( the last one) and I stamped the sentiment with a Stampin Up stamp from the Perfectly penned set. I dyed some seam binding and tied it a ribbon and added it to the top of the card.We had a lovely lesson today, and my girls did a great job of following my garbled instructions! The great news is that I am doing a few extra lessons next month, so giving up my other job is a goal that is getting closer! Til tomorrow….
Fine and Sunny
That title is not a weather report for us here in Adelaide. As I sit and type we are in the middle of a storm, and it is freezing! Still maybe if I type it enough it will happen – so – The papers I used on this card were Kaisercraft Fine and Sunny, and the tower of birds were in the matching collectables pack. I used a Martha Stewart Punch to decorate the edges of my paper,and just added some kaisercraft rhinestones to the little birds eyes. I am teaching a class tomorrow at Paper Flourish, so tonight will be spent getting my craft bag organised. Til tomorrow….
New Home card
I found a group of cards that I made a couple of months ago that I haven’t posted, so I thought I should put them up before we start on all the cards I make using next months new releases.Quite a few of my favourite companys have papers coming out – I won’t know where to start!Tonights card is os simple using kaisercraft Fine and Sunny 6″ paper pad and a few of the matching collectables to make a little scene. Perfect for a New Home card.Quick post tonight, as it’s shopping night – been a very busy week, and haven’t been in the craft room, and can’t see myself getting in there before the weekend . Baby Girl cards
I made these Baby Girl cards a little while ago, but forgot to post them – The one on the left is a box style card, and both cards use a scrap of Bo Bunny paper I had left over from a collection I once bought. The Bear is a Hot off the press stamp which I stamped a couple of times onto pink patterned paper and then cut out and paper pieced to achieve a 3d effect. I mounted it on a Spellbinders picot edge cirlce die in white. The rest of the card was easy – just some flowers,ribbons and buttons to complete the look! Til tomorrow….

I chose this card to show tonight, because I think it shows a nice layout ( sketch) idea that you could adapt for any card. I have started with a base card of stampin Up early espresso cardstock, and the papers I have used are kaisercraft The Lake House ( this is card number 12 for those of you counting!)The first layer was cut only a little smaller than the base card, and I used a circle punch to chomp out the corners. The next layer was quite a bit smaller, and again I chomped the corners.I used a pre printed panel from one of the 12 x 12 sheets in the collection,and stuck a collectable across it, but you could achieve the same look by using your dies and cuttlebug. All that remained was to die cut some flowers ( I used Stampin Up blossom Party and sizzix tim holtz tattered flower garland)Â add a grey satin bow, and a bit of perfect pearls.I am still thawing out from my day at the market, and as it was a very early start ,it will be early to bed for me tonight! Something girly and feminine for a change!
I have posted something similar to this in the past, but I was in need of bling and colour today, and this was a very recent make, so here it is! All supplies here except the flower,lace and ek success punch are from stampin up. The cardstock is Pool party, the gorgeous paper ( so lovely I had to buy more) is Attic Boutique,and I fussy cut the bodice from one of the sheets. I created the dress with very wide lace from Spotlight, and added 2 strip of narrower lace across the top of the bodice.The ribbons are stampin up pool party and cherry cobbler.I created a tag abd stamped the greeting from my Stampin up petite pairs set. These stamps are great for little tag greetings.It is very cold here in adelaide today, but I have put on the heater in the craft room, and intend to unwind in there for a couple of hours this evening! Kaisercraft sears & sons Fathers day card 5
This is the last in this series for a little while because I feel in the need of something frilly, and blingy! Kaisercraft Sears & sons paper and collectables for this one, and I swiped all the edges with my tim holtz weathered wood stamp pad. A bit of string around the top for the bunting, and all stuck onto Stampin Up not quite navy cardstock.I have prepared all my market boxes, and I have a terrible feeling that after Sundays market I will be making more fathers day cards. I thought I had enough, but have already sold quite a few, so next week it’s back to mens cards!I have a village class tonight, and we are making christmas cards, so quite looking forward to that. Fathers Day Sears & sons card 4
There are 2 photos tonight – the second photo shows what happens when you turn the Tim Holtz ideology game spinner on the front of the card.The paper is Kaisercraft Sears and Sons, and I liked the strip of paper that had the sentiment on it so I turned it into the focal point of the card – hidden messages are great! The cardstock I used is Stampin Up early espresso.I used a couple of the collectables from the matching pack to decorate the very front of the card.My orders are complete, so I hope to do a little bit in the craft room tonight, but then it will be time to get organised for my Market stall on Sunday.
