I have been busy today getting my boxes ready for the market on Sunday. If you are at a loose end Sunday morning come down to Adelaide produce market at Pooraka and say hi! I have a few cards to make for the above mentioned boxes, I didn’t realise I was so short on young ladies cards,so will be busy tonight while the boys are at the gym. Tonights card is a bit of fun, made with stampin up chocolate chip cardstock and Basic grey Mellow collection and matching diecuts. I mounted the die cuts on to the choc chip cardstock and cut around them to stop them from blending into the background paper.I will always buy at least 2 different papers from the same collection so that I have colour co-ordination but sometimes ,like tonights card, the colours match too well. I did break my 2 paper rule not long ago and only bought 1 sheet – what a disaster – you will see those results in a couple of weeks time! (Once the photographer has taken his photos). Til tomorrow…..
80th Birthday
Tonights card is one I made for an order, and I used a Le Suh 3d sheet on it. I make a lot of 3d cards, but I don’t put them up on my blog because I don’t employ a lot of skills to make them, but this one turned out a treat so I though I would share. The cardstock was Stampin up Bravo Burgundy and Websters Pages patterned paper, a prima flower, kaisercraft pearls and kindyglitz. I hope this makes sense, my whole space has been invaded by my whole family. Why do they all have to be in the same square metre as me? I much prefer the nights they all go to the gym! Aren’t I terrible! Til tomorrow….
Lovely as a tree
A couplr of weeks ago I showed you all a card my friend Sandy made, using a chalked background, something I had never tried, but was keen to have a go at when I saw Sandys beautiful creations. Here is my first attempt. I stamped Stampin up stamp Lovely as a tree onto acetate, and chalked a white piece of paper and placed it behind the acetate. I used satampin up cardstock – Bashful blue and 7 Gypsies patterned paper, and cut an aperture for the acetate, and 2 blingy leaves finished it off! Another quick post as I have an order to make tonight – another baby card! I have made 3 for orders so far this week – I will have to stock up on my pink and blue patterned paper and cardstock cos I have just about run out! What a great excuse to go craft shopping on Friday! Til tomorrow….
Cricket
A couple of Fathers day cards, this time using Stampin Up stamp set – Just Cricket – a very handy stamp set to have, Stampin up cardstock – Riding hood red, and Bo Bunny patterned paper, and Kaisercraft paper – Pack your bags collection.I stamped the images on different coloured cardstock, 3d’d some of them and then cut them out. Quick post tonight as I have a couple of orders to make up. Til tomorrow….
Wedding
A Kind word
Wasn’t today glorious! I spent some time sitting out in the sun, just enjoying – it brought back memories of long ago ( well , quite long ago!) summer school holidays that seemed to stretch on forever, playing cricket in the street, mud pies in the back garden, and Dad hitching up the Sunwagon, all of us crammed into the car heading off north  to the Flinders Ranges to admire the wildflowers! So I thought it would be a good day to show you these cards I made with Stampin Up stamps – A Kind Word. I also used stampin up cardstock – Pretty in Pink, and Kaisercraft patterned paper Little Miss and Little Man. I used some Bazzill cardstock , kindyglitz and flowers from my craft supply. Lets hope for more days like today! Til tomorrow….
Fairytale
I saw this paper and couldn’t resist it!I have made 2 different shaped cards here, but used the same idea on both of them. The paper lends itself to fussy cutting beautifully. The patterned paper is 3 bugs in a rug –Â Savannah magical castle, fairy princess and bibidi bobbidi booo, and I also used Bazzill cardstock, my nestabilities circles, and cuttlebug, Kindyglitz and a corner rounder. Today Kay and I did our embellishment class with the card ladies at the retirement village, and a good time was had by all! I have to say, I have never seen them so quiet! They were totally engrossed and concentrating, the time flew and they all went home with lots of lovely embellishments to decorate their cards with. Our next joint project is in October when we will be doing an all day card making class to make xmas cards to send over to the troops, for them to then send on to their loved ones. The ladies love doing these kind of cards, and before Mothers Day they made over 80 cards for the troops to send home so I would say they will be aiming for over 100 this time! Thats a lot of cardstock and paper so I will have to go through my xmas box to see what I can donate to the cause!Til tomorow…
Dad
Tonights card is made with the new Kaisercraft up up and away papers and matching stamps. I also used Stampin up Mellow Moss cardstock, and stampin up ink pads – choc chip, old olive and really rust. I used a metallic pen to draw in the string from the balloons, and the balloons were stamped twice, cut out and layered on the card. Still cold, but the heater is on in here again, and it will be another fun night of card making!
40th Birthday
I can’t believe how cold it is tonight, but I have fired up the heater, and I’m ready for some serious card making. Market Sunday is only a week and a bit away, and I have to replenish my boxes. On Saturday I have a joint class with Kay, where we will be teaching our ladies how to make their own embellishments, so no cardmaking for me then! Tonights card was made with the last bit of Prima patterned paper (I did love that paper!)Pistiche collection and Stampin up cardstock – Black and Bazzill cardstock – cream for the shoe. a bit of bling and Kindyglitz, and done !Keep warm, and I’ll see you tomorrow!
