Collectable, ruffled ribbon, bows and a bit of bling to finish. Another day or two stocktaking at work, then a few days off ..I will need it! til tomorrow…..

Say Aloha number 2

IMG_7728 (Medium)Kaisercraft say aloha paper collection from the 6″ pad, and the matching collectables for this one.I used a black cardstock base, and die cut the Birthday using a spellbinders die, and matted it on more black cardstock and fussy cut around it. A busy day today, finished off my July classes and got all my gear together ready for next weekends three day fair. I am glad all that’s done as this week is going to be very busy at work – it’s stocktake so I will be counting all week, squeeze in a class on Thursday morning, and back over to work to complete the counting Thursday afternoon.Thankfully Friday is a day off! Til tomorrow…..

Kaisercraft say Aloha number 1

IMG_7731 (Medium)The other paper collection I bought this month was Kaisercraft Say Aloha. With its bright bright colours and gorgeous flamingos I just couldn’t resist – I am always looking for something colourful at this time of year when it is so cold ,wet and dull here! For this first card I have used a mix of the 12 x 12 papers, 6″ pad and the collectables. I die cut a vellum butterfly,a scalloped circle, and added a kaisercraft paper flower. In the 6′ pad there are a couple of sheets with greetings on them so I die cut one of them out for the sentiment. Today I spent a couple of hours making a few quick cards for the craft fair next weekend, the time has come around so quickly this year, hopefully I have made enough…almost too late now to worry about that!! Til tomorrow…..

Kaisercraft scrapyard 2 and 3…

IMG_7720 (Medium)IMG_7724 (Medium)here are two more cards made with kaisercraft scrapyard paper collection, and matching collectables. On the top card I have stamped and heat embosed a vintage car from stampin up guy greetings stamp set, added some masculine trim and layered the collectables on top of each other for the sentiment ( the great cog shaped ones on the bottom had sentiments that I didnt want to use, so this was a great way to add more interest). The bottom card makes use of the identity strip across the bottom of one of the 12 by 12 sheets ( which had the handy birthday greeting), and again I have used the collectables as the feature on this one. day off today, so did the grocery shopping, a doctors appointment, and a quick run down to Paper Flourish to check out new papers etc for upcoming lessons. I saw the new kaisercraft releases for June ..Beautiful, particularly secret garden which is just gorgeous! Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft scrapyard 1.

IMG_7719 (Medium)This  month Kaisercraft released a collection called Scrapyard – perfect male themed papers. Here is the first card I made with this paper . I punched out the flags with a stampin up punch, and the rest was just the papers . I added two linen thread bows, and a couple of little copper circle stickers on the collectable greeting. Must be off – a full day of work ahead of me..til tomorrow…..

Back to kaisercraft Pop!

IMG_6521 (Medium)IMG_6522 (Medium)I have made quite a few cards with this paper collection – Kaisercraft Pop!,but it’s a collection that  I pick up, make a few and put it away for a week or two, then get it out again. Not sure why, I think it’s because the cards made with this really have to be clean and simple, and I don’t do clean and simple easily!Anyway here are some that I made a little while ago, and most of the elements on these are from the sticker sheet.Today Nathan and I did some photo’ing of cards, and I prepared a class for July. There is nowhere near enough time for me to get ready for the craft fair in a couple of weeks so my posts my be intermittent for the next couple of weeks. but still, til tomorrow…..

Three more Wedding cards

IMG_6532 (Medium)IMG_6537 (Medium)IMG_6536 (Medium)Here are the final three of my wedding card series – the top two cards are made with kaisercraft on this Day paper collection, and the bottom card is a mix of papers I found in my drawer, and prima flowers and some punched leaves. I think the flowers on the top two are also Prima, and of course ribbon and lace used liberally on all cards! Today I have been putting together some Prima doll stamp cards, and mulling over ideas for my July classes. can’t believe I am already thinking about july – where is this year going? Til tomorrow…..

wedding cards.

IMG_6524 (Medium)IMG_6527 (Medium)IMG_6531 (Medium)I will apologise for the quality of the photos first thing – we had terrible trouble with the light – and have discovered that morning is a much better time than afternoon for taking photos in my dining room! The first card I have posted twice as neither photo is really clear, but hopefully with the two of them you get the gist! I heat embossed in silver the stampin up marry me stamp, and did some embossing with a cuttlebug hearts embossing folder. I added prime flowers, leaves, martha stewart leaf punched leaves, and a ribbon bow to finish. the second card is a crossover front card again embossed with the cuttlebug embossing folder, gold heat embossed sentiment, and assorted flowers, leaves and pearls to finish. I will show a couple more wedding cards next time – I had to make a few for a commission. I taught a great class this morning, always good to see my ladies, and now I will have to start thinking about what to cook for tea…Til tomorrow…..

younger boy cards

IMG_6505 (Medium)IMG_6507 (Medium)Younger boy cards today, the top card is made with some October Afternoon paper which was forgotten  in a drawer, and although it doesn’t show in the photos I have fussy cut a couple of the ducks to pop on top with foam pads for a bit of a 3d feel. The bottom card was also made with some paper found in the same drawer, and I can’t tell you the brand name as the identity strip had been cut off! This paper had little cute animals printed over it so I die cut a couple of them out with my spellbinders circles die, and I punched some scallop edges out of plain cardstock with my stampin up borders punch.Off to work now…til tomorrow….

A quick and simple one ..

IMG_6504 (Medium)A really simple card today that started with the negative piece of a kaisercraft leaf flourish die cut. After I made my card using the die cut I looked at the scraps left and this blue piece of bazzil where I had cut out the shape was the perfect size for a card front. I backed the piece with more scrap – a piece of brown bazzil this time, stuck on a few flowers, a ribbon bow, mounted the whole piece on a card base. A quick card done in about 5 minutes, and no more scraps on the table! I have finally managed to spend a couple of hours in the craft room today finishing up a few orders, and creating some great bright cards using kaisercraft Say Aloha paper collection and some stamping and colouring thrown in as well. The colours in this collection brightened my day!Til tomorrow…..
