stampin up wonderous wreath and fabscraps

IMG_8487 (Medium)IMG_8488 (Medium)The top card is made with Fabscraps patterned paper, and lace and ribbon, the second card uses a piece of the fabscraps paper as the background and I used stampin Up Wonderous wreath stamps, and matching framelits dies. The stamps are interesting – you can layer up the colours with different stamps, and then die cut the wreath with the matching die.The word Noel is also from the framelits die set and it comes with the word Joy as well. A handy set to have for christmas makes!I added some ribbon and lace to this one as well.I borrowed this set from my sister, but will probably invest in it myself as it is such a handy die set to have.Next time something other than christmas! til tomorrow….

I bought a few sheets of this paper, one had images of tags which I cut out, and these pieces are the focus of the cards. Some stampin up cardstock, lace , ribbon, bling, and a charm on the middle card finished these vintage style cards. A couple more to show next time.. til tomorrow….

Princess cards – Echo Park patterned paper

IMG_8471 (Medium)IMG_8470 (Medium)In between christmas cards i made some little girl cards last week with  a couple of sheets of paper by Echo Park called Princess. I fussy cut the images from one sheet of paper, and made use of the identity strip at the bottom of the sheet by making the princess banner on the top card and using the crown printed one on the bottom card.I added plenty of bling and glitter, and ribbon to finish both cards. well the weekend has flown – I am certainly missing having Mondays off!Til tomorrow….

Embossing folders

IMG_8489 (Medium) IMG_8490 (Medium)These cards came about because I wanted to use the new stampin up cardstock – blackberry bliss and lost lagoon on a card together as I liked the way the colours worked. I also had some very slim embossing folders, probably meant to be used as borders, but here I cut thin white card strips and embossed a different pattern on each one. embellishing with ribon, flowers and buttons followed. I liked the look so much I tried the same sketch but with a christmas theme.Curly Cute stampin up greeting stamps finished all cards . Quick post today as I must get off to work.. til tomorrow…..

3 cards with stampin up Flashback designer paper

IMG_5490 (Medium)IMG_5491 (Medium)IMG_5494 (Medium)The one thing these cards have in common is the designer paper – Stampin Up Flashback.for the first one I followed the pattern and cut my paper in half, stamping the greeting in between the two pieces, ( stampin up Sassy salutions greeting stamp) and addind a splodge of colour with red ink and Stampin up gorgeous grunge. The second one makes good use of my stampin up Honeycomb hello stamp set,and I cut some banners from the paper. the third card was an experiment using up the bits of paper leftover from the other two cards, punched hexagons, stuck them on the cardstock and ran it through the big shot with my stampin up hexagon embossing folder. Today is my new day off, so have done the weekly shop and I am off to have a well needed hair cut! Til tomorrow….

Graphic 45 by the sea

IMG_5482 (Medium)A quick post before I leave for work this morning.. Graphic 45 By the sea paper collection with lots of fussy cutting and layering. The cardstock is stamping up, and that’s all the products I used on this one. Love this range but haven’t had the time to really create with it yet, too busy with christmas cards! til tomorrow…..

Another stamped and watercoloured….

IMG_5479 (Medium)This one isn’t as dark in real life – the blue of the card and die cut oval ( spellbinders floral oval) is a denim blue… not sure what happened there nathan the photographer must have been having a bad day! Again the stamped image is from a freebie stamp set on the front of a magazine, and I watercoloured it with Tim holtz distrss markers and an aqua brush.leaves are punched with a martha stewart punch and the flowers are mini flowers by Kaisercraft. The patterned paper of the background is forget-me-not by kaisercraft.this weekend has been spent finishing off my October lessons, and making some vintage christmas cards.I start my new department and new hours this week at work, so will have to see when I fit my blog posts in – it might be easier to do them in the mornings before work now, so we shall see what works. til tomorow…..

Stamping and watercolouring with tim holtz markers

IMG_5481 (Medium)i have been on a mission to make some little girl cards, and I found this stamp stashed away – it came off the front of a magazine, but its very good quality, and I thought it was quite cute! I coloured her with tim holtz distress markers and an aqua brush ( not confident enough to use a paint brush), and the rest of the products – spellbinders timeless rectangle die, kaisercraft paper and mini flowers, martha stewart leaf punch, and stampin up cardstock and ribbon. For those of you intersted , I have done a you-tube video testing out the new spellbinder tool for Paper Flourish ( yes I get to play with new products and let you all know what I think – best job ever!!)You can see it by going to http://www.paperflourish.com.au and clicking on the blog button! til tomorrow….

kaisercraft pitter patter birthday cards

IMG_5488 (Medium)IMG_5489 (Medium)IMG_5495 (Medium)the last four cards in my Kaisercraft Pitter Patter collection are birthday cards and I have only done a couple of cards so far using the pink themed papers in this collection.i used the sheet of patterned paper that had the hexagons design for the top two cards, and added ribbon and flowers, ( cardstock is stampin up pool party) and for the bottom two cards I used my Prima dolls stamps, and couture creations retro flower die, pearls and martha stewart leaf punch. I punched the leaves from cream paper and sprayed them pink with some pink fireworks spray to give a mottled effect. til tomorrow….
