Welcome Baby..

_MG_4604 (Medium)Another Panda card today, and this one is for a newborn baby. The stamp set is party pandas by Stampin Up, and I have used a couple of Seven Paper Doll dies ( stitched rectangles and words) to complete this one. I added a pretty bow, flower and some sequins to bling this one up a bit!I have been busy at work this week so not so much crafting, but I have spent this morning stamping out some flowers onto watercolour paper so that I can practise with my new Zig clean colour markers this afternoon when I am over at Mum and Dads place. The Cruise line contacted me this morning asking if I would like to be their Art/craft instructor again this year so I am having a look at the cruise for this summer and working out which one(s) I can commit to. It’s all good fun! til tomorrow….

Two quick baby cards….

_MG_4249 (Medium)_MG_4250 (Medium)As i was searching through papers for another reason altogether I came across a couple of random baby papers, so sat down and made a couple of quick baby cards. I am not sure of the brand of paper for the top card, which I just cut into strips and layered and added a die cut sentiment, cut out of glitter cardstock. The bottom card is Kaisercraft papers, again layered with a fussy cut rabbit and ribbon and pacifier ( I obtained the pacifier from my nieces baby shower…she was using them in one of the games we played and I collected them all afterwards..I see handy bits and pieces everywhere!). It is another hot (42 C) day here today, but I am off to Paper Flourish for my craft and chat group monthly get together. We will have a lovely afternoon crafting and chatting surrounded by lots of lovely inspiration! Til tomorrow….

Peek a boo baby girl..

img_0705-mediumimg_0706-medium Two cards today because I have been missing on the blog this week, had a few Dr’s appointments to sort out my knee which has been playing up. Turns out it’s arthritis, so I will just have to get used to it,I am just so relieved it isn’t a cartlidge problem again!Todays cards are made using Kaisercraft Peek a boo in the girls colours. I also used the Kaisecraft dies for the pram and the word baby.I used  a matching collectable to pop into the pram on the top card, and for the bottom card I punched a circle and added googly eyes to represent a baby peeking out of the pram ( I like this one – the fun nature of it). Went to town with the lace , ribbon and buttons! Day off today so i am off to the craft room to sit and relax for a couple of hours at least, til tomorrow…..

Simple Strories Hello baby 4 and 5

IMG_8468 (Medium)IMG_8469 (Medium)Here are the final two cards in my Simple stories hello baby series, although I do have paper left so we will revisit at some stage! As before, all product used is from the simple stories range with the exception of the cardstock which is from stampin Up.( and the ribbon which is from my rather large stash!)On to something different tomorrow – maybe some cards using some older paper that I was attempting to use up! til tomorrow….

Hello baby – simple stories

IMG_8465 (Medium)My niece is expecting a baby boy shortly, and so my sister and I made her a baby album using the hello baby range of papers from simple stories, and I was left with all the pink bits. what to do but make cards with the leftovers! so for the next couple of posts its all about baby girls! Here is the first  using the matching die cuts, chipboard, enamel dots, and a ribbon bow. I made this one a tent fold card and rounded the bottom corners.Today I have managed to spend a little time in the craft room, inbetween cooking and cleaning and have been jumping between xmas, mens cards and engagement cards using some of the stamp sets I have that havent been used yet. I am off in there now to see if I can use up one whole paper  range in one sitting! Til tomorrow…

zoo babies welcome baby cards

IMG_5866 (Medium)IMG_5867 (Medium)To finish off this series I have done a few welcome baby cards. The stamp set is Stampin Up zoo Babies, and the ink, and cardstock are also from stampin up. The embossing folder on the boys cards is from stampin Up – hexagons, and I am not too sure of the girl card embossing folder, but possibly couture creations!.tomorrow we will start a new series, today I visited paper flourish and picked up two new kaisercraft collections – hello sunshine and telegraph road, but probably won’t get a chance to create with them this week,as I am a bit busy organising myself for my trip to Perth at the weekend. til tomorrow….

Cuttlebug card – white on white baby

IMG_0395 (Medium)No colour co-ordinating dilemmas on this card! i did go through a white on white phase a little while ago, and this was one of the cards i created. The embossing folders i used were cuttlebug swiss dots, and stampin up square lattice. I cut the banners at various lengths, and punched out four circles with a 1″ circle punch, and inked around the edges of them with pale pink ink. i used a piece of wool fibre across the top, some pink ribbon bows, and a prima lace rosette down in the corner. This one was so simple, but I love the effect of white on white for this card.I had a great time with my ladies this morning, and am looking forward to a weekend of crafting – the weather here is cold and wet, so a lovely weekend for crafting.. Til tomorrow….

Bundle of joy number 7

IMG_8852 (Medium)This is the last in my Kaisercraft Bundle of Joy series. For this one I have used Kaisercraft 6″ pad for the background, and an image from a 12 x 12 piece of paper. The flowers and butterfly which I edged with pink ink come from the collectables pack that matches the paper collection, and I added lace trim and a ribbon bow. Something completely different tomorrow.. til tomorrow…..

BUndle of joy number 5

IMG_8850 (Medium)hello, missed  my post yesterday as we had no power in the morning, and then when it came back on ( finally) we had no internet, which has only just now been restored, so we may have 2 posts today! I have jumped back to my kaisercraft Bundle of Joy series, as my sister has requested that the rest of this collection be posted – this one uses the paper pad and collectables, and some ribbon and flowers. The pretty oval was die cut using spellbinders floral ovals.I also inked around all my edges for definition. Til tomorrow …. or maybe later today…..
