As well as the greens and muted pinks and reds , there was also blue tones in this collection, so I separated out the colours and the next couple of cards are made with the blue tones. I used the 6″ pad for the background piece, as well as the die cut bracket, and inked all the edges with tea Dye ink. The bird image is another image from the matching 12 x 12 pull apart sheet. The flowers are from Green Tara, and I punched out some leaves. This card is one of my favourites because I love the mother bird feeding the chick, and it makes a lovely Mothers day card. Our weather here in Adelaide has cooled right down, and we have a little bit of rain too, it’s glorious!I am meeting up with my sister this afternoon to go over our excursion choices for our cruise…it’s really happening! Til tomorrow….

kaisercraft true romance 9 and 10 – stepped up..
This is an interesting one tonight – Kaisercraft True Romance paper collection, and matching collectables on both cards, but the card on the left is a simpler card, and for the card on the right I stepped it up by adding lace and a doily, and making a tag.I inked around all pieces with a pink ink pad.Thats it for this collection for now, tomorrow we will have a look at something new! Til tomorrow….
Mainly cuttlebug 7
Todays card is one I made, being inspired from a craft magazine, but I didn’t have any of the dies they used so I adapted what I had here. I think it turned out quite well…The list of products used – Prima Sparkling spring papers, sizzix die – tatttered florals, leaves punched with Stampin Up bird punch ( wouldn’t be without that punch!), birdcage – cricut cartridge “Serenade” and lightly inked, spellbinders – Bird sanctuary ( for the birds which I sponged inked for colour) and Twisted metal tags. I hand cut the branch and lightly inked it, and finished with kaisercraft pearls and perfect pearls. Now today I am finishing off and order and then I have 4 new paper collections to play with over the week end so looking forward to a crafty weekend! Til tomorrow…..
Birds and Cages!
These are my kind of cards! The paper is gorgeous to work with – Prima Botanical collection, and perfect for backgrounds on cards like these. I used my cricut and the Serenade cartridge to cut the birds and cages in a couple of different sizes, then sponged the cages with Tim Holtz tea dye ink, and stamped the birds with a swirly stamp in versamark ink and brushed on some perfect pearls powder which brought up the swirls a treat! Also used were asorted flowers, leaf punches, lace and ribbon. Great fun! Til tomorrow…..
Avairy Stamps
Now straight away I have to say I got the inspiration for this card from www.astampingjourney.wordpress.com. In particular I loved the idea of sponging through an oval punch off cut to ground the birdcage. I have added a few of my own touches, and removed some design concepts from the original, but the colours used are the same. I used Stampin Up rich razzleberry and pretty in pink cardstock, and Avairy and Cheep talk ( for the sentiment) stamp sets.I also used a Stampin Up embossing folder. Today has been a day of great excitement as my order from Ohmycrafts in America came today so I have a new Cricut cartridge and 3 paper collections to play with! There is definitely not going to be enough hours in the day this weekend!Til tomorrow….
