Graphic 45 Time to Celebrate 5 and 6

IMG_4990 (Medium)IMG_4991 (Medium)It is a very versatile paper, this Graphic 45 Time to celebrate.. so far we have had wedding, baby, and now graduation and little girl birthday! The top card has lots of fussy cutting, and a bit of layering. the bottom card is much simpler with just a bit of ribbon and lace to decorate. I taught a class this morning, and normally when I get home I go into the card room feeling all inspired, but today is just far too hot, – about 38C at the moment, so I will be found curled up in my chair under the air conditioning reading a book! Til tomorrow…..

IMG_3193 (Medium)IMG_3195 (Medium)Here are the last two Bo Bunny Isabella cards before we go back to Christmas cards. On each of them I have enhanced the papers with kaisercraft pearls, ribbon, flowers and on the bottom card  Bo Bunny cameo frame.well, it was my first day back at work today after a couple of weeks off, so a bit tired tonight, and just planning to sit in front of the tv! Til tomorrow….

Bo Bunny Isabella numbers 2 and 3

IMG_3190 (Medium)IMG_3192 (Medium)Love the colours of this paper – Bo bunny Isabella. The cardstock is stampin up as is the sentiment stamp, and I have used a variety of flowers, mainly Prima on the bottom card and the bunch on the top card is Manor House. Martha stewart leaf punch, ribbon and liquid pearls are the rest of the supplies I used.I had some new stamps to colour last night, and today I have spent an hour or two in between housework making up cards with the finished colouring.Til tomorrow…..

Bo Bunny Isabella number 1?

IMG_3189 (Medium)A bit of a break from christmas cards ! This is Bo Bunny Isabella, I am sure I have already posted some cards made with this paper but I can’t find them so I have started the count all over again! Love the colours of this paper, and I have teamed it with some pretty flowers – the large one from Manor House, and the smaller ones are Prima. Also used stampin up cardstock and sentiment stamp, and martha stewart leaf punch and liquid pearls. I had a relaxing time in the craft room last night, and sorted out 2 of my December lessons – just a couple more to do – I think I am doing and extra class in december – a night class so that will be something different!nathan has been experimenting with lighting when he does my photos – let me know what you think! Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft garage days number 6

IMG_8542 (Medium)A quick and easy one today – Kaisercraft garage days and stampin up totally tools stamp set. I didnt want to cut the image down to fit my card front so I left it just a little bit higher than the card front. I thought I would loose too much of the effect if I cut it down and it turned out ok!nothing else on this one except the fussy cut badge in the bottom right hand corner. Got to love doing mens cards card with a minimum of fuss!I have taken a break from planning out my village lesson – just one more card to do, and already my mind is wandering, thinking about which paper collection I am going to play with next – I have a lot that I haven’t cut into yet because I have been so busy with xmas cards, but I am going to take a break from them and create something different – my boys ( and husband) are putting on a wrestling show tonight so I have hours of uninterrupted card making ahead of me .. bliss…. til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft garage days 4 and 5

IMG_8541 (Medium)IMG_8543 (Medium)I went deep into the blog archives to see what cards I had previously posted using this paper ( kaisercraft garage days) only to find that I had only posted a couple before now. This is terrible – it means somewhere in that craft room there is a lot of paper for men that has not been utilised. This is an oversight that will have to be remedied – maybe this weekend!I have a class to prepare, and more christmas cards to make, but I am sure I can fit in some mens makes somehow!Todays cards are a little dark – I think the shiny properties of the top card played havoc witgh nathans camera, but hopefully you get the idea. The stamps for the tools are from Stampin up – old ones I think called Totally tool. These are great for mens cards and you may still be able to get them on e-bay .Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Garage Days

IMG_8540 (Medium)I had to do some mens cards this month,so the first paper I reached for was Kaisercraft Garage Days, although I don’t have a great deal of choice –  mens themed  paper seems to be the hardest to find.here I have combined it with some tool stamps which I got a few years ago from Stampin Up so I am not sure if they are still available.I have also used a few of the matching collectables, and stampin up cardstock. Must run – work is calling…til tomorrow….

The last two Prima Forever Green cards

IMG_8590 (Medium)IMG_8593 (Medium)Here are the last two cards I have made with prima Forever Green paper collection.Bottom card – extras include some lace and prima flower, bakers twine and a bow that I made with the identity strip that runs along the bottom of the 12 x 12 papers. I showed my ladies in a class how to use this piece of paper that we all cut off and sometimes use as border strips, and I must find time to do a bit of a you tube clip to show you all – will organise that when I am on holidays in a couple of weeks. The top card has as extras a string of pearls, stampin up ruffled ribbon a flower, wink of stella brush on parts of the images, and some fussy cutting! I have so enjoyed making cards with this paper because I was able to use so many different colours, and styles. Favourite paper so far this year! No crafting this weekend as i am battling with tennis elbow. Hopefully it gets better soojn cos I am missing my craft room! Til tomorrow…..

Prima forever green and mixed media

IMG_8588 (Medium)card 1.IMG_8584 (Medium)card 2.IMG_8585 (Medium)close up of card 2.

Quite a long post today, to explain what I did to these cards! These two are my favourite cards using Prima Forever green collection, mainly because I made such a mess experimenting! From the top. card 1. I used retired stampin up stamps for the background text, green foilage and sentiment and used a Prima 3d die cut and fussy cut butterfly as a focus. a scrap of ribbon and lace to finish. Card 2.I used white cardstock and sprayed a couple of colours of fireworks onto it and then used a stencil and light texture paste. You have to wait a little while to let the paste dry, then to continue.. a touch of Wink of Stella on some of the dried texture paste for a bit of a gleam, random sequins, a prima forever green die cut and some punched greenery. In the close up you can see the glitter of the wink of stella brush. I enjoyed this technique  and will try it on some special christmas cards when I get half a minute to myself! til tomorrow…..

prima Forever Green 9 and 10

IMG_8587 (Medium)IMG_8589 (Medium)I feel like I have been posting cards made with this collection ( prima Forever green) for ever! but we will keep going because we are nearly finished, and the cards i managed to make out of this collection are all quite varied and there are a couple coming up that are my absolute favourites!.these two meanwhile use the usual variety of ribbon, flowers and even sequins, and the bottom card has a die cut fairy which I did using a spellbinders die, and I used my wink of stella brush to highlight the wings with a little blingy sheen. The cardstock is as usual stampin up.day off today, so I am off into the card room to get a head start on some orders. til tomorrow….
